Flashback
"Cavaron, could you help me out?" Aisha called out to me while I was chopping wood outside. "Coming!" I replied to her. What could she need from me at this time of day? Anyway, I leave the ax leaning on the stump, and head back inside. Entering the house, "Where are you?" I asked out to her, then I found her hand waving at me in the bedroom. I entered the bedroom and found her with a basket of the blue and white flowers next to her on the bed. Seeing me, she said, "Come, sit here." and patted the space next to her, and so I obediently sat down.
She stood up, and suddenly hugged me. Honestly, I was surprised by her actions, and was about to hug her back only for her to suddenly let go and mutter, "This big, huh?" I raised a brow wondering what she could have meant by that. Noticing my questioning gaze, she smiled back at me with her finger on her lips, "Thank you for your help, you can go now." Dumbfounded by her actions, I just silently nodded, left her to whatever she was doing, and went back to chopping wood.
After chopping enough wood for a week, it was already high noon, and I could feel the sweat trail down my back. Finishing up, I went back inside the house, and found Aisha preparing lunch. Her earlier actions still on my mind, I tried to ask her about it but she noticed me and said, "The bath is already prepared, I'll call you once I finish making lunch!" Okay, guess I'll head off to the bath instead.
In the bath, I stared at my palms and tried to manipulate the mana within me. It's frustrating not knowing what happened to my own body. I no longer find any trace of that black thing anywhere on my body, nor do I feel any different except for the fact that my mana's unable to be utilized and manipulated. I don't feel ill nor lethargic, nor do I feel something physically weird inside of me. I guess it really did... or is still doing something to my mana.
I've heard from a friend of mine... well, many of them, telling me that my mana fused with my soul granting me eternal youth. I was excited when I first heard about it, then they had to pour cold water on me by saying that I could still die unless I was a god. I've been alive for so long, and this incident nearly killed me. Wait... if my mana is fused to my soul granting me eternal youth, and the fact that I can't use my mana... is my eternal youth revoked? Did the Dark Fate flame damage my soul!? Shit, what is this feeling? Fear? Hopelessness? Hahahahaha... This is...

Somewhere north of Central Edeortha.
A large shadow covered the land. This shadow spanned many kilometers wide and moved south. If one were to look above them, they will know the shadow's casters.
Legions of angels flew majestically as they headed south. These angels numbered close to 240 million. At the very front of this mass of angels were fourteen elegantly decorated and armored angels, and two of these fourteen, at the very middle, had very beautiful gold-lined armor. They were Palu'Angit and Ethra, and the remaining twelve were the Legion commanders of the Sky. If one were to divide the 240 million amongst the twelve Legion Commanders, then there would be at least 20 million angels in one legion. Speaking of, the legions themselves were flying in a delta formation, a triangle, as they flew south.
"Lord, a nest of Arrowheads are heading our way." A Sky Knight suddenly arrived next to Palu'Angit, "We will meet them in five minutes, there." and pointed to the east. There was a flock of flying monsters en route towards the legions. "First Wing, intercept and take down the Arrowheads before they disrupt our formation!" Palu'Angit shouted, then a group of angels broke of from the legions and headed towards the Arrowheads that numbered to thirteen. The arrowheads were a dragon and bird like hybrid with a hard, arrow like head, thus their name. They have two hind legs, and had wings for their forearms which makes them similar to harpies, only less human and more reptilian, and were fifteen meters in length.
When the First Wing was about to clash with the Arrowheads, a barrage of magic flew out from the angels, and zeroed in to their targets. Fireballs burned the Arrowheads' wings, Ice Shards impaled them, and Lightning Bolts paralyzed their muscles sending all thirteen hurtling towards the ground. Seeing that the threat has been dealt with, the First Wing returned to their legion and resumed their flight to the south.
For an hour or two, this repeated while cycling Wings of angels to conserve their mana. Soon, over the horizon, a mountain range could be seen. "Is that it, father?" asked Ethra to Palu'Angit flying next to her, "Fort Malachi?" Palu'Angit nodded to his daughter. On the ridge line of the mountains stood twelve towers surrounded by high walls and natural cliffs. Getting closer, a group of angels flew out of one of the towers, and it headed towards the 240 million.
"Captain Folmarv of the 301st Wing, reporting to His Majesty!" shouted a decorated angel with a salute. All twelve legions halted in midair, and Palu'Angit flew in front of Folmarv. "Has everybody deployed to their respective locations?" asked Palu'Angit. "Yes, Milord!" Folmarv affirmed. Palu'Angit faced the legions, "Move according to the plan!" and announced with a loud voice. Immediately, the 240 million split up to their respective regions, and spread themselves out to the surrounding areas leaving only Palu'Angit and Ethra with Folmarv.
Palu'Angit faced Ethra, "Come, my child. Let us meet mother." and said as he flew past the mountain range and went into a valley with Ethra, Folmarv, and the rest of the 301st Wing following behind him.

Somewhere east of Central Edeortha.
"Stone Devourers incoming!" shouted a soldier. "Arrowheads inbound!" shouted another soldier. The 185 million strong human army was in constant threat of monsters attacking from any and all directions. Even with Azrael's support, with such a huge amount of soldiers moving, it became hard to keep everything in order. Stone Devourers poured out in droves on the ground, and Arrowheads were divebombing from the air. Even with Azrael's speed, the large amount of monsters kept him busy enough to fend for himself.
"This is really fun!" exclaimed Azrael, "Akakakakakakaka!!" With his scythe, heads of monsters lopped off one after another. The soldiers that heard his bloodcurdling laughter shivered as they held their place. "Eh... So fun, now it's getting boring." suddenly, Azrael's mood changed, and his scythe shone an eerie purple light, "Let's finish this... BECOME MY FOOD, FEAST OF THE BLOOD REVENANTS!!!" the purple light from his scythe exploded and expanded all around the armies, and covered the soldiers' weapons. "Now, KILL TO YOUR HEART'S CONTENT!!!"
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
With Azrael's shout, the soldiers, whose weapons glowed with the eerie purple light, attacked the monsters. The swords, spears, and axes of those on the ground sank through the monsters' bodies, and released a skull-like shadow above them. This shadow, as though it had a voice, shrieked a terrifyingly shrill scream, and zapped back to Azrael. The monsters that got hit by these immediately died at contact. "Hahahaha!!! Yes, delicious life essences!!!" Azrael revelled each time the shadows entered his body, and the soldiers who witnessed this dropped their weapons out of fear, while some still continued the slaughter. Everything that happened on the ground also happened in the sky. Arrowheads that were struck by arrows and crossbow bolts fell to the same fate as Azrael's food.
After all of the remaining monsters have been taken care of, everybody resumed their march westwards while many talked about Azrael's abilities. "What do you think? Think we'll rule this world?" asked a soldier. "Hmm, can't say. Remember how we lost that first one?" replied another. Even though they were able to successfully summon Azrael, the fact that they lost Cavaron remained, and left doubts in the hearts of some soldiers. "I heard that after the first one lost, all those who accompanied him died except for a few that feigned death." Many high ranking officers heard the chatter, "You lot! Quit the chatter!" and scolded the soldiers, "As far as I can tell, a champion that feeds through his allies is better than a champion that leaves his allies to die."
Although Azrael was at the front next to Aldric, his keen senses picked up the chatter, and they piqued his interest, "Hey, Aldric. Who's this previously summoned champ I'm hearing?" asked Azrael to Aldric. Aldric, thinking that it would be of no consequence telling him about it, replied, "His name is Cavaron. We summoned him before you to aid us. Sadly, we lost him somewhere in Central Edeortha." As Azrael listened, his expression changed, and a malicious grin appeared, "Cavaron? Blue armor, red cape, two swords Cavaron?" asked Azrael rather happily. Aldric, and the people around them, were shocked. Azrael knew who Cavaron was. "Hehehehe, you said he lost? Hahahaha, that cannot be. Our kind cannot lose that easily, unless the gods of fate were dead themselves." Azrael fixed his posture on his mount, "Come, Aldric. Let us ride!"

Somewhere east of Central Edeortha.
Bodies of flying monsters fell from the skies and littered the ground. Hundreds of corpses of monsters lay rotting all around a large moving body of demons. The demons themselves did nothing and were not responsible for felling the monsters around them. "GGGGRRRRUUUUUOOOOOOAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!" a loud roar erupted at the front of the mass of demons. It came from the colossus that led them, their "Father", Pyo'ah. Upon his roar, the incoming monsters in the air suddenly froze mid-flight and fell, letting their bodies subject to the vertical force of gravity. The monsters on the ground held the same fate as those in the skies. For each time Pyo'ah roared, the power of his voice carried death to those who heard it. At the least, for the monsters that hear it, as none of his "children" fell to the power of his roar.
As corpses of monsters fell one group after another, a lone wyvern appeared at perched onto Pyo'ah's shoulder, and was carrying a lizardman. "Father, the scouts bring news." said the lizardman, "We have found a legion of angels encircling a valley in Central Edeortha." Pyo'ah listened well to the lizardman, and with his nod, the lizardman left with the wyvern. 'So, Palu'Angit seeks Demetria as well.' thought Pyo'ah, 'What does he need from her, I wonder?' With a wave of his arm, tens of thousands of wyverns with lizardmen came before him. "Children, take some of the Dark Fate dragons that can fly, and wreak havoc upon any enemy you see." commanded Pyo'ah, "I hear that a feast of blood will be welcoming us."
Flying in midair, the wyverns and their riders flew towards the mass of demons, and roared. Soon, fifteen dragons, that were about 20-30 meters in length, flew up and left the mass to go with the wyverns. Pyo'ah watched as the tens of thousands of wyvern riders and dragons left towards the horizon, "Let the dark flames consume all."

If I am to live the rest of my live as a mortal in this world, with no idea when I will age and die... If it is so, then so be it. I will live the last of my life with her. I got up from the bathtub, I won't even bother drying my body, and went to the door. Lifting my arm to open it, I heard the click of the door, and it swung open. Behind it was Aisha who was shocked to see me at the door, still wet with bath water.
"Cavaron, you should dry yourself if you're finished." she said to me. I heard it clearly, yet my body did not react accordingly. Instead, I stared into her eyes. "Cavaron? Is something the matt–" I brought my arms around her to silence her, if just for a little while, and with my wet body, I hugged her dearly. "A... Ah... Ca... Cavaron..." she stuttered in my embrace. I looked down upon her flushed cheeks, lowered my head, and with my next action, silenced her with a kiss to her lips. Her eyes became wide with shock, I wasn't surprised with her reaction, but what she did next surprised me instead.
She pulled me out of the bathroom, still with our lips locked together. Out in the living room, she returned my embrace with hers. Just like that, we left ourselves to be consumed by our carnal desires.
