In the small apartment Alodia appeared out of thin air with a notebook in hand panting and drenched in sweat holding his chest. His one eye staring across the room without focus not looking at anything in particular, after a while his expression changed. His blue eye gained its usual sharpness and he looked at the notebook in his hand, after giving it thorough look he nodded in satisfaction seemingly pleased from what he gleamed.
He eyed the card inside the notebook and placed his hand on the paper, his hand passing through the paper and grabing the card from the space behind it, the notebook was just a way to seal items and carry them. The card was sharp on the edges and did not feel like paper on touch but rather something hard like iron maybe or gold even.
He decided to wait until morning to infrom Urvashi that his plan had worked. Urvashi came to him looking for help a few hours before the Blades had been dispatched, the Blades they sent were quite impressive--well as impressive as they can be in this cursed place, but still using his quasi-2nd Step powers to scare them off was perhaps an overkill.

Next morning a few hours after the sun had risen Alodia heard a knock on his door, he could already guess who it was, getting up from his table Alodia opened the door and greeted Urvashi with a warm smile.
Urvashi entered and saw that Alodia's breakfast was half finished, meaning that he had interrupted him for which he apologized.
After sitting down Alodia offered Urvashi to eat, Urvashi accepted it of course.
"So was it hard?" Urvashi asked.
"No, not really. They gave it up as soon as i appeared before them" Alodia replied, a hint of smugness finding it's way into his voice.
"You did good on informing me of this. It's not easy to obtain relics, much more relics such as these ones." Alodia continued.
"Oh, are they so special?" Urvashi asked with suprise.
"This one." Alodia said as he picked up the notebook. "This one allows you to store and carry items. It's effects are limited though, it can hold a few relics of decent worth. Storage relics are extremely rare." His tone sounding quite pleased.
Seeing the card on the table Urvashi inquired about it. The card that Gom got killed over.
"Ah. This one is quite special. It has 5 different states. The one you see right now depicting the clown is used for offensive means, to be precise, it's good when used against multiple people. It has the ability to indiscriminately attack everyone but the user by putting them in a sluggish state and constantly assaulting their mind at the cost of spirituality. It's downside is it can't distinguish between friend or foe" Alodia patiently explained.
Hearing this Urvashi was very pleased with himself for whatever reason. Not like he did anything to get it but report it to Alodia.
"And the other 4?" He shamelessly asked.
"The second one depicting an orb of light, golden in color, while in the corners where the orb doesn't reach is black in color. You may have already noticed but the card is extremely sharp on the edges, this state allows you to pour in large amounts of spirituality for one big hit. While in this state the already sharp edge becomes even sharper and depending on the spirituality poured in you could cut some impressive things with it." Alodia said before cathing a breath.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
"The third one depicting a golden spear with its tip shining brilliantly. It allows you to turn the card into a orb of flames that can travel respectable distances at a great speed, upon impact it causes a big explosion and of course it depends on the amount of spirituality poured in. The user is immune to the effects of flames up to the moment they explode." Alodia paused before continuing.
"The forth one not depicting anything but instead being fully golden. It's a defensive state and what it does is upon activation it forms a barrier of light around you which drains spirituality at a great cost for each second it's kept up. It's great to use against explosions and such since it can absorb them if the level diffrence isn't too great of course." Alodia explained and made a weird expression.
"The fifth one is probably one of the most useful relic abilities that i have ever seen, well to be honest this whole card is. I suspect it didn't come from a single aspect leaking out but multiple somehow. It's probably the best relic bellow the 2nd Rank level ones, it's versatility is almost unmached but the effects are rather weak." Realizing he had strayed away from the fifth state Alodia began explaining.
"The fifth one's depiction changes each and every time it's used, it depicts the person you used it on. This state allows you for a single usage copy of any person's ability, and if used on ordinary people i suspect you could copy their skill for a short amount of time. I believe i don't need to tell you how good this is." Alodia finally having finished explaining let out a breath.
"So, what do you think?" Alodia asked Urvashi
What did he think? He thought that he was on top of the world! That was because Urvashi and Alodia made a deal as a way for Urvashi to get some relics he would have to help Alodia later on in the future about something.
"To be entirely honest, i don't know much about the supernatural world but judging by your reactions i think i hit a jackpot." Urvashi replied.
Alodia only chuckled.
"Well i'll be honest as well, i can't be around all the time to protect you and i've used this eye to access quasi-2nd Step powers quite a few times these last few days and it's taking a toll on me. It will be a few days at least until i can access them again. So i'm happy you have some means to protect yoursrlf." Alodia replied honestly.
Hearing this Urvashi felt guilty knowing that he used those powers because of him.
Suddenly a question sturck Urvashi
"How do i switch between states?" He hurriedly asked.
And before Alodia could respond he added. "Does it have a name?".
Upon hearing this Alodia chuckled as he answered.
"You can change states by thinking about it and pouring a little spirituality into the card." He paused.
"Oh and it's name? It's called Fool's gambit."
