Chapter 68: The Avid Aragon

Brandon found a suitable log and skewered the whole crocodile. Its meat was roasted continuously over the fire, and he turned the log from time to time in order to even the heat.

Not long after, the tantalising aroma suddenly wafted out, and an hour later, the crocodile was finally grilled. Brandon praised himself for the improvement in his grilling skills as the crocodile was charred in colour and coated in grease.

Skyler finally came back, flapped her wings and flew into the cave. She didn't catch any prey, her feathers were dishevelled, she looked terrified, and her body was still a little bloody. She had suffered a little loss.

Brandon took a closer look at her, but fortunately, she didn't suffer any serious injuries, which reassured him a little bit. He inquired about what was going on with Skyler.

It turned out that after she had gone out, she searched for prey, only to find that all the creatures here were huge, and Skyler couldn't deal with them at all. So she looked for a huge branch to rest. She did not expect that branch was actually the limb of a camouflaging creature. Skyler was almost swallowed by it, but with her careful, agile reaction, immediately flew into the air, avoiding a disaster.

Brandon listened to Skyler's description in her fearful voice. In his heart, he secretly raised his vigilance. He comforted Skyler for a moment and then tore a huge hind leg and put it in front of Skyler.

An hour later, the huge crocodile was swallowed by Brandon's huge mouth, leaving only a pile of white bones in front of his body. Brandon patted his belly, burped, and exhaled a thick sulphur flavoured smoke from his mouth.

Brandon felt his body warming up, and the dragon qi and internal qi in his body operated faster. This made Brandon very surprised that the giant crocodile's body actually contained a large amount of qi. After eating it, he was instantly heated and the qi in his body was rushing.

Brandon couldn't think of anything else and hurriedly closed his eyes to regulate his breathing. The crocodile meat that Brandon had eaten was too much, accounting for almost 70% of his body weight.

The qi in the crocodile's body slowly began to emanate within Brandon's body. The enormous energy continuously rose from the stomach and was then absorbed by the internal qi and dragon qi. The internal force and dragon qi grew rapidly.

Two hours later, Brandon opened his eyes, the joy in his eyes couldn't be concealed. He didn't expect that after only eating a crocodile, his cultivation was vaguely on the verge of breaking through. If he hadn't just eaten his fill, Brandon would have wanted to go out and hunt another one right away.

This island's heaven and earth energy was much more abundant than other places. Although the creatures growing here don't know any cultivation methods, but they have been living here for a long time, their bodies naturally carry qi. These energies are hidden inside the flesh, and those carnivores constantly increase their strength by hunting each other.

The crocodile was a fierce predator on the island, and its body had grown so huge. It must've eaten many creatures throughout its lifetime. The energy accumulated in its body was naturally quite considerable.

Brandon slowly stood up and noticed that Skyler's eyes were slightly narrowed, looking like she was also digesting this energy. Without startling Skyler, he gently walked past her and headed out of the cave.

It was now nearing evening. Brandon saw Aragon limping and running quickly from the distance. It was covered in bloodstains and looked terrified. It looked as if something was chasing it from behind.

On this crisis-ridden island, a young dragon like this would have a hard time surviving on its own. But Brandon couldn't afford to die again, after all, he was living his second life.

He looked into the distance and saw smoke and dust up ahead, as if some creature was running this way. Not long after, Brandon's keen eyes saw a seven or eight metre long beast frantically charging towards Aragon. It had two curved horns on its head, blood red eyes, four hooves with long fiery red hair, and the whole thing looked like a bull.

This giant bull looked very annoyed, its nostrils constantly spraying white gas, four hooves flying. On the neck of the giant cow, there was a blood mark, blood flowed out from the wound vaguely. It looked like Aragon wanted to hunt the giant bull, but failed to do so and was instead chased by the giant bull.

Brandon ran headlong towards Aragon.

Aragon saw Brandon coming and rushed to the ground, and forgot about the giant bull chasing after it.

Brandon ignored him and ran past him.

The bull didn't care what was in front of it, it just ran like crazy, its nostrils huffed and puffed. Its heart was furious.

But suddenly its own body was heavy, its four legs involuntarily bent, under the huge speed, its body lost control and fell heavily towards the front.

The giant bull's body made a loud noise and rolled three times before coming to a stop. But it immediately saw a fiery red fireball rapidly spinning and flying towards it. It couldn't help but have its pupils contract, with a look of fear in its eyes.

The large fireball ruthlessly struck its body, producing a huge explosion, and the giant bull was immediately blown to the ground, with a huge wound that caused blood to rapidly gush out. It let out a mooing sound of pain, but then a fiery red spear made it close its eyes completely.

After finishing off the giant bull, Brandon turned his massive body and crawled towards the cave. The little Aragon was still lying tightly on the ground. He didn't move a muscle. Brandon sighed slightly and crawled past it.

It would be better to find a cave by himself tomorrow. Living in someone else's home would always feel uncomfortable. And being respected so much by the owner-it was too much to bear. I really miss Snake Valley.

Only after Brandon walked away did Aragon stood up and looked at Brandon, who was walking away. With awe in his heart, a fervent light appeared in its eyes. After a while, it came back to its senses and limped on its legs towards its prey.

Although the sub-dragon was still small, the strong strength of the dragon bloodline, even as a young dragon, possessed very powerful strength. It bit the entire giant bull, its limbs slowly backing up, and step by step, it dragged the giant bull, which was much larger than its own body, to the mouth of its cave.

This was where it lived now, inside the cave that had been given to his honourable god to live in. As a servant of the god, it was an honour in itself to live next to the god itself.
