Chapter 64 - Dragon's Treasure

After their king left, the five giant snakes and Kong seemed to be heavy in their hearts, and there was no previous zeal in each of them as they worked hard to cultivate. Their own survival was exchanged by their king’s, who had disappeared, yet they themselves were still living on.

But now they hadn't heard any news of Brandon's return. Having an ominous premonition, Kong and the giant snakes had gone outside to look for Brandon's traces several times, but did not find any traces.

One day, Kong and the giant snakes were fighting against each other. A huge punch issued a dull ringing sound, Kong was now close to the height of eight metres. His cultivation had now reached the third layer, with his body muscle expansion, punch after punch slammed the giant snake's tail. The giant snake was unable to resist the force of the attacks.

Since Kong consumed the blood orchid, his body seemed to have undergone a mutation. His strength had become even stronger, and his eyes began to glow red strangely, and he was very violent when he fought, so the single giant snake could not withstand it.

Not long after, the other giant snakes saw that Kong was too fierce, and the one fighting him began to be a bit unable to withstand it, so another giant snake also stepped in.

This was a battle of equal strength, the giant snake's tail whipping continuously. Kong was not afraid, his fist directly hit the snake's tail with a hard blow, emitting a loud bang.

Such a violent battle was already a routine for them. The five snake generals had already cultivated their qi to the second layer, their strength and defence had become even stronger, and the protrusions on their heads were slowly getting bigger, as if there was something inside that was about to break out of their bodies.

The other three giant snakes, their huge bodies coiled up in a ball, like a pile of meat mountains, surrounded the three directions of the battlefield. There were only three giant heads, raised high, like a few stone pillars erected in the sky. Ordinary humans would definitely faint in fear if they were to see this scene.

At this time, a bucket-thick emerald green python swam over, its head lying tightly on the ground. A hissing sound was made to the snake general with a pitch-black body that was watching the battle next to it. "Fourth Chief, the snake minions have reported that there are suddenly many more creatures walking on two feet in the jungle, and many of our minions are dead. What do we do? Please show us."

At this time the fighting suddenly stopped. The emerald skinned snake minion, which was the thickness of a bucket, had its head pressed even lower and its body began to tremble. The aura of these chieftains was simply too strong. Moreover, ever since the Great King left, the six chiefs exuded a murderous aura, and every time it came over to speak, it trembled with fear.

The pitch-black snake chief discussed with the other chiefs, and a cold light suddenly emanated from its icy eyes. As if Kong had understood, he couldn't stop slamming his fist against his chest, making a loud noise.

The black snake general turned back to the emerald green python and hissed, "Inform the little ones to kill all creatures that walk on two legs when they come across them."

King Kong let out a huge roar to the sky.

In the jungle, a group of mercenaries were slowly moving forward. "You said they had spotted the dragon here. Are you sure it was this area?" A white man who looked as strong as a bear said to his companion.

"You can see many mercenaries are approaching here, the information must be real." A strong black man said.

"If we can find it, we'll be rich, and we don't need to do this life-threatening business for the rest of our lives." A white man with a full beard said.

"Everyone keep your voices down, I'm noticing that this place isn't quite normal, there's no sound at all, it seems very dangerous. Everyone get your weapons ready." A tall white man whispered.

"Yes, Captain." A sound of opening the safety bolt of the firearms was heard. The team continued to advance.

"Damn, why are there so many snakes here? Hausen, count how many we've killed."

"Geez! How can we count this, there are dozens of them on every step, but atleast we'll have snake meat to eat at night. It tastes quite like chicken." A man named Hausen said.

"Everyone, be careful, I have an ominous feeling." A strong black man said.

"Bart, you say you have these predictions on every mission. Which time has it truly happened? I don't know about you, but after going back, I'm going straight to the red light district to have fun. It's really too expensive but worth it." The bear-like man said.

"But this time we'll be rich if we go back. They say the lair of a dragon contains treasure. If not gold then even the shedded skin would sell for a very high price in the black market. Think of all the excitement in your heart ah ...... ah!" Before that man could finish his words, he suddenly let out a miserable scream.

A giant snake dangling down from the tree instantly bit his head tightly. Venom was instantly injected into his body, this giant snake was as thick as a calf, mixed brownish-black in colour, and its huge body hung down under the tree as if it were a withered branch. It was simply hard to spot.

It was only then that the other people reacted, their guns rang out all of a sudden. The bullets rained, densely injected into the giant snake's body, the giant snake twisted a few times, and then it didn't move, the whole body had been wounded.

A few of them went over and pulled the man away from the giant snake's head. The man's face was black and purple and he was foaming at the mouth. It was obvious that he was hopeless, he was pumping roughly and after a few minutes he breathed his last. They disposed of the body of their teammate, and the rest of the team continued to move forward.

For mercenaries, death was already a common occurrence, for the death of their teammates, although their hearts were saddened, but everyone in the line of work was prepared to die at any time. But the team suddenly became much more silent. Soon they realised that the further forward they went, the more snakes appeared.

The teammates began to die one after another. And since they were close to the area, they realised that there were a lot of people from other mercenaries who were approaching this way.

Everyone's faces were very ugly, and it seemed that the other mercenary groups weren't doing much better. Panic had begun to set in in their hearts, the continuous deaths had caused them to think of retreating. They were only a small mercenary group numbering only a dozen people.

But in just half an hour, five of them had already died, they couldn't afford to lose any more, God knows how many more viper pythons were ahead of them.

In the end, the captain decided to withdraw from the mission, the difficulty of the mission was beyond their capacity. The other strong mercenary groups obviously didn't want to give up and continued to search forward.
