The kingdom of Aqualia had a plan to defeat Zalphtalia. Narumi will use the abilities she gained from the pact with that coral dragon to be the main fighter in the battle. Talia was performing the rain dance in a secluded location to summon rainfall as it would enhance their abilities.

Jaiden would use his ability of altering the shape of his body and soaking up excess water to defend Narumi.

The kingdom of Zalphtalia would need to improvise and defeat those two before the rain dance was completed, but they had no idea that it was even being performed.

Emiru’s ability to use a variety of dark magic techniques marked her as a favourite to win.

Zatala’s ability to transform into any beast that she had seen further added to their confidence.

Megan's ability to cast illusions was often used to confuse their opponents so that the other two could finish them off.

Narumi charged at them and sent out a blast of water. Zatala transformed into a rhino and ran into Narumi. Narumi used the water on the floor to alter her direction and then she blasted her with fire!

“The coral dragon allows me to use both fire and water, as well as create clusters of coral” said Narumi as she infested the area with the coral.

Zatala tried to move, but the coral trapped her foot, and then spread across her body. Narumi landed a palm strike, and the coral added to the impact, dealing twice the damage. As Zatala flew back, she transformed into the Goliathus Magica. Her towering figure sent chills down Narumi’s spine.

To make things more difficult, Megan created the illusion of there being multiple Goliathus, confusing Narumi.

Narumi combined the affinity of fire and water to create steam, allowing her to escape.

Jaiden was battling Emiru, but she was incredibly strong and smashed his head into the ground. She then dragged his face across a wall and threw him into the air. She then blasted him with a dark energy ball that sent him tumbling across the area.

“Need a hand?” asked Narumi as she helped up Jaiden. As he accepted, she kicked him in the face. It was an illusion created by Megan!

Jaiden was enraged and altered his shape like he was made out of an elastic material. He then wrapped around Emiru as Narumi flooded the area with water.

He absorbed the water, increasing his weight and sending them falling to the location that Talia was performing the rain dance. Emiru summoned an army of skeletons and ordered them to attack Talia. She could not be disturbed while the rain dance was being performed so Jaiden had to protect her. He stretched his body around the horde of skeletons, and then proceeded to crush them.

“What she's doing must be important if you're willing to protect her that desperately” said Emiru as she touched the ground.

She used dark magic to animate the ground itself, turning it into a living creature. As it was about to swallow Talia, she said that she was done.

Rain began to fall over the entire battlefield.

Jaiden stretched out to save her and they went to go help Narumi. Megan's illusions confused her, but now it was Talia's turn to attack. She controlled every raindrop, and turned it into shards of ice. She sent it down across the battlefield, cutting every participant.

All the illusions were cut and disappeared.

This revealed the real Zatala who had turned into the Goliathus Magica. They weren't the only ones who benefited from the rain, as so did Kael in his battle against Taya.

“I'm disappointed. This rain will definitely weaken the phoenix and ruin my fun, but I can't back out now and return later” said Kael.

“I've had enough of your talking. Let's see if you can walk out of this alive” said Taya.

The flames of the phoenix were constantly battling against the rain, but it was intense enough to continue burning. It charged Kael, but he used the water surrounding him to create a typhoon. It knocked the phoenix back, but he was not done there.

He controlled the wind to alter the direction of the typhoon. It collided with the phoenix again and drenched it in water while the intense wind hindered its flames. This allowed Kael to deliver a piledriver to it, smashing its head into the ground. He separated the ground and it engulfed the phoenix. The flames of phoenix began burning intensely again and it broke through the ground to escape.

Kael created a massive tornado and covered the ground in water. The phoenix would not be held back this time and sent the tornado back with a majestic flap of its wings. That's when Kael stopped the tornado and sent blasts of water shooting all over the ground. With the rainfall in combination with that, it hindered the flames once again.

Kael was able to match the intensity of the flames of the phoenix and landed a double hammer fist to its head, sending it crashing into the ground. He then kicked it back and hit it with seven tails. He then rolled mid-air to gain momentum and hit it again with seven tails. This greatly damaged the phoenix and sent it flying through the battlefield.

“Don't give up! You're the legendary phoenix!” yelled Taya.

This motivated the phoenix to begin charging up a final fire blast using all its remaining energy. It sent out a wicked blast. The fire was so intense that it lit up the entire battlefield.

Kael used an attack in response. He may not be able to combine the affinities of two elements, but he was able to combine the four to create an imaginary mass that decimated the phoenix's fire blast and destroyed it. As it was killed, Taya’s pact was broken and she could no longer use intense flames.

“You did well, that was entertaining” said Kael as punched her, knocking her out.

With Taya eliminated, 17 participants remained.

Kodon was disappointed that a warrior from the kingdom of Arvardia was eliminated. He didn't dwell on it too much after witnessing Kael's strength.

Avawrath and Jin continued their battle. Jin went for a jump kick, but Avawrath raised a part of the ground to block. Jin didn't stop, he increased the energy flowing to his leg and kicked through the raised ground. Avawrath blasted him with flames, but he endured it due to his regeneration and tackled him into the ground.

He mounted him and was trying to land strikes against him, but Avawrath sent out magma. After Jin moved out the way, he erected a volcano that began spewing lava everywhere.

“Oi mates, can I join in?” asked Ragnar as he jumped into the battle.

He was going to land an attack but Raylon appeared and punched him away.

“We should have waited for them to wear each other down. You're too impatient. Luckily, I have a plan” said Udon.

The trials of Veridonia get even crazier and more unpredictable as it enters another phase.

It's almost impossible to say who will get eliminated next!
