I slowly open my eyes as I wake up from my sleep. Immediately I look over to my bed where I can see the little horns of Elizabeth peek out from the blankets. It seems that she's still sleeping.
'i should probably let her sleep.' I think as I look towards the little sleeping girl.
I leave a note on the desk that I'm off however that I should be back before the evening.
Arriving downstairs I can Ashmodai. Suprise Suprise, still in the exact same spot.
"Are you bound to this chair by any chance?" I ask half-seriously.
"I beg your pardon?" He answers not expecting such a greeting in the morning.
"Nevermind, any way you were gonna show how to do rituals?" I ask a bit impatient.
"Yes, my friend your right," he answers not explaining further.
"What do I need to do?" I ask expecting an actual explanation.
"Well, you see rituals aren't something you learn in the field. Because most of the time failing a ritual can have great consequences. They are mostly used to create chimera's and the sort."
"So how do I learn to use it then?"I ask rather confused.
Once my question is finished Ashmodai orders the coffee drink called "Demon Rage". he puts the extremely potent coffee before me. I feel a shiver crawl against my spine as a feeling of absolute dread falls over me. Ashmodai stands up, whistles, and thus 50 huge books get brought in. They get placed before me as I can feel Ashmodai pat my back.

"Good luck," he says before sitting down at another table.
I take a look at my opponents and feel completely outclassed.
'how can someone write this much in a book!!' I scream internally.
*sighs*
"let's just get this over with."
***
An entire day has passed since I started reading these books. The content itself is easy to understand thanks to the seer's blessing. It's just the sheer amount of information that's killing me. Especially the books of this person name Maximilian Consciension. A human writer surprisingly enough who claims chimeras are the next step in the evolution chain.
"We must aim to achieve perfection in all forms. Our bodies and thus minds are limited. All those who call themselves true men and women are stuck in the past. Will being a true human save you from aging? NO!" afterward he always starts rambling over how useless human life is compared to the greater evolution.
'Your typical mad scientist' I think to myself.
I sigh as I see that I've only managed to finish 3 from the 50 books.
'this better actually helps me.' I grumble to myself.
Ashmodai notices me calling it a day as he immediately stands up. He gives me a quick wave as he makes space to sit down in his old spot.
"Why?" I ask exhausted.
I keep standing as Ashmodai ignores my question.
5 awkward minutes pass before he answers.
"It just didn't feel right." He answers probably self-conscious now of how long he sits in that chair.
hearing his surprisingly bashful reply, I make my way back towards my room. I turn around as I order some food.
'She probably wants to eat something.' I think as I remember her malnourished frame.
The succubi who work in this establishment have heard Ashmodai proclaim this "friendship" with me. This has the unexpected advantage that they just charge him for all I order.
'Well, you wanted this friendship.' I think to myself feeling no shame.
Food in hand I make my way up once more to my room.
