Darren was choosing his outfit. He was looking for more explosions. Racing had been fun, but he had had his taste for the moment. Space exploration might be a good choice, but not yet. It’s too much like racing, being in a cockpit and flying everywhere.
He decided to go for what people like, Magic.
Ganondore - Level Max - Mage
Time to test out his spells.
He suited up, and disappeared, turning on the spot and arriving at a little village in the middle of the city.
It looked like the coloring department had gone wild… or designed everything with their eyes closed. Every building was a different bright or neon color.
But he looked around, entering a few of the various shops to see what they had.
Most places you could buy skills and spells, all of the Elemental type of magic.
He checked his skills page to make sure that he was equipped with all of these, which of course he was. He auto assigned any and all magical skills and spells that were made in the whole game to Ganondore.
He check out the MMA Gymnasium, finding that there was quite a good interface for creating your own skills and learning how to actually use Elemental Magic smartly.
He walked through the Robery just to have a laugh at the extraordinary prices of robes that did hardly anything to a player’s stats. He left with a, “Keep up the good work!” to the NPC working there.
GEM was also a laugh, no legendary items, just a whole lot of toys and gimmicks to get players to buy worthless junk. Perfect. Again, “Keep up the good work!” he said as he left. But the NPC working there wouldn’t have him coming through just “for a look” and not buying anything.
The NPC stopped him at the door. “If you’re looking for anything really good…” he looked back and forth to make sure his shop was empty, “I’ve got a few items that may spark your interest.”
“Go ahead,” Ganondore said politely.
The shopkeeper continued to bring Ganondore around to the back to show a few legendary items. They were alright, still hardly anything to compare to his skills.
“Keep up the good work!” Ganondore said, patting him on the back, and leaving.
The NPC shopkeeper started having doubts and wondered if he should write to management about stocking better items, or lowing prices.
Ganondore walked out and heard some fighting down at the other end of the street. Good old magical battles. Plenty of colorful and sizzling explosions… check.
Oh, and high prices, check. Spells for sale, check. Circular fees for players who want magic but have to fight for gold… but don’t have spells… check. Players doing dishes and sweeping floors for gold, check.

He looked around to see what else he could check off. But more explosions pulled him off and into the stadium.
A tournament was going on. Wow! Magic battles… and they fight to the death? I mean default. Perfect.
Alright, how to enter?
After watching a quick battle between a couple of noob Mages, he went around to register. Oh great! A high level Mage’s tournament. Be my guest…
Of course he came up as first in the line up, and only had to wait until noon to battle. That wouldn’t be hard, he’ll enjoy watching the current fight and seeing tactics. Something he doesn’t need when he has any and every skill imaginable.
Honestly the fight was kind of boring, so he preoccupied himself with sorting through his favorite skills and making sure that he wouldn’t have to scroll through fifty worthless ones before finding a good one mid battle.
With that out of the way, he made sure he looked good and went for the sign in, waiting for the actual battle to begin.
Eight contestants, one winner. The rest… default. Easy! He hardly has to do anything, but he’ll cast a few spells just to make it look like he tried. He was kinda thinking about a one hit kill sort of battle… but he was here to work, not have fun. So he’d have to at least try and make it look like work.
His first battle in the tournament came and went. And try as he might, the battle was over in less than a minute. He even took a Fire Blast straight to the chest, but then got angry and showed him a real Fire Blast, sending the mage skyward and charred.
The second battle went just as well, but he deflected the Water Blast straight back, knocking him out, but not defaulted yet.
Ganondore waited for the effect to wear off before allowing him to try again. He simply dodged the next attack and flooded the stage. The player was literally swimming.
Ganondore had to levitate to keep himself safe, and he cast a storm of lightning bolts across the battlefield. He was proud with himself, using MMA without even having gone to school.
After that attack, it was over, with another KO in under a minute.
The third battle was a bit more interesting, what to expect in the final battle of a Mage’s tournament.
This time, no blast came, and the little ninja-like Mage waited for him to attack.
No problem. He cast a Lightning Bolt at her… she deflected it and sent it straight back.
Of course the Lightning was too fast for him to dodge, but he suffered… nothing at all.
The Mage was waiting again for an attack. Alright, here’s a good one for you… Fire consumed her… no damage? Fine, fire resistance is a thing.
This one worked last time. Ganondore flooded the stage again, levitated and cast a few Lightning Bolts.
But she was still swimming! And she managed to swirl the water around and make a tsunami that nearly overtook him. He didn’t let it happen though, causing the water to simply disappear before it touched him. He couldn’t let his own attacks be used against him.
But now the little Mage was conjuring something.
He waited to see what it was… a huge bear… alright. Well, he can match that…
He looked through his skills of creature, monsters, and demons to summon. Oh, the perfect one.
He waved his arms around like he was calling upon the forces of God… very unnecessary.
A bright yellow translucent dragon appeared. “Finish her off!” He yelled.
The dragon was almost the size of the stadium bleachers. It’s ethereal form made it beautiful, shining, like made of living glass. It was truly magical if anyone who saw it lived to tell the tale.
The magic dragon jumped up and flew in a wide circle around the stadium. It gave a ground shaking roar and came down in a fell swoop to blast fire…
But the blast wasn’t just a jet of fire, it was hellfire, apocalyptic!
The fire consumed the battle field… the whole stadium!
Everything was on fire.
After a few seconds, and a bit more, waiting for the fire and resultant smoke to dissipate, he watched again, not quite as good as his previous final explosion, but it sufficed.
The stadium was a burnt black wreck, still on fire. No players were to be seen on the stands. And best of all… he was the winner!
