Day 11 Default 5
“Please give it up for Widdow1da! Coming back from the desert a new Mage, at Level 28, she claims to have what it takes to make it to the top!”
The crowd cheered as a Mage in red robes strode out and into the battle field.
“And entering opposite her, a Mage with a peculiar tendency to wear sunglasses indoors and out, returning from mysterious quests in the forest of Nadir, please welcome KillPrinsX!
Again the crowd cheered, and KillPrinsX walked out and into the glaring sunlight. She would have been shaking if it wasn’t for that Blue Martini she had, but she focused, going through the plan once more. She knew what would happen for the first few seconds, after that, it was up to her and her skill.
“Ready!”
She cast her Custom Buff, 187 MP, a percentage gone from of her staff’s stats. 100 MP into her shield. Lastly summoning the Mana Capsule. 151/938 MP left.
“FIGHT!”
KillPrinsX watched Widdow1da charge an attack and release. KillPrinsX timed it perfectly, using Psychic Dash to evade the Fire Blast and get closer. At her new position, she instantly threw a Flaming Rock, catching Widdow1da mid Blast and throwing her off balance.
“First hit goes to KillPrinsX!”
She took it easy now, slowly walking closer, waiting for her Mana to recharge. Watching every move, ready to Evade.
Widdow1da cast another spell, summoning Fire Creature. It wouldn’t be too hard to evade this one, as long as no fireball was being thrown. But then, the Fire Creature threw a fireball, not as big as KillPrinsX’s, but fire nonetheless.
KillPrinsX started backing up, making it easier for her to dodge. It helped, but now she had two opponents to keep her eyes on.
Widdow1da did almost the same as she did, slowly walking, keeping eye contact.
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
It only meant that Widdow1da‘s Mana is low too. But in the end KillPrinsX would have more, much more.
It was another few intense seconds of dodging fireballs, and a few miscellaneous spells from Widdow1da.
“Fight back!” Widdow1da yelled, summoning a good sized stone zipping past KillPrinsX’s ear.
KillPrinsX waited, she was still building up her own Mana, now close to 100, and watching her Mana Capsule tick up and up, now at 800 MP in savings.
She had enough of the fireballs from the summoned creature. She gave it a good Water Blast, sending it off to its heavens.
She could tell that Widdow1da was infuriated by that. She was so angry that she sent her own Fire Blast towards her, causing KillPrinsX to evade deftly once more and keep her winning advantage.
A few more seconds and this would be her time to shine.
She evaded another spell, and went to pick up her savings.
Now more or less back to full Mana, she chose her next attack wisely.
Lightning Bolt!
Widdow1da watched as KillPrinsX finally sent a spell her way, but she wasn’t expecting a lightning bolt to hit her from above!
The noise was tremendous, sending her flying off with pieces of dirt spreading across the battlefield.
She used Analyze on her now semiconscious opponent.
Widdow1da - Level 25 - Mage
She found out that Widdow1da’s health was still high. She must have had a good amount in her shield.
She watched as Widdow1da tried to push herself up, but struggled after such a hard blow.
She sent an Electric Ball this time, watching as it moved slowly in Widdow1da‘s direction. The attack was slow enough, and Widdow1da had finally stood up just in time to cast a spell that sent the Ball Lightning back to KillPrinsX! Widdow1da laughed and sent along a few fireballs.
KillPrinsX had a good remedy for this. She powered up Water Blast and sent it through the Ball of Lightning and into Widdow1da.
Neither of them didn’t know what to expect, or at least had no time to react, but the force of the water hit Widdow1da and caused severe disorientation with the added electrical attack.
KillPrinsX only took the time to see that her opponent wasn’t out yet, still trying to get up. KillPrinsX cast Electric Fireball. It zoomed across the field and snapped in a burst of sparks and fire.
“Ten! Nine!…”
KillPrinsX ran up close, watching if her opponent would open an eye or start moving. She would be taking continual damage with the burns…
“…Three! Two! One! We have a winner!!!”
KillPrinsX bowed, took one last look at Widdow1da and went back to her room, taking the complimentary Blue Martini on the way.
There was one more fight before the semi-finals. The winners so far were unknown to her, but after those, she would know soon enough.
All in all, she wasn’t too worried. That fight hadn’t been too bad, she definitely had her tactics worked out, and as long as she evades well, and not get knocked out, she’d be alright. She’ll have to figure out something in case that happened… most likely on the spot.
