Since the great deity left, the young sub-dragon resumed living alone. In the vast, empty nest, it felt very lonely. It suddenly remembered its mother and its past life. As for its father, the young sub-dragon had never seen him since birth.
Its mother was a powerful sub-dragon. In the young sub-dragon's heart, she was the strongest, with her massive body, strong muscles, and thick scales. She could catch the most delicious food. No matter how powerful the prey was, it would be torn apart under her giant claws. Those were the happiest days of its life.
Apart from clinging to its mother, it spent its days playing and sleeping, without worrying about food.
But one day, it could no longer find its mother. She went out hunting and never returned, leaving the young sub-dragon alone. The forest was full of dangers, with huge beasts everywhere.
Its nightmare began. It dared not go out to hunt, and gradually, the remaining food was eaten up. There was nothing left in the cave to fill its stomach.
The roars of wild beasts outside were terrifying. The young sub-dragon could only shiver in the empty nest. The sky gradually darkened. Hunger became increasingly unbearable. It gnawed on bare bones left from previous meals, but these bones only provided a little comfort, not real sustenance. Finally, the five-meter-long young sub-dragon gathered enough courage to crawl outside, hoping to find a heap of meat waiting for it..
The forest at night was exceptionally frightening, with lightning and thunder outside. Huge lightning bolts occasionally struck down from the sky. The young sub-dragon trembled, its eyes filled with fear as it watched the massive lightning.
Every rustle made it shiver with fright. It cautiously walked forward, every step taken with extreme care. It mimicked the hunting moves its mother had taught it, crawling forward step by step.
Tall shrubs suddenly rustled, and several green glows emerged from the grass. They saw the little sub-dragon, and greed gleamed in their green eyes.
A few rats surrounded the little sub-dragon. These rats were familiar; the powerful mother had hunted them before. Once, near the nest, dozens of rats appeared and surrounded the mother. However, those rats were no match for her; she tore them to pieces effortlessly. With a gentle sweep of her enormous tail, many rats were killed, and that meal ended up being rat meat. She didn’t like their meat at all—it was sour and bitter.
But now, hunger gnawed at the little sub-dragon’s belly, and it seemed there was no choice but to prey on these pesky creatures. Considering their small size, it should be easy to kill them.

However, these rats were incredibly agile. The little sub-dragon found that many of the moves learned from its mother were useless. What were mere annoyances to the mother were formidable adversaries for the little sub-dragon. Its wounds increased, and blood flowed steadily from its body. The annoying rats seized every opportunity to bite. The little sub-dragon felt it was nearing its limit, thinking it might die.
At this critical moment, a deity finally appeared. The deity had heard its call and manifested before it, saving the little sub-dragon.
The deity was immensely powerful, with gleaming purple-gold scales. Its huge body made it hard for the little sub-dragon to breathe.
Though the deity left, it would return. Guarding the deity’s nest was the little sub-dragon’s greatest honor. It licked its wounds and silently vowed to itself.
Suddenly, it felt the sky darken as if the sun overhead was obscured by something. It looked up.
Brandon's massive body descended from the sky. He didn’t bother acknowledging the little sub-dragon prostrating itself respectfully on the ground and hurried into the cave, too anxious to speak.
The little sub-dragon’s nest was enormous, a huge cavern widened by massive claw marks, spacious enough for a teleportation array. The floor was somewhat uneven, but with some tidying, it could be set up. Due to time constraints, Brandon had no choice but to place the teleportation array here.
The uneven ground posed no problem for the mighty dragon. Brandon cast several swamp spells, and the hard ground immediately softened, turning the rock into a muddy slurry. Bubbles surfaced as the magic took effect. Once the spell wore off, the ground began to harden again, becoming smooth as glass.
Brandon lay on the ground and started inscribing the teleportation array with his claws. Having done this before, he was more experienced and efficient this time. After a few hours, the large teleportation array was complete.
He carefully took out the energy crystal and placed it at the array’s energy core.
Then, using his sharp claws, he cut open an artery, causing a rush of blood to flow out. With no other great beasts around, Brandon had to use his own blood. The thick blood flowed from his body, following the paths of the magic array.
Due to his powerful regenerative abilities, Brandon had to injure himself multiple times. A significant amount of thick blood poured from his body, and he felt his strength slowly ebbing away. His body grew weaker, and dizziness overcame him. He could barely stand.
It was hard to tell how much time had passed, but suddenly the entire magic array emitted a blinding light. Intense waves of energy radiated from the array, far stronger than the last time.
Brandon stopped the bleeding and shakily stood up, feeling a wave of dizziness. His body was completely drained, and the weakness was overwhelming.
Brandon adjusted the frequency of the teleportation array to match that of Snake Valley.
A few giant beasts returned to Snake Valley, officially initiating the relocation. A massive yellow and black serpent climbed onto a large rock by the pond and let out a loud hiss. The entire forest echoed with rustling sounds, leaves shaking, and a foul wind blowing. All the snakes in Snake Valley, regardless of type, size, or venomous nature, began to converge rapidly toward the noise.
