Solitude's Requiem
A Impish Imp

A Impish Imp

I take the card out of the undead orcs body. A lot of demons seem disappointed that the fight ended rather quickly, or perhaps because I'm not the easy prey they thought I was. I look at the source of this fight.

The imp seems to be rather delighted with how things turned out. He gives me a thumbs-up as if saying that he did me a favor. I respond by quickly grabbing that little arm. He's visibly surprised and quickly starts giving small pained squeals.

“Ah auw stop sir, please sir. I'm begging you.”

“Why should I? You could have gotten me killed.” I say focusing some blood magic on my arm which boosts its strength.

“Of course not great, sir. I know you would win.” He says, trying to suppress his groans.

“That's quite easy to say.” I answer not impresses by his excuses.

“I don't have a second card, so I think I will just kill you.” I say while forming a spear of darkness.

“NOOOOOO, PLEASE!! PLEASE!! I CAN HELP YOU!!” He says panicking.

“How?”

“Great sir wants to get stronger right? I… I…. Know someone who can help, mister!!”

“Why would you think that?”

“I can see information about people great sir. I don't believe great sir has any soul abilities, yet you captured his soul. Of course, I can be wrong..... And you're very strong already, great sir… PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!!!!” He says, clearly panicking.

'If he's speaking about seeing information, then that means he has appraisal?' I think before appraising him myself.

-lesser imp-

Name: Randyl

information:

[insightful]

[Troublemaker]

[Willing servant]

[Grovel]

[Expert pickpocket]

I frown, seeing the information about the little troublemaker. I decided to look closer at the information about the willing servant, as the rest are self-explanatory.

[Willing servant]: This being has out of his own volition decide to be in servitude to another.

'That does deem to make sense' I think to myself, looking even more disappointed at him.

“Why are you looking at me like that, great sir.” He says, on the verge of crying.

“Who is this person that can help me?”

His face immediately brightens, seeing his chance of survival rise.

“She's my mistress, great sir. She is a powerful seer who lives in the lower district.”

“Lower district?”

“Are you new here, great sir?”

“Yes”

“Will you let me live if I explain the districts, almighty sir?”

“Your chances of dying will be lower at lea.....”

I couldn't even finish my sentence before he starts rambling.

“You see beautiful and powerful sir Lucille's Light has 5 districts: The abandoned district, the blood district, the market district, the upper district, and the lower district.

The abandoned district: This is the district where failed experiments get dropped off. You know like weak chimeras or chimeras who can't be controlled.

The blood district: Is the district with all the arenas. It's basically the place to be if you're looking to make a reputation or if you are looking for a place where everybody wants to kill.

The market district: is the district where the most commerce is. people tend to avoid fighting there seeing that some shops are protected by strong demons.

The upper and lower districts: These are more like the living quarters of Lucille's light. Lower demons tend to live together in the lower district and stronger ones in the upper.

Was, was that an acceptable explanation, sir?” he says, stuttering nervously.

My gaze softens from anger to my more normal “I don't care” face as I drop the little imp. He desperately tries to calm himself before finally standing up.

“Lead the way”
