Raylon met Avawrath and Taya at the sky island known as Zalik. It was full of vast open land, making it perfect for the trials of Veridonia.

There would be three people representing each sky island. There would be seven sky islands taking part in total, therefore there's 21 participants.

“Hey, it's good to meet you,” said Raylon to Avawrath and Taya. Taya smiled in response.

“I've no time to play with weaklings. Just stay out of my way” said Avawrath.

“We need to work together. The team with the most members by the end will win. Fighting against each other won't aid us in the slightest” replied Raylon.

“Really, let's have a contest of strength before this starts. Let's see what you can do, royal boy” said Avawrath.

As the other participants arrived, they witnessed a battle between Avawrath and Raylon.

Raylon tried to deliver a punch to the side of his head. Avawrath blocked it and elbowed his bicep. Raylon blasted him with flames, but he countered with flames of his own.

“You're not the only one with firepower,” said Avawrath. Raylon focused his energy and fire into his fist and tried to punch him but wings of a dragon emerged and blocked the attack.

“I have a pact with the Scoria dragon. To put it simply, it's a combination of earth and fire” said Avawrath as the Scoria dragon roared. It's vicious roar intimidated all participants that were gathered there.

Avawrath sent a wave of molten magma at Raylon. Raylon managed to roll out of the way but Avawrath hit him with a massive piece of the earth, sending him flying back.

Avawrath tried to dropkick him but Raylon sidestepped and delivered a shock wave attack against him. Unfortunately, he raised the ground to block and then sent it forward, knocking Raylon back.

“I guess I'll have to use my new technique now,” said Raylon as he got up.

The participants from the kingdom of Aqualia watched in anticipation. “These people certainly like a spectacle,” said Narumi. She's from the royal family in the kingdom of Aqualia and she is known for having a pact with the coral dragon.

“I agree,” said Jaiden. Jaiden was a part of an experiment from the kingdom of Aqualia. His abilities are unknown.

“They certainly love to put on a show,” said Talia. Even though she was just 18, she was appointed as a member of the imperial guards in Aqualia. She is able to change her elemental affinity based on the environment, allowing her to easily adapt to any situation.

Raylon began combining his fire with electricity. He overheated the ions and shocked it, creating plasma. It's similar to what you'd see on the sun, but on a much smaller level.

He sent out a blast of plasma and Avawrath didn't hesitate to dodge it. That blast of plasma was unstoppable.

Raylon then began sending out orbs of electricity rapidly. Avawrath raised the ground to evade them, but the orbs didn't disappear. Instead they began to connect to each other and sent out a proper lightning bolt that hit Avawrath.

As Avawrath fell off the raised ground, Raylon caught him mid-air with a jumping punch that sent him through the ground that was raised.

The warriors from the kingdom of Alzordia were intrigued. These vampires couldn't wait to battle these two.

“This is our chance to get our honour back after King Cassius and the rest of the royal family ruined it” said Maven. Maven was a vampire that was always draped in heavy armour and carried the legendary sword of desolation.

“I didn't think us vampires had a sense of pride,” replied Jin. Jin was the crush of all the young vampires in Alzordia. He exuded confidence and is known for being able to manipulate shadows as well as his blood magic.

“It's not just about us. It's about the reputation of the entirety of the kingdom of Alzordia” said Elise. She was always strict, and obsessed with cleanliness. She absorbs the power of attacks thrown at her and can reflect it back.

Avawrath dusted himself off and acknowledged that Raylon was strong, but he couldn't lose to him.

“Volcanic rush!” exclaimed Avawrath as he erected a volcano! It began spewing magma everywhere. The magma oozed out of the volcano and covered most of the battlefield.

Volcanic ash also blocked Raylon's vision. Avawrath rushed in with a burst of speed, leaving a trail of fire behind him and caught Raylon with a blast of fire by surprise. Raylon endured the hit and his palm struck his pelvis. He then rotated him and put him into a choke hold, trying to choke him out.

Avawrath made the volcano erupt, sending molten rock flying at Raylon.

Raylon released the chokehold and kicked him back. He then began weaving through the attacks from the volcano as he started to run up it. He used his fire techniques to create a barrier of flames around him to melt the rocks. He then focused all his energy into his legs to jump above the volcano.

Thereafter he combined his fire and electricity to create a plasma beam that eradicated the volcano! Its impact left a crater in the ground and sent the nearby warriors flying back.

The warriors from the kingdom of Zalphtalia watched on from afar. Zalphtalia consisted only of female fairies.

“This is so bad. We're not going to slay, we're going to get slayed” said Megan. Megan was a fairy that could cast illusions.

“I told you girls that this is no joke. Stay focused” said Emiru. She was a goth fairy that was capable of utilising a variety of dark magic techniques. It's not known how many techniques she can use.

“I just wish that I was at home right now” replied Zatala. She was able to turn into any animal that she had encountered.

Avawrath was shocked. Nobody had ever destroyed his volcano before. He surrounded himself with flames as well and charged at Raylon. Both of them were burning the area around them due to the sheer intensity of their flames.

Raylon altered the ionisation of the molecules in front of Avawrath, causing a combustion reaction. An explosion occurred in front of Avawrath, sending him flying back.

As he was down on the ground, Raylon kicked his chin upwards, flipping him. As he was airborne during the flip, Raylon focused his energy and fire and energy into his punch and delivered a devastating blow to his back, knocking him across the battlefield.

Even after receiving a brutal beating, Avawrath still wanted to fight, so Raylon sent out a shockwave that temporarily paralysed him, allowing him to punch him in the face, knocking him out.

The warriors from the kingdom of Sadhala were impressed. “Intriguing, but showcasing your abilities gives everyone a chance to figure out your weaknesses,” said Udon. Udon was a lazy man with a big belly. Despite this, he was intelligent and strong, although he could not use magic.

“Indeed. I look forward to having fun with all of them” said Kael. He was a kitsune that chose to join Sadhala. It was said he defeated the king of Sadhala to join, but his powers are unknown. His long red hair complimented his gold hanfu nicely.

“I bloody hope they're entertaining, mate. I was supposed to be at sea but now I'm here” said Captain Ragnar. He was able to manipulate gravity. Just like Agalon was. People wondered if they were connected somehow.

All of the comments and talking was cut short when Kodon entered with the last 6 participants. Everyone except the kingdom of Sadhala were shocked by their sheer aura.

“Now then, I'll begin by introducing the kingdom's of Warthral and Zarthral. The kingdom's that have warriors that are rumoured to oppose the Gods” said Kodon.
