Chapter 52: The Bottom of the Sea

Suddenly Brandon heard a sharp whistling sound, he looked back. Five huge missiles were flying towards him. The missiles were getting closer and closer, and at the moment of crisis, Brandon flapped his wings vigorously, increasing his speed once again.

His flight path wasn't straight, but rather, it was up and down, left and right.

Brandon's flying skills had been improved a lot since the first time he took flight. Brandon was able to avoid most of the missiles with his flexible manoeuvring. However, the last missile was only five hundred metres away, this distance to the missile was instantaneous. No matter how fast he could fly, it was useless.

Gradually the distance between the missile and Brandon was getting closer and closer. With his keen sense of hearing, he could even hear the sound of flames burning at the end of the missile. He realised that his wings were getting tired and his speed had begun to slow down.

At the critical point he suddenly stopped. At this rate I will not be able to outrun the missile.

He added an earth shield to himself. After that, a huge earth spear quickly condensed in the void, emitting a metallic lustre in the sunlight. The earth spear struck the missile in the nick of time.

A huge ball of flame erupted in the sky.

The shockwave generated by the missile's explosion directly sent Brandon flying. The shield had shattered, and a mouthful of precious dragon blood was involuntarily spat out. He had suffered internal injuries.

Before Brandon could catch his breath, seven more missiles flew from the sky. Seeing this scene, he couldn't help but spit out another mouthful of blood. It looks like they won't stop any sooner.

The earth spears flew towards the missiles one after another, the huge shock waves directly sent Brandon flying several kilometres away. The last one was hit by Brandon at a distance of about 10 metres, and the violent explosion in his face caused his mind to go blank.

He could no longer control his body, and fell towards the ground. In his last moment of consciousness he saw a green shadow flying towards him. Without realising it, he flew over the shoreline, his heavy body falling faster and faster.

There was a loud bang and a huge wave that lifted up a dozen metres in the air. But after that wave had passed, Brandon had disappeared. There was only a green coloured shadow constantly hovering in the air above, letting out gusts of wailing.

On a huge recliner at the command headquarters, a middle-aged man wearing a general's uniform was frowning. Suddenly, a soldier walked in with a serious expression and said, "General, we launched twelve missiles, and according to the location of the explosions, it was in the vicinity of coordinates -4448, 328. But according to the searches conducted by the forces, it has been lost."

"Continue with the search, make sure to find Project D’s body. It's very important to us. Also track the activity of other animals in that area. Also go and ask what the attitude of England and France is. Over and out." The general said to him as he waved his hand.

Brandon slowly increased his heavy eyelids, he realised that he was actually at the bottom of the sea. He felt that there was actually not the slightest bit of discomfort under the water. The oxygen in the water, through the scale armour, was constantly transmitted into Brandon's body. It felt as casual as if he was in the air.

Countless colourful aquatic creatures couldn't stop circling around, but they didn't dare to get close, just pecking at the dragon's blood that flowed out of his wounds from time to time.

Brandon slightly moved his huge body, and the silt on him gradually shook off, revealing mottled scales. The fish fled in all directions. He realised that much of his scale armour had fallen off, revealing bloody wounds, and the injured parts were slowly healing themselves. Countless flesh teeth grew interlaced on his body.

The tremendous killing power of the missile caused Brandon to suffer serious internal injuries. He looked internally and found that many of his meridians had been damaged and were slowly being repaired. His internal qi and spirit qi had been lowered to the lowest point, and the huge amount of energy had already been used to repair his body.

He now needed to eat, eat a lot. Self-healing ability had a limit. It needed a lot of energy, both from food and from cultivation. At this time a shark that was seven or eight metres long smelled the blood and swam from a distance. I did not expect that by just wanting food, the food would actually come to my door automatically.

Brandon slowly laid on the ground, pretending to be dying. But his huge body gave the shark a sense of oppression, so that it did not dare to move closer to him. But the tantalising smell of blood constantly stimulated the shark, intuitively feeling that this creature's flesh and blood would be of great benefit to it if it ate it. It was also afraid that if it delayed any longer, some of its own kind, or some other ferocious animal would come over to get a piece of it.

It couldn't hold back any longer, and with a flick of its huge tail, revealing its gruesome teeth and a fierce light in its eyes, it lunged towards Brandon.

The delicious food was right there in front of the shark, and the shark's eyes unconsciously showed excitement, illuminating cruel light.

Suddenly it felt a weight on his body, its speed stagnated. Before the shark could react, a huge earth spear pierced into its mouth at once, the newly dead predator just kept its sprinting posture and swam slowly towards Brandon.

After a while, a pile of huge white bones was placed in front of Brandon. He used his claws to pat his full stomach, and found that the food inside his stomach was rapidly digested.

Soon, Brandon felt his body getting warmer, and his skin began to itch, but it disappeared again not long after. It seems that the energy is still not enough, I need to eat a lot.

The shark's blood stimulated waves of undersea carnivorous creatures. Brandon had gradually piled up a small mountain of their bones. His body quickly self-healed, the flesh visible to the naked eye closed itself with rapid growth. In the blink of an eye Brandon's body had recovered most of the injuries.

The smell of blood was getting thicker and thicker, almost the entire surface of the sea was dyed red. The entire sea became silent, Brandon smelled a dangerous aura approaching from afar.
