Chapter 26 - Kingdom Cleanup

*BANG*

The sounds of wood splintering and building falling echo in the distance of what use to be the Beast Kingdom.

"Hey Brock do you know how long this will take? And do you need anything else?"

"No the extra marble from the Palace and the walls should be more then enough! We should be done within a week."

Admin didn't want me to take Brock and three dwarves from the Space Kingdom, I guess they were working on a surprise for me... But that can wait, after insisting this is the top priority Admin gave in and handed me Brock.

I never really saw him act like that, but I know he is doing it out of respect for me. Brock wont tell me what they were working on inside, I guess he also holds the project dear to him...

"Are you sure you want to do this lad? Wont this put your kingdom in danger?"

"I understand your worries, but fear not for anyone who tries anything inside the Space Kingdom will be simply kicked to the void of space"

*Gulp*

"Y-you were serious about that... I feel sorry for any poor bloke who dares defy you..."

"Haha, me as well. Now let's continue please"

In the center of the town laid nothing but foundations of the future. The giant marble walls and palace that laid here upon its poverty stricken Kingdom are no more, for now there is nothing but a Giant marble platform with three marble steps on all sides.

Knowing the risk, I scratched the surface layer of the steps to add texture, this way no citizens will slip on it during rainy days.

Upon the platform is four large gates in each of the corners, and in the center is a huge marble gate with intricate designs being carved into them currently!

I plan to have the central gate be linked to the Space Kingdom, and each of the four be connected to the other Kingdoms of Gaia after I make contact with them. I did not add one for the Demon Empire, as they possess the ability to teleport already. A gate for them would be pointless, as they will be able to come here directly if they wished to do so. That is why so many Humans and other races fear them, but the last hundred years they have not made any appearances.

I tend to keep my word, so for the Goddess's sake I will unite the world of Gaia. Even if I have to do it with a ruling hand, absolute power and dominance that no one will defy. I just hope it won't come to that in the future, but if it does I will not complain.

Currently I am slowly funneling my space attribute into the main central gate, this will link it to the Space Kingdom and the dwarves may travel between them easily as they rest and continue their work on Gaia.

"Almost there lad, we just need to add a few more runes. This will ensure the spell does not dissipate, and will stay strong for the years to come."

Although I figured it was possible, I never thought a spell could last for years. But the dwarves are truly masters of their craft, as they etch runes onto the pillars. These runes gather the mana surrounding them, continuously powering the spell linked to the object.

I would of never thought to do something so grand, as I currently am my gates can only last up to ten days before I have to go back and cast them. Speaking of that, I need to visit my home in Gaia soon or I will lose the ability to teleport there... Sorry Mom, sorry Dad I promise I will not let that happen.

"Say Brock?"

"Yes lad?"

"Can you teach me how to do this?"

"You already can since you have Precision, all you need is to level an attribute to imbue your mana which you are already doing..."

"No I mean the runes, to keep the spell going for years on end."

"Oh that is simple enough, come visit me sometimes in the Space Kingdom. There I will have more time to teach you my apprentice."

"Thanks... I will make sure to do so, I have just been busy lately. Sorry for not checking in as often."

"Are you joking lad? It has been months in your Kingdom, but only a few days here and you already claimed another Kingdom to follow you."

I just scratch the back of my head in embarrassment, trying to stop the praises. To me this is only necessary for my goals in the future.

"Well thanks for being understanding anyways..."

"No problem lad"

Silence fills the air as we put our focus back to the task at hand, getting the gate completed.

After around ten minutes pass the final rune was transcribed and turned a deep purple as my mana imbued it.

"Domain"

The symbols all shined brightly as heeding my command, the gate opened up a portal that gave off a certain pressure of dominance. As it made all the surrounding mana bend to its will, truly a magnificent sight to see.

"Amazing..."

"I haven't seen mana this rich in dominant before... You are truly a monster lad."

Me, Brock and the three dwarves just stare at the gate in awe for a minute before Brock broke the Ice.

"Okay enough staring, we need to choose the location and do the same inside the Kingdom. You need to link the gates together to set the destination points."

"Understood, let's not waste any time."

I turn to look at the dust in the distance of the crumbling town, not forgetting my comrades but also not wanting to step on their fun I opt to not say anything.

We walk through the portal, I set the location currently to the statue my people built of me. I accept the sentiment, but the main problem is the statue is exactly where I wished to place the gate...

"Brock how do I say this?"

"Don't say it at all, I also agree with your sentiment."

Without saying another word the three dwarves start dismantling the statue, my citizens look in horror as their work is being disgraced.

"Speaker"

Black dots fill the sky, waiting for my voice to penetrate them.

"Sorry everyone, I am honored everyone wishes to keep the statue. But the location is in a spot that I intend to place a gate to further the development of our Kingdom. If you so wish you may make a statue on the sides of the gate, I promise on my name I will not tear it down."

The sad citizens soon perked back up, they did not care if the statue was removed. They just cared that a statue was present, for everyone to see their great King and savior.

"Hey Admin, my plans of a gate will come to fruition in the next two hours. Please remember the consequences of rule breakers, I can not allow any leniency for people who wish our land harm."

*You do not have to remind me master, if anything your punishment is too lenient for my liking*

"I'm glad you feel that way... So where is this surprise at?"

*It is a secret master, in terms of days on Gaia it should be done in 10 days.*

"I will look forward to it Admin, please surprise me well"

As I was about to go back to the gate someone grabs my leg from behind

"King! King! Thwank you soo mwuch"

A small girl was holding my leg with tears in her eyes and snot running out of her nose. Behind her I can see Brock smiling, it was then I realized he set me up...

"Hey Lizzy! I take it you have been doing well?"

It felt like just yesterday I dropped her off here, but for her it has already been ten days. Sometimes I forget about the time difference myself, everything seems to move so efficiently here.

As to not overwhelm the citizens by aging them drastically, I decided to set their aging to Gaia standards upon their 18th birthday. I will not force someone to be a child 10 times as long, that would be torture for teenagers...

"YES! You are amazing..."

She pushed her head deep into my pant leg before swinging her head side to side, wiping all the tears and snot onto my leg... Although I'm grossed out I hold my tongue, I can see how important this is too her. For a child who lost both her parents, and was forced to live on the streets this is the least I can do as her King.

I pat her head allowing her to get it all out of her system, after two minutes of crying she looks up to me smiling. I never saw this look so bright on her face! I will protect you little one!

"Lizzy, King Onyx has some work to do. I'm sure he will visit you at our home later."

"Y-yes papa!"

"Oh papa huh? I take it you adopted her Brock?"

Brocks face turns red as he breaks eye contact with me

"I just did my duties... I couldn't deny this big puppy eyes of hers."

"You are a sucker Brock, but I'm happy. I already knew this outcome would happen when I put her in your possession."

"You are a sly King... Thank you Onyx"

Waving it off I just smile at the two, Lizzy finally lets go of my pant let before running into the town. Now that I take a look around, there is a bunch of children running around and mothers holding babies as they shop. This is the start of a true Kingdom, the population will only go up even if I do not interfere anymore.

Then something caught me off guard, I saw a large bear man holding hands with slender elf woman? I didn't know other races were attracted to each other, but I am not one to judge. I just smile, and think of what their future offspring will look like.

"Phew"

"That one was tough"

"I think my nail broke... This is a tragedy..."

The girls are standing above a broken citadel, although they felt they were going to be smited by the Goddess no such thing happened. This building was actually built pretty sturdy and took them most of the day to demolish, slowly stunting their progress.

*Stomach grumbles*

The girls look at each other in embarrassment as they all neglected eating today.

"Onyx!"

"MASTER FEED ME"

"KING!"

The girls are yelling as they enter the plaza where the large gate is standing, Onyx is no where to be found but Sophy and Abby know that gate anywhere. Grabbing Reyna they run through the portal leading to the town square of the Space Kingdom, upon entry Reyna could do nothing but stop and stare in astonishment.

This is the first time she has actually been inside the Kingdom, a dominant voice has entered her head reading her rules. She just gulps as she is taken off guard, a Kingdom in the stars, a giant voice entering my head, and a city full of dwarves, elves and beast-kin....

"Amazing!" She let out under her breath.

Upon accepting the rules she quickly makes her way back to the girls who are patiently waiting as they see Onyx focused on imbuing the gate with magic.

"So that's what he was up to"

"He always amazes me, master is truly special."

"I've never seen anything like this? A spell imbued to a large gate?"

As if not skipping a heart bear a loud deep voice roared behind them taking them all off guard.

"DAUGHTER!"

The giant man known as Tiberius yelled, he quickly picked up Reyna and embraced her. He did not know how much he truly missed her until ten days has passed with no word from her.

"This place is amazing..."

Again even after her fathers shock, it did not come close to the kingdom before her eyes.

"I was also taken aback, but the new King has truly kept his promise. Everyone here works together, lives together, eats together... There truly is no sense of racism between the people here, I am glad to call myself a citizen."

Upon hearing those words Reyna's eyes fill with tears, she looks back at Onyx who is hard at work.

"Thank you my King!"

"Now Reyna" Tiberius said while nudging her arm, he bends down towards her ears while whispering "Did you win his heart yet?"

"W-WHAT!"

Reyna instantly flushes looking back and forth between her father and Onyx. Me win the kings heart? NO? HOW?

"Do not sell yourself short daughter, you are a princess and a beautiful one at that. I'm sure he will fall for you, just give it time."

Upon admitting defeat all she could do was let out a deep sigh.

"Thank you father..."

A few days have passed since the initial construction, the gates linking the two worlds have been successfully made and linked on both sides. Now all that is left is to start building the kingdom from the inside out.

Today they finished demolition of the inner ring of the Kingdom, I told them do not worry about the outer ring as of yet. If people come to the Kingdom, I do not want them to be shocked and think the whole kingdom was sieged or destroyed by monsters. We will take our time and make this truly a Kingdom everyone will revere, but it will still pale in comparison to what lies beyond that gate.

Everyone of this world will soon know of the Space Kingdom, and be forced to respect us as our own Kingdom.

"My King"

The two guards bow at me as I exit the portal, I stationed them here to monitor who enters and exits the kingdoms. So far there has been neither on either side, I figured my citizens would wish to return to Gaia and explore but none shown any desire to do so.

While this is something I did not expect, I can't lie and say I'm not happy to hear it. This just shows me they are actually happy with the Kingdom, and not just saying that because they are locked inside.

"Carry on! You two are doing a good job so far, you may enter the portal and get situated inside. I will remain here and contemplate on the future, do not make we wait forever though"

"Thank you my King"

"Thank you, your Majesty!"

The two bow to me and quickly enter the portal before I had time to change my mind, although this is their first time entering they couldn't help but let their mind wander to what lies beyond.

I walk over to the stairs and survey my surroundings, thinking about layouts and designs I wish to uphold for the Kingdom. I originally intend this to be a trade hub, brining in large riches for the Kingdom. So how can I make that a reality, well I need to make it caravan accessible which the previous city was not due to it's tight roads.

Understanding this I draw out a design in the sand resembling a + shape with the gate in the middle. Those will be the main roads leading to the center, the areas in between will be shops and production buildings. Those who wish to live in Gaia and not the Space Kingdom will be allowed to do so in the outer ring, after I demolish everything I will build apartment complex's to save space in the kingdom. This will allow more people to live in one area, but also provide them the comfort of their own home.

As this world does not have plumbing, I will need to work with Brock on solving that issue. If I could find a monster that has water affinity that would make this allot easier as I can imbue my own plumbing system.

Upon that realization I decide I need to go back home, no actual home the Quill estate. I need to talk to the adventurers guild and see if they know any monster that fits my description.

After an hour has passed the portal glows and the two guards along with Tiberius exit.

"Hello King"

"We are back your Majesty!"

"It is truly amazing in there my King"

I understand why the guards are here but why Tiberius?

"Tiberius did you need something?"

"These two ranted about how they destroyed the Kingdom, I had to come and look for myself."

Upon the empty fields in front of him he can hardly believe this the Beast Kingdom, if not for the internal walls in the distance he would call this a bluff.

"Wow you are crazy my King"

"It is necessary, I have big plans Tiberius one of them I must tend to now"

I stand up facing the three of them and smiling.

"I need to go back home to the quill estate for the day, please look over the kingdom here in Gaia."

"Yes, your majesty"

"Leave it to us my King"

"I will join them, I love the Space Kingdom but I miss the sunlight as well"

Upon hearing his complaint I quickly realized I forgot about sunlight in my Kingdom... But how would I go about adding a sun? Is that even possible?

"I will look into the issue regarding the sun, it may not be easy but I will find a way. Until then you are in charge of these two"

"I understand my King, and I do not hold any resentment for lack of sunlight. You would have to be a GOD of some kind to magically make a sun."

"Haha... I will be off now"
