I finally arrive at the gate. It's a gigantic gate made out of some sort of reddish stone. There is a ditch of lava surrounding this city. So I can only enter through one of the gates. I look at the wall surrounding the city and see a lot of petrified gargoyle statues on top of it.
Just when I walked over the obsidian bridge, I see a fight break out between two demonic beings. One is larger and resembles an orc, but you can see from his skin, which looks like a floor sipping with lava, that he is actually a demonic being. The other looks like an old man. Well, let me rephrase, that he would have looked like an old man. If you ignore the fact that his skin is rotten, that he's eyeless, the gloomy aura, and that parasites literally come out of his eye sockets.
The large demonic beast takes out his great war hammer and strikes the one resembling an old man. As soon as he hits, I could see and hear the bones in his rib case shattering. Yet, the old man only gives a creepy smile as thousands of satanic-looking bugs fly out of his mouth and quickly start devouring the larger demon.
The orc is yelling in pain as he's getting eaten alive. Unable to die completely because of his ability called endurance and his strong regenerative powers. As the orc-like being collapsed to the ground, the older one gives me a look and a nod before walking into the city.
I continue walking towards the entrance until I felt the hand of the orc on my ankle. He's still getting eaten and seems to be facing a slow but inevitable death.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
“Please kill me quickly.” He says in his low yet defeated tone.
“Why should I? You lost, after all. It's not my place to interfere with the result of your duel.”
This is one of the things Cornelius told me about Appolyian. When 2 demons duel each other, the others tend to leave the loser to the fate the winner decides. There is no benefit in the weak after all.
It's believed that these rules of strength came to be after Luciel lost to Asariel. She realized if the demons allowed weakness, that they would simply get destroyed. A lot of her rules were made out of her lasting resentment towards Asariel. Even her symbol, A red eye that resembles the color of the light Lucille's light gives off and also mocks Asariel's blindness. I personally also think that the color red resembles the amount of bloodshed that's spilled here.
The orc-like demon starts laughing.”HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH”
He looks at me with a newfound fervor. “You're not intervening in the result lowly shade, my death is imminent. But I wonder, is the true reason you can't kill me because you're unable to kill!” he yells, making sure that his voice will be heard by all.
A demon who can't kill is useless. He's forcing me to kill him to prove my capabilities.
He's slowly getting back up to his feet, which is impressive considering the fact that the insect is tearing into his muscles as he speaks. “You pathetic little ru…”
These are the last words he's able to say as I create a spear made of darkness and impale his neck as he's standing up.
“So noisy.” I say in a cold tone.
The orc struggles to speak as he's choking on his own blood while being eaten alive. I give him one more uninterested look before I throw him in the lava ditch.
