Day 9 Default 5
She woke up the same time Else had been getting out of her coffin. Apparently, Else had let her sleep for the next twenty four hours. “Ready for the big night?” She said, her strict sergeant tone gone.
“What’s next?”
“You’ll see.” Else gave a nice smile. “Follow me.”
KillPrinsX was famished. She followed, but summoned up a piece of poisoned meat from her inventory, chewing on it as they walked outside and stopped at the well in the middle of the village.
Else was still smiling. She nodded towards the well. “Go on, nothing to be scared of.”
KillPrinsX was obviously becoming apprehensive. Her mentor now telling her to climb down a well.
Else came by to help. Grabbing KillPrinsX by the shoulders and helping her get above the well… it was a bit physical.
KillPrinsX gave up her struggle and did it herself. Feet first, she found there was a ladder, and she climbed down.
She got to the bottom and stepped down into a few inches of mud. She had the thought that she’d be ruining her shoes. But what the hell, she’s in a game.
A few seconds later Charlotte came scuttling down the walls, giving KillPrinsX a little wink, but maybe it was the light.
She walked forward, her night vision working just enough to let her see that she was heading down a long and empty tunnel.
A few minutes passed by, she came to the end.
Large and ornate steel doors faced her.
They seemed to be the brightest thing down here. The metal somehow reflecting light when there wasn’t any. But the picture in relief was something to look at. It was a picture of a tall man holding his arms out. He had fangs and slicked back hair, fingernails that were sharpened to a point, and a cape that flew back in the wind, showing his full slender build. Beneath him, humans bowed and sat on their knees. Behind him stood an army of figures similar to himself, standing and watching the episode.
KillPrinsX knew this was it.
She trembled with excitement.
She put her hand up and pushed the door forwards. It gave after a second and it’s hinges moaned as if it hadn’t been opened in a hundred years.
Inside was pitch black, but she could see red lights of rubies and gold. She walked forwards, not expecting anything that may happen. A fight? Or a welcoming?
“Charlotte, do you see anything?”
“Yeah… it’s beautiful, lots of gold…”
She had stepped hardly three paces in when a real light appeared. Two red dots flashed in the back of the room. Two red dots… a set of eyes? They were obviously locked on her, and she froze.
A deep voice, accompanied by a flurry of wind, sounded from those set of eyes. “I’ve been waiting for you.”
She jumped, but stood still, confronting whoever this may be.
“Come KillPrinsX. Your name has been in my book for many years. I was wondering when you’d find me… or was it I, that found you?”
“The skill? Bloodsucker? You sent Else to me?”
“Yesss. That’s it, you smart girl. It was only a matter of time. But what’s a few hundred years for someone immortal.”
KillPrinsX answered feebly, “Nothing.”
“And what’s so special about you? I know. I’ve been waiting for the stars to turn in my favor. Finally, and at last! My darling secret little weapon you… You have something that the others don’t.”
“Me?”
“Yes. You. You will turn the tides in the war against humanity. A war for their own good. Yes, there will be slaves, but those who can will ascend the ranks and become better, but only those who deserve it. And those who shouldn’t, who deserve to die and pay for their sins, they will become our slaves, to work, to feed. There will be a dominant species, and for their own good some will become one of us. They will learn what it’s like to live with powers, rule cities and command armies. And you, my darling secret little weapon. You will be the first, the greatest. You will rule the rulers and have powers that will rival only my own.”
KillPrinsX was shivering. So much power? She will be the one to rule them all. It sounds all so enticing. But there isn’t a choice… even if she wanted one… She bowed.
“Come here…” The Vampire lord declared.
KillPrinsX stepped forward, head held high, shoulders squared.
The Vampire lord came down from his throne and held his arms out wide. “Come here.”
She walked into his arm’s embrace. His head went down to her ear. She could feel his cold breath on her neck, then a prick, a squeeze of skin between teeth… and she was out cold.
You have been bitten by the Vampire Lord Lucretius.

KillPrinsX had to look through the specials once more. They were all so enticing.
She could do with a pair of wings, being able to fly around. But it doesn’t seem necessary. She didn’t know what this game might bring her in the way of trouble. Fighting is one thing, but by the looks of it, setting up the fight before it happens seems to be the strategy that’s being hinted at here. That and Buffs.
She went through one more time and finally decide to play to her own advantage, and which might come in handy fighting off her first weakness. She chose Mist.
You have learned the skill Summon Mist!
When things are a bit too bright and shiny and that dark and foreboding omen just won’t appear… well, the bell tolls for thee. Summons the mist, darken thy clouds, something bad might just happen.
Summon a dark mist around oneself, darkening the area around you.
Costs:
50 MP
Gives:
3 HP per rank
2 MP per rank
+5 Wisdom: Summoning: Elemental
You have been awarded 1 Appearance Point.
You have 1 Appearance Point for your use.
You have been awarded 10 Skill Points.
You have 23 Skill Points for your use.
Wow all those Skill Points!
Well first things first… I’ll have to dye my hair black.
Next, allocating those Skill Points.
As Skill Points go, you can choose a skill to rank up, or you can choose an Attribute category. Either one works well towards character development.
So she went to her skills and Attributes to find any that might be useful at a higher level…
She looked through the Attributes first. Again she was thinking about upgrading to her strengths, not knowing what might be on the horizon. So, thinking of her strengths, those were Agility and, as of late, Endurance, and finally, Wisdom, being her type of attack and defense, plus buffs.
Quite a few to choose from, but there’s plenty of Skill Points to go around.
So far the Attributes looked like this:
Strength 9.8
Dexterity 17.1
Endurance 9.6
Agility 22.7
Solidity -0.7
Wisdom 24.9
Charisma 8
Intelligence 23.6
The high ones being DEX, already being high but added to by the recent training; AGI from all the workouts of running, jumping and leveling up the Sprinting skill; and WIS, with all the spells and magic. SOL was in the minus due to the ghostly aspect of the Athena's Clothing brand robe and other minus stats for silence.
But now the question is what to put the points into. A magic user should have a high WIS, of course… but STR is so low.
So looking into the future, would magic be all that is needed or does she need to look at balancing out and catching up on the physical attributes?
She thought about that Greatsword of Weeping she had gotten as loot from the Imps. She needed a whole lot more Strength just to wield it properly, but being a Psychic Vampire, and not a Tank or Warrior class, she’d probably sell it.
She took a look at the skills she could upgrade. She almost forgot about all of her Psychic skills. Bloodsucker had taken care of her damage dealing worries.
The Knives skill was useful, but had hardly been ranked up after the last default. It was still at rank 1.
There’s been a few skills newly maxed out and evolved, like Sprinting, and Jumping, and Stealth. Maybe there’s another one that would be useful as a Vampire?
There’s the new Vampire skill set. Of course, that will be put to use very soon! She looked through those.
Bite, Nightwalker, Bloodsucker, Aura of Enticement, Enthrall. They’re the special package for Vampires. But which one to choose? Maybe Bite might be a good one to upgrade. It’ll give a good first impression… She put 5 Skill Points into it… But it didn’t work. You had to use the skill at least once.
Darn it. Bloodsucker would be the only one. But it’s already powerful enough.
Back to scrolling.
Bolt was already rank 13. So she put 7 Skill Points there, making her that much faster.
You have evolved the skill Bolt to Rush (tier 3)!
You can now run twice as fast as you could. (Total running multiplier while using skill: 2x)
Cost:
5 SP per yard
Gives:
+3 Agility: Feet: Running
For evolving a skill you have gained +5 to Agility: Feet: Running.
You have 16 Skill Points remaining.
Agility is really getting up there.
What else to put the Skill Points towards.
There’s always Luck… but Strength could be better. So could Endurance.
How about some of all.
+5 Strength: Movement: Running
+5 Endurance: Movement: Legs
+6 Luck: Attack
That should do well with all the rest of the training done. Plus a little luck for those attacks.
KillPrinsX awoke, laying in the center of a room. She could see everything clearly now, but there was no apparent light source. The once dark room, she could now see in vibrant colors.
There were cabinets of gold cups and plates studded with rubies and other fine jewels. A couple of pictures hung on the walls next to tapestries depicting historical moments in Vampire history. In the center of the room was a small table with a chalice, golden and studded with many priceless rubies.
She stood up to take a look. Inside the chalice was a bright red liquid, nearly glowing like it had magical properties.
She went to grab for it.
The wind spoke, “Not so soon.” She was nearly startled witless. “I’ll give you a vial to keep, for when the time comes.”
“What is it?” KillPrinsX asked.
“The original blood of the first and last Vampire. An angel and a demon. He who still lives, while dead.”
It took her a second to do the math. “But vampires don’t have blood.”
“Precisely. His blood. He gifted us with it. A gift. Merely as fate has it, a gift to give to his followers.”
She tried wrapping her head around that one as she turned to look her master in the eyes. He was the same man… or Vampire who was depicted in the relief of the steel doors. Gaunt, but built. Dead while alive.
“Master,” she said as she bowed. She knew what had to be done, and she asked for orders. “Tell me Lord Lucretius, what is the first plan of action? I’ve had an epiphany, a sudden knowing… I can feel it… We are in a war against humanity, and those who deserve better will get it. Those who deserve nothing will pay for their sins.”
“Yesss. They will. Let us test your powers. Take a village, enthrall their leader and bring that human to me.”
She had gotten the quest.
War Against Humanity
You have met the Vampire Lord Lucretius. He seemed to have been waiting for you, the one. You have let him bite you and take you under his wing. His goal is one of domination. Your goal is one of the same.
In order to test your skills and gain his trust, overtake a village, Enthrall their leader and bring him back to your Lord, Lucretius.
She accepted.
“One last thing.” Lord Lucretius said, “bring their leader to me, and I will give you a vial of The Blood of the First.”
She nodded and left.
