Side Story: Life of an evil God
(God of Frozen Aqua's POV)
I was hatched a lamprey... a parasitic fish...
I was the first sea-creature to evolve into a god.
Why is it that even after I attained god-hood I'm still the lowest one on the food chain?
The other four gods of the sea laugh at me, at my origins... I clawed my way up by burrowing into my prey and consuming their hearts! They are oh so cocky about their being the original gods. Created from the birth of life... they mock me, they use me... I cannot do a thing about it because they are my sponsors.
I watch them, they are tight-knit. Arrogant. They see themselves as brothers.
I talk to them individually, trying to find their weaknesses... perhaps to hurt them.
What I find is that one has been lusting after a titan...
He dares not do anything.
Not until I whisper poisoned words in his ear.
He is a god, it is his right to do as he likes with lesser creatures. That he should take what he wants and do as he pleases, after all they only exist to serve our whims...
He does just that... ravishing the Scylla, to death even.
Then to my delight the Charybdis retaliates and slowly destroys him...
I keep quiet about the affair and let the arrogant brothers find out for themselves how he died... and marvellously they die as well! Ha! The Charybdis is a tool I soon learn to use. I harry her with lesser gods that annoy me and occasionally bait her into attacking innocent gods and demi-gods to keep her hate alive.
I spread my control into the realms of ice and touch upon other worlds as I explore my authority.
Unfortunately as I am lacking numbers in my area. I am forced to empower and mentor candidates for godhood. I use this as a way to eliminate the competition. Sometimes using titans or other gods with an advantage over the demi-god I annihilate them one by one.
I'm fairly sure the Goddess of Wisdom knows what I'm doing, but she lacks the authority to stop me as I have not broken laws. I have never killed a god directly. All have fallen by their own actions, by their own choices and by their own weaknesses.
Charybdis has changed because of my interference, she now captures and drives her prey mad, before killing them. She attacks any god she meets, but as I command the Turtle Island I may evade her long before I see her.
Eventually I reach out to worlds beyond this one.
I watch several that are vastly different to our own. I watch Ice Ages, Ocean planets and one which hasn't had land creatures evolve.
The systems for life to grow are each unique and unusual... uncontrolled.
I watch as the Ice Age ends and intelligent creatures rise up, a creature like our own humans.
The great flood that creates the Mediterranean Sea.
I enjoy naval battles and floods.
Diving bells and submarines.
Occasionally I wipe away a reincarnation likely human destined to become a god that poses some kind of issue early.
I enjoy the luxury of television and internet, since the water catches these transmissions.
I do so enjoy disaster movies.
The internet is indeed a vast sea of information, one that falls under my providence by that phrase.
So I control the ebb and flow, the evolution of ideas and the crashing of servers.
I think that if I didn't have such fears and insecurities I would drown myself in it.
It gives me more access to my enemies too.
Ah, facebook and twitter you have made my life easier.

I wonder how many people can say that...
Like this fellow, Calvin Alex Murray.
He would never even wade on my shores... one day he would take control of a continent, by raising it from the sea-bed.
What an annoying god he would be.
So I wipe him away, taking his life in a surge of waves when he is too close.
Well done, if I do say so myself. No way he'll ever be a god of the ground with so much linking him to the sea.
Welcome to Davey Jones' Locker. For all your storage needs.
… wait... what is all of this? There are a lot of anomalous evolutions and reincarnations lately.
Huh... I did my job a little too well?
It seems the ridiculous Calvin has become a unique variant? How did that slip by me?
Hmmm... well lets send him a little playmate...
To my surprise he beat the Mantis Shrimp rare variant.
How did he manage that?! That was a step up from him in power. It should have been instant death.
Well... it is official. He's on the list of potential gods of the sea... annoying.
I give him his damn blessing and unique evolution. I never expected he'd earned one.
What is going on with this guy? His fate is all screwy because I broke it...
Well... if I have to mentor him... I might as well enjoy it while it lasts.
…
This guy... he's ridiculous.
…
Uh... okay, now I'm getting worried.
I wonder if that old shark is around... I send a current with a good taste of blood on it his way and sit back to watch the carnage.
…
He beat the shark? No way!
…
Dammit. He evolved to a demigod. He even chose it, specifically avoiding the titan evolution I put there to tempt him.
The bastard even stole followers from me! Unforgivable!
Looks like I'll have to pull out the big guns...
I have a lesser fire god kick the sleeping Hydra awake.
Then on a wild goose-chase I send him toward good old Charybdis.
She's put an end to more annoying flies than a spider.
…
Uh... what am I seeing here?!
Did he really just...
…
I think I made a bad situation worse...
I know! I'll have him stripped of god-hood.
I bring the searching fleet to his island followers...
Dammit... foiled again.
You're helping him, aren't you Goddess of Wisdom?!
…
Why is the Hydra a community challenge now?
That Goddess screwed with me again!
What the flying fuck is Charybdis doing with that traitor?!
…
No way he'll lose now...
Better start planing how to deal with him...
I know! He's sure to come for me eventually...
Lets see if we can't trick him into trying to kill me and finishing him off.
…
Ha! Joke's on you, the other gods know what you did!
They are going to kill you.
The only rule we have, you broke. You killed your mentor... nothing you can do will...
What is that white stuff?
Why is it in this deathtrap with me?!
BURNING WHITE FIRE!!!
GYAAAAAAAAHAHHHAAAA!!!!!!!!!!
(Death)
