After hearing no response from the other side of Mr. Alodia's door Urvashi went outside the building and started weighting his options, as of right now the only 2 Rankbearers he knew were missing and he had no way to contact them.
While he was walking down the streets of Nast he noticed a pair of Enforcers in the distance, upon seeing them Urvashi's hair stood on end.
He unassumingly went into the closest marketplace, as to not get recognized in the crowd of people.
Of course he wasn't sure if the Enforcers could recognize him while he was disguised --- he wasn't even sure whether the Enforcers had put wanted posters on him or not, but it couldn't hurt being carefull.
While in the marketplace he saw another Enforcer, this time it was Taele.
Urvashi's heart sank.
Taele could most certianlly recognize him, in fact there probably wasn't an Enforcer who knew him better than Taele. Although up until recently their relationship was shallow at best, they still met face to face a few times in the last few days.
And what made things even worse, is that Taele wasn't wearing Enforcer clothes but rather ordinary clothing. Meaning that he probably wasn't even on the lookout for Urvashi but was just shopping.
Urvashi inwarldy cursed his fate and inconspicuously tried to get as far away from Taele as he possibly could without drawing attention to himself.
He turned a corner and pretended to be intrested in the lemonade a bunch of kids were selling, and all the while he was keeping check in his mind through the periphery of his vision where Taele was.
'No, but really? While he's not even on his shift.'
Although he tried to keep an eye out on any Enforcers his tired state was catching up to him faster and faster, he could only partially focus on Taele while the pair of Enforcers he saw down the street slipped his mind entirely.
"Are you going to buy the lemonade or not?" A young voice called out to him from behind.
Urvashi looked back and saw a teenager who was perhaps 16 or so with a pair of brown eyes and black hair looking at him with an irritated expression.
'Damn. Think about not placing attention on myself.'
"Sure. Just thinking which one i should get."
"Man, it's lemonade. Why are you brainstorming over it."
Urvashi turning away from the girl turned to the stand owner and bought a medium sized one.
"About time." She scoffed.
But Urvashi just took his lemonade and left, trying to cirlce around Taele and get to the other entrance of this marketplace, or in his case the exit.
'No, but seriously how annoying can that kid be?'
He was slowly making his way to the exit while carefully making sure he wasn't looking directly or too long at Taele as to not alert his senses.
He was maybe a half dozen meters away from the exit but to his tragedy Taele started walking towards the same exit he was.
He turned to the stall owner who was selling lamps and started sipping his lemonade to hide as much of his face as he could without drawing attention.
He even flared out his lateral muscles and shoulders to make himself look bigger, so his figure wouldn't be as recognizable.
The stall owner, a man perhaps in his 60s with a bald head and blue eyes, looked at him with amusement.
"So, what kind of lamp intrests you?"
"What kind? The one that can light up my room the best."
The stall owner nodded.
"Then this one." He said as he pointed at a pear shaped lamp.
Urvashi took it and brought it to his face for closer examination, but in reality he was looking at the reflective surface of the lamp and keeping tabs on Taele's movement.
Taele was, thankfully, close to exiting but all of a sudden the shop owner called out to him.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
"Hey you there, do you want to buy lamps."
From what Urvashi could see Taele looked at the stall owner and was seemingly contemplating wheter or not he should.
'Please don't. Please don't.'
But he did.
Urvashi in that quick moment used all the brain power he could master and thought of a few plans, with each step Taele took Urvashi was discarding old plans and coming up with new ones.
Eventually, as Taele was about to stand next to him he had 2 options remaining.
First, he would keep acting as a customer and hope Taele wouldn't recognize him or the second one.
The second one being that the moment the bald owner starts talking to Taele he would go around him and hope the old guy could keep a conversatiom for a few moments.
As Taele was about to stand next to him, Urvashi made a decision. He would try the second plan.
Putting the lamp down he took a sip from his lemonade and started walking towards the direction of the exit while Taele's focus was on the stall owner.
With each step he took Urvashi felt more and more relieved, the bald guy was perhaps trying to keep Taele's attention too much.
And that only worked in his favor.
One other stall owner just before the exit called out to him, but Urvashi paid him no mind at all and instead continued sipping his lemonade.
His lemonade was still half-full as he had a plan for it if anything went awry, but it's primary use would be to keep his face hidden.
Of course it would help keep his true appearence hidden while he was searching for either Sharron or Mr. Alodia, but he had to choose one to look for.
After all, a man who chases two rabbits catches neither.
He wasn't that worried about Sharron really, she should have gotten his message.
And even if he did find her he doubted she could be of much help, while Mr. Alodia on the other hand could surely help him in some way.
Walking through the exit Urvashi could still hear the loud marketplace behind him, but the loudest one for some reason was the lamp owner.
Urvashi passing through the exit inwardly praised the bald shop owner and thought of what direction he should take.
If he went left he would go towards the dirrction of his apartment, while if he went right he would go towards the city square.
On the other hand if he went forward, he would still be in Taele's sight and he would be going towards a theatre.
While going to a play could keep him hidden in the crowd of people it wouldn't help him in any way whatsoever.
And he had to make a choice quickly.
Left, right or forward?
Would he go left towads his apartment?
Or would Urvashi keep going forward?
Neither, he would go right.
And while he was turning right he looked at a reflectieve surface to see where Taele was.
And what he was made his hair stand on end.
He saw Taele holding up the same lamp that he had while looking at him through the reflectieve surface.
He suddenly understood one thing, that being that he wasn't as slick as he thought he was.
He, just in case he was wrong, only speed his walk up instead of running off.
And due to that fact he could no longer see the reflectieve surface he was kept in the dark of Taele's whereabouts.
Thankfully there was a fair number of people walking in the same direction he was, so he tried to use that to his advantage.
While getting away from the marketplace he threw his brown top hat and wore a simple black strawhat that he took out of his inner pocket, the one that Sharron wore.
And while he was hidden by the crowd of people he took off his coat and suit and was now only in a black suit and a linen white shirt underneath.
