"To settle your past?" Cavaron's summons wondered at his reason. "Brother, if I remember correctly..." Stormfell spoke, "A century ago, we felt you go berserk. Is this past of yours related to what led to you going berserk? Because, when we got there, you were bathed in the flames of Dark Fate, laying waste to everything around you. Your emotions, they were transmitted to us, and seeing how you attempted to kill all those around you, we thought it right to punish them for their sins against you... But now... Now you tell us it is to 'settle your past'? What else is there left for you to reconcile?"
Cavaron looked at the rapier wielding man in front of him, his gaze unchanged, and his expression was a smile, "Stormfell, you always were a smart one. No surprise that you would think about my wellbeing that much. Well..." Cavaron then faced Adelward, "You should have heard from Burkhard about the circumstances this time." Everyone present turned towards the heavily armored eight-foot giant carrying two gigantic shields on both arms. Adelward looked down for a moment, then raised his head and spoke.
"Elder Brother was defeated by the same flames Milord carries within him." As Adelward said so, the faces of all present, except for Morana, changed. Morana, on the side, enquired with the Dark Prince, Nox, regarding the events of the past. Nox looked at Cavaron, who noticed his questioning gaze and shrugged, before telling Morana what happened before.
"It was the same for many of us." said Nox, "We were minding our own businesses within our home worlds like usual. Some of us were asleep, like Culverin over there, others were managing their vassals like I was. Suddenly, we felt something amiss, something strange within ourselves. No sooner than a blink, we felt Cavaron's power explode through time and space, reaching us, enveloping us. Some of us collapsed and shivered, like Lady Avani, immense fear, anger, hatred, sadness... We felt so much from Cavaron. And, like today, we experienced no distance between us as we ran to his side. Space shattered, his voice reached us and in turn, we reached him. Upon our arrival, all we could see was madness... Absolute madness."
Muramasa suddenly jumped up and down, "Yes, yes, yes! His madness infected us, the emotions he showed, we felt! When we looked around ourselves, the enemy attacked, so we fought back! Masamune here... Hahahaha, I have never seen him so frantic, so... much... like... ME!" and was silenced by Masamune's blade, which he evaded, "What? It's true! The madness covered us all, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to lay waste to his enemies!"
"Silence!" Masamune yelled, "I admit, I succumbed to the madness, but it was not his! My friend would never submit to such weakness without reason!" Masamune was furious. One could surmise that he did not like what happened back then. Morana, with her rattling bones, stared at Masamune, then at Muramasa, then at Nox. Nox noticed her gaze, and heaved a sigh. "True, even with my dark arts, the things we experienced that day, even I could not fathom it. It was worse than mine, and this is coming from a practitioner of such things." Morana, the newest member, bowed with gratitude, "Thank you for sating my desire to not be left out."
Culverin, as the most senior of them all having been given to Cavaron as a gift from mentor to student, with his arms crossed as orange flames flickered on his body with each breath he took, "The question on my mind right now is, 'How can the same flame be here?' is this the reason why you became reckless?" Culverin's gaze was fixed on Cavaron's eyes. Cavaron, who received such a questioning stare, answered back, "Er, yeah. A person in my past returned to give me hell." Now, everyone's expression turned serious. The first to break the silence was, surprisingly, Morana.
"Master, with my arsenal borne from the dark Felrok arts, I will give my utmost effort in aiding you through your ordeal." Morana bowed deep before Cavaron which shocked many of the other summons, "This necromancer may be new, but my power is great. Though not as great as Athanasius, my power is still amongst the higher echelons of the past Empire." With her sudden action, a change happened amongst the other summons. The two Blade Spirits knelt and did a dogeza, a bowing form of respect for the Japanese. Adelward and the War Spirits did so as well by going down on one knee, similar to knights kneeling before their lord. The Hunter Spirits clasped their hands, and bowed where they stood. Capacitor even lowered its front limbs, assuming a posture of servitude.
The Elementals, as they were of a higher order, Culverin just massaged his nape, Glacia and the women smiled, Stormfell shrugged, and Nox nodded. "Well, whatever. No idea how it reached this point but, fine, seeing as you, yourself, won't even tell us, we won't bother." said Culverin, "However, if you do something as reckless as this again, you'll be sure that we'll be locking you up in Adamantium with only your face free for breathing. Contract or not, our priority is your safety. Got it?" Cavaron smiled and opened his arms wide, "Give me a hug~"
This seemingly random action by Cavaron was accepted by Felicia as she pounced on him immediately after saying so. Only, there was someone else in his arms, "Candy!!!" It was Shamira. "Okay! Will somebody please explain what happened to the Cross Ark?!"

After the scuffle with Shamira, Cavaron and his summons filed out, one after another, from the garden through the gate that Cavaron went through. "Oh, right." Cavaron spoke as they walked, "Don't mention any of this to Bronte, you know how he gets frantic when it comes to me." The others who were following him nodded, and before long they passed through the gate.

Two Legion Commanders stood by the side of the opposite gate. "Brother, it has been three hours already, what do you think he's doing in there?" Ashe Sloivat asked Akash who, for some reason, stood stock still, "Brother, is there–" Ashe was about to ask a question when Akash interrupted her, "Did you not feel it, sister?" Akash was pale as he turned his gaze towards her, "Did you not feel the massive fluctuation, the two massive fluctuations of mana around us? It was the same as back then, back when I was part of the rank and file, back when I was one of the lowliest knights... Cavaron, what do you plan to do?"
Just as Akash said so, the gate beside them activated, signifying that someone was passing through from the other side. "He's back." said Ashe as she looked at the swirling mana within the gate. "Hey there, you two." Cavaron was the first to step through, Akash seemed like he was about to speak but froze upon seeing the gate still activated, "Huh?" More people filed out of the gate after Cavaron, and at the sight of the people, Akash fell on his bottom, "W-w-what are—!?"
"Hey, it's the soldier guy." said Bellatrix with her eyes gleaming, "Yer still alive, eh? Guess Cavaron's mercy paid off." The other summons, apart from Morana, recognized Akash as well, and gave out their own greetings to the shivering Legion Commander who most probably recalled the past encounter a century ago. Ashe, who witnessed the sad state of her brother, stared at the summons as they passed, until Muramasa's eyes met hers. When they did so, a change occurred in Muramasa, he couldn't stop looking at the armored blonde angel however, Ashe, instead looked away due to Muramasa's gaze. Ulrika nudged the immobile Blade Spirit, "What's wrong with you, our Lord is might leave without us." Ulrika's comment broke Muramasa from his daze, "Uh... Huh." and made one last glance at the female Legion Commander.
Akash recovered from his state, and immediately went next to Cavaron, "What are you planning!?" asked Akash alarmingly, "Do you plan to have another Wrath of Gods!?" Cavaron was still walking and was about to reach the foot of the stairs before he faced the frantic angel, "No worries, from what I've read from the Byblos, the amount of damage back then couldn't entirely be attributed to us." said Cavaron with absolute certainty, "I admit, I annihilated quite a lot of all three races but, these summons of mine and I couldn't take out a third of Edeortha's population in a single night. Since you reminded me about it, I suspect that the Byblos, even though it is a god level artifact, cannot see everything with absolute certainty, and most likely missed a certain entity that could explain what happened."
Cavaron gave his reason for summoning a number of contracts into Edeortha, and while Akash stared at him, he signaled his summons to follow as he turned to go up the stairs back to the surface. From what he had said to Akash, it is a wonder how a third of Edeortha and a large area of its land were destroyed in a single night. Due to his explanation, there is now a hole filled with uncertainty regarding his true power. Still, with the existence of his insurance-level contracts that are yet to be seen, one should not assume that this is the extent of his power.

Back on the surface, Cavaron and company arrived at the Sky Tower's Lower Area lobby. The area was empty except for a few patrolling soldiers and coalition troops. The usually busy Lower Area now only had the officials of the Sky Tower and important guests like Cavaron. Due to the incident regarding Azrael, security has been raised to high heaven, and civilians and foreign dignitaries were barred from entering. In the middle of the lobby were a group of people with a chimeric being. The chimeric being was Halrimaw, one of Cavaron's summons, and the people with him were Bronte, the Thunder God, Aimi, Aomi, and surprisingly, Maguro and his companions. Cavaron was approaching them, followed by his summons, when Maguro sensed something and looked at their direction.
"Cavaron, you're back!" exclaimed Maguro, "The hell did you spend so much mana f... Oh..." Maguro most probably felt the huge fluctuations of mana when Cavaron performed the Mass Summonings of his contracts. One should not be surprised if his actions were picked up by those of the same field or similar. If one summon required a large amount of mana, what more for all of them together? Everyone else with Maguro turned to greet Cavaron, but were instead shocked at the sight of the group behind him.
"Papa!!" Bronte bolted towards Cavaron and slammed onto his waist, "Are you okay?" Cavaron lifted Bronte up and hugged him back, "I'm okay, just drained. Have you filled the converters?" asked Cavaron since he did give Bronte a number of the Magitech artifacts. Bronte nodded and pulled out ten cubes brimming with power, "I'm done with these, I'm still charging the rest." Cavaron received the Converters and gave Bronte a rub on his head, "Thanks." Cavaron then absorbed all of the mana inside the Converters as the cubes lost their shine. In no more than a minute, all of the cubes became pitch black and were returned to Bronte, "Hmm, gonna need a bit more for them..." muttered Cavaron. This was picked up by Ylva whose expression turned sour, yet she stayed silent. Nobody noticed Ylva's expression, and Cavaron's mutter so everybody just went along with whatever's happening.
