Brandon was exhilarated, and it took him quite a while to calm down. As he examined the pearl again, his eyes glowed with golden light.
With these two energy crystals, he could now create a teleportation array.
According to his memories, teleportation arrays were generally categorized into planetary teleportation arrays, star system teleportation arrays, interstellar teleportation arrays, and dimensional teleportation arrays. Planetary teleportation arrays were the simplest, while the specifics of dimensional teleportation arrays were vague even in the divine memory. Brandon guessed that even the unfortunate deity didn’t fully understand them.
A planetary teleportation array, as the name implies, is limited to teleportation within a single planet. Though simple to divine beings, it was incredibly complex to Brandon.
Even with the dragon’s inheritance, giving him some understanding of magic arrays, the complexity of this array left him dizzy.
The inherited knowledge provided basic principles and rules of magic arrays. It was like knowing the rules of chess without necessarily being a skilled player.
To construct a teleportation array, at least two arrays were needed. Without a pair, teleportation wouldn’t work. During teleportation, the array emits certain waves to locate the other array. If it encounters an array with the same frequency, the two arrays resonate. Through resonance, they automatically activate and teleport.
Brandon planned to build one array in Snake Valley and another on the small island in the sea. This way, the creatures of Snake Valley would be much safer. As the saying goes, even a crafty rabbit has three burrows. How much more so for a wise dragon, Brandon thought.
Having made up his mind, Brandon began studying the planetary teleportation array in detail. The magic array appeared incredibly complex, and he couldn't understand the function of each line. The dense network of lines resembled an integrated circuit, making Brandon's head spin.
Fortunately, Brandon didn’t need to understand everything. As long as he grasped the general concept, he could replicate the array from his memory.
A few days later, Brandon emerged from the cave, his head swimming. Such intellectual work didn’t suit him. It felt like he had been living a nightmare. Initially, he found magic arrays fascinating and magical. But gradually, he became dizzy, and by the end, just looking at the complex lines made him nauseous.

Brandon sighed, realizing he lacked the talent to be a scholar. Even with a dragon’s brain, his intelligence hadn’t increased much. Simplicity and brute force were more his style. However, the past few days of study hadn’t been in vain. He had made some progress and understood the basics. Following the memory should prevent major problems.
Carving a teleportation array isn’t just drawing a few lines on the ground; it requires magic powder or blood rich in magic. Magic powder was out of the question for Brandon. Its primary ingredient was powdered energy crystals, and he only had two, both high-grade. He couldn’t afford to waste them.
Brandon had no shortage of magical blood. Both his own and that of the beasts were rich in magical energy. Given his size, donating a few tons of blood wouldn’t be a problem.
However, the teleportation array had to be hidden. If humans discovered and destroyed it, all the blood would be wasted. Brandon pondered this carefully.
With a roar, Brandon's metallic dragon cry echoed through the valley. In no time, several beasts came running.
Brandon wasn't alone anymore; the beasts, often idle, needed something to do. He assigned Skyler to handle logistics and prepare food while he led the beasts toward the nearby peak. This tall, snow-capped mountain stood out in the tropical rainforest. Though Brandon hadn't explored it much since moving to the Snake Valley, he sensed it wasn't ordinary. Today, however, was not for exploration.
Gradually, Brandon led the beasts over a small peak and down the slope. They moved quickly, reaching a canyon about ten kilometers from the Snake Valley in just a few minutes.
The canyon, around a hundred meters wide and six to seven hundred meters deep, stretched for kilometers. Brandon had discovered it while flying.
The steep, sparse canyon was damp and dark, with the wind creating a haunting howl. The ground was covered with loose, mossy rocks, and a few unknown soft-bodied worms crawled, leaving shiny trails. It was a perfect hidden base.
With Brandon’s command, the massive excavation began. His plan was to hollow out a mountain side of the canyon to create a base for the teleportation array, connecting it to the deep pool of Snake Valley. While he could dig out his valley, it was too close and risked human discovery. Brandon wouldn’t take such a risk for convenience.
The beasts dug from the canyon bottom, creating a tunnel towards the mountain. The terrain was mostly rock, making Goldie the best digger among the beasts. The five giant serpents, lacking claws, were ineffective with the hard rock and were relegated to transporting debris.
Goldie, like a giant excavator, effortlessly broke through the rock with its powerful claws. With its earth-level strength and robust body, the rock shattered like brittle cookies. The scene was chaotic, with dust and debris falling as the mountain trembled. After half a day, Brandon and Goldie had hollowed out a vast space inside the mountain.
The hollowed-out area formed a circular space, about two kilometers in diameter and fifteen meters high. It was spacious, and the ground was flattened as Brandon had requested. He felt very satisfied with the progress.
Just as Brandon was about to continue digging, he heard Skyler's call from outside. His face darkened as it seemed there was trouble back in the Snake Valley.
