“I'll handle this battle on my own. This is the perfect opportunity to showcase how strong I am to the newer generation” said Cassius.

“I'm Atara. These two vampires behind me are a part of my crew. The big one is named Skully, and the one wearing a top hat is named Taro” said the noble vampire.

Skully grunted in response. His massive body terrified some of the vampires watching. Taro used his acute sense of vision and heightened senses to spot where Erik was defeated. He turned into a swarm of bats and headed there immediately.

Cassius did not understand their goal, but he did not have much time to think as Atara swung a massive sword at him. He caught the sword using his bare hands but Atara was unphased by his show of strength. Skully charged at Cassius and he blasted him with blood, but it had no effect. The gigantic vampire tackled him and then mounted him. It began swinging wildly at him, the strength of its attacks creating a crater from impact.

Cassius grabbed both of its hands and pulled it in for a headbutt. He then summoned the blood dragon to hit it with a supercharged blood blast, but it had no effect.

“Skully is immune to blood magic. That won't work on him” said Atara as Skully punched the blood dragon.

The blood dragon used its blood attacks on him, but it had no effect. Skully flipped it and then hit it with a knee strike to the face. The blood dragon understood it would have to use physical force. It grabbed Skully with its mouth and tried to crush him but his skin was too tough. He broke free and hit the blood dragon with a hammer fist.

Cassius was amazed. That distracted him enough for Atara to hit him with a kick that sent him flying back.

“Don't get distracted, king of vampires. You won't live very long if you do that” said Atara.

The rest of the vampire royal family was in awe after witnessing these events. They wanted to step in, but they believed in Cassius.

Atara tried to punch Cassius, but she was no match for his speed and power. He sidestepped out the way and delivered a blood blast, sending her flying back.

“Not bad, but it'll take more than that,” said Atara as she got up. She began resurrecting the fallen vampires. She had a countless number of fallen vampires now under her control. They were at her beck and call.

“Get some revenge against your killer,” said Atara as they all targeted him. The blood dragon disappeared since Cassius had not fully bonded with it, allowing Skully to target him as well.

Cassius used his super strength to punch the ground, shaking the entire battlefield. He then began throwing the vampires at each other, as well as using his blood blast to send them all flying back.

Skully drop kicked him from behind, sending him flying into a slash from Atara's sword. He regenerated quickly and hit her with an uppercut that sent her flying away. Skully tried to sneak attack him again, but Cassius dodged this time and slammed his head into the ground.

Just when it appeared that he was getting the upper hand, Taro returned to the battlefield. “I'm not alone,” said Taro as a figure emerged from behind him.

It was Erik! Atara's resurrection technique can not only bring back the dead, but it can also restore their souls if she wishes. It has an incredible range as well, even from the battlefield she was able to access the technique. Taro simply went by Erik to feed him some blood to restore his strength.

“I've got quite the team, don't I? I'll admit that I lost, but why don't we have a second round” said Erik as he entered the battlefield. The entire vampire royal family joined the battlefield as well.

Upon sensing Erik's resurrection, Saraya decides to enter the fray, but she stops once she sensed an overwhelming presence. “He's here” said Saraya as a meteorite fell from the sky, piercing the barrier spell that prevents sunlight from entering the kingdom of Alzordia.

Something else fell through that barrier as well, breaking through the barrier and bringing sunlight across most of the battlefield. All of the vampires began to retreat to avoid the sunlight. Only the noble vampires took cover using a cloak that was Taro’s inventory.

The thing that fell was Kodon Celestia. The father of Raylon and the husband of Rusalka. He had a pact with the meteor dragon and had fully bonded with it. He was known as a warrior that even rivalled Saraya. As the wind blew, his long white hair stood out and revealed his attractive face. He looked like an older version of Raylon.

“Why is there so much unrest? I expected my family to be feasting here” said Kodon. The vampire royal family took cover behind a pile of fallen rock to avoid the sunlight. “The other vampires planned to usurp us. Resulting in a civil war” replied Queen Evelina.

Kodon sent another meteorite that blasted through the barrier, causing sunlight to shine on the vampire royal family. Before they could burn up, King Cassius grabbed his family and moved them to a spot full of fallen trees. It was barely enough shade, but it just managed to save them.

“My family's safety should have been a priority. It looks like you vampires have become too unruly. I'll have to teach you a lesson” said Kodon. He sent out a beam of energy towards the urban area, destroying almost half of the kingdom.

The vampire royal family felt intense despair and the nobles that were watching started sweating. Kodon was about to blast the vampire royal family, but Saraya stopped him.

“That's enough!” yelled Saraya. “Who are you to order me around?” replied Kodon.

The two strongest warriors in all of Veridonia were now standing face to face!
