He noticed that this fast vibrating person had a very slow heartbeat. He could feel it through his nervsystem. It felt strange, a very odd uncomfortable feeling. Like a human body wasn't made to house more than one persons vital functions. He felt like a heartmachine, reading someones vitals. He thought of how to connect to someones energy to the right person in the room. He couldn't be sure this was Kenji, how could he figure this out? Whose could it be?
He looked at Kenji and he felt the connection. Kenji sat peacefully in his chair, it looked like he was meditating. That would explain the slow heartbeat.
'Yo Kendric, take it easy man,' Kenji stared at him, 'what's up with your raising heartbeat?'
'What do you mean?' Kendric asked him but at the same time he noticed that his heartrate was increasing rapidly.
'Good, you found eachother!' Noted Jean.
They apperently did. Kendric had the feeling it indeed was a hard puzzle. To connect the dots was bizar to say the least. But once you saw the connection it actually all made sense. He watched the others. Zuberi and Marcellus had both found Maynard but Maynard had a hard time in connecting the dots.
Finally something he doesn't get immediatly.
Kendric smirked and made eyecontact with Zuberi and Marcellus. Telepathy, they both seem to think the same about Maynard and had to chuckle. Kenji clearly didn't got the message and pulled his shoulders up, asking them what was all the fuzz about. But Jean connected to all of them now and they heard her talking in their minds.
Now read me, as I read you. Read this ship, access the knowledge in it's database.
They all squeezed their eyes. Kendric just sat relaxed in his chair thinking about how to access it all. With the knowledge he got from the source, everything came all natural. With this he just couldn't understand why everything had to be so different.
'It's different chosen one Kendric Origins because this isn't about your souls energy or any frequency in contrary to what you think. This is about information. You used your energy to detect Kenji but this ship needs to be understood with math and science.' Jean noted.
Kendric laughed out loud and tried to comment on Jane while gasping for air: 'Math and science? Did they program you to be funny?' And the guys were doing their best not to laugh.
'The ship will detect it's weakest link chosen one Kendric Origins!' And Jean stared him down in a creepy phoenix dark side way
'Who are you calling the weakest link? It certainly isn't me, maybe Maynard.' And Kendric grinned.
Maynard got up and began to yell against Kendric: 'you are a fool Kendric. Maybe our leader but not the brightest one huh? I am an expert in science and math, so yes, you are the weakest link!' Maynard sat down again and opened up a menu by pushing some symbols.
Maybe Maynard is right, I am stupid. I've never bin a smartass. Maybe they made a mistake. How can I lead them if I don't even know how to control a ship?
Kendric felt clueless, again. It appeared so that this became a habit.
'I see everything in your mind, I am reading you. The connection you make with the ship is like a Bluetooth connection. Without a code, easy to access. I can read your every thought, your every move and all your past steps.' She showed Kendric storming out of the messhall.
'Just let me out!' He commanded but Jean didn't comply.
'My lessons aren't voluntary. You need to learn to ride the ship so sit down chosen one Kendric Origins and let us continue.'
Kendric followed her order although he wasn't at all to happy about it. He got connected with the ship again and felt all their energies now floating through his body. It was overwhelming.
'I told you, not like that. Don't use your powers, use your brain and try to comprehend!' Jane ordered Kendric but Kendric didn't know how to shut off his powers. It just worked automatically, reading the energies and connecting to them.
'Focus on the ship, focus on its manual. Try to find it in the database. Just think what you want to find.' Jane now actually sounded almost like a human person with feelings.
Yeah feelings of pity!
Kendric couldn't help his negative energy possessing and controlling his way of thinking and he didn't care if she got to read them as well.
'How the heck am I suppose to tap in to the spacecrafts network???' He yelled at Jean. The boys all stared at him like they were seeing a stray dog and pity on him.
'Think Kendric, don't feel. Think. Like the law of attraction. Just think about what you want. Do you want to go into the maincomputer of this vessel?' Kenji tried to help him get through this since he also noticed that Kendric was having a little mental breakdown.

Kendric closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Although he was scared that this way he just got to use his powers again instead of his brain.
But closing his eyes didn't help, there was nothing to see. He got so frustrated and his heartbeat was raising again.
'I give up, I can't do this. You guys learn to operate the spaceship, I just be a perfect passenger on board ok?'
'That's not how this works. We just need to disconnect you.' Jean focused back on the screen in front of her again.
Kendric didn't know what she ment with that but he wasn't eager to find out. She disconnected herself by pulling the long pin out of her neck and then walked towards Kendric. She took the pin in her hand which was still connected to his bodysuit.
'Just let me decode you.' She said with her robotic voice.
Kendric wanted to freak out but Marcellus made a gesture that he needed to relax and just enjoy the ride.
Well little super Mario with his master-hacker-mind would know right? Who am I not to trust him, he probably knows exactly what Jean is going to do. I don't even know the freakin words she is using. I hate computers!
Jean's indexfinger transformed into a long pin and she stuffed it into the tube which was connected to the pin on his bodysuit. As soon as she got connected right into his tube, Kendric saw the binary code. He noticed she changed the computer instructions and after a few seconds she pulled her finger out.
'I have adjusted the settings, it should work now to your standards.'
Kendric wondered what she ment with "adjusted to his standards". Was she referring to his lack of mathematical skills? But he didn't care and decided not to seek a deeper human meaning with her remarks while there was nothing to be found. She was an A.I. everything she said was just exactly said by how she ment it.
As he saw the binary code falling like raindrops again he felt a connection being established with the spacecraft. The more binary code passed by, the more he began to understand how to operate the spacecraft. Somehow it all made sense now, it was all so logical.
'Jean can I ask you something? Why were my powers in the way to set up a connection and why didn't the others suffer from that? They also have a power.'
'Because you have multiple powers, it's your juice, your fuel, your energy, your blood that's keeping your heart beating. That's why I needed to adjust the standards settings. We haven't had any chosen one ever to operate these spaceships. Cerebro, like all others, have standard settings for standard truthseekers with one or at most three powers. Obviously the settings were not sophisticated enough for someone like you.' She walked back to her station and connected herself again.
Kenji started the engine. Well, engine...
It wasn't exactly an engine run by fuel. The spacecraft apperently used dark matter to move. The subatomic particles of the dark matter fueled the ship continiously. Kendric just recieved all the information from the ship through the very advanced binary code. It was like someone plugged in an USB stick into his brain and uploaded a speedcourse from NASA. Though he couldn't comprehend how a spaceship could move on dark matter and he wondered if there would be any scientist who would be able to see the science in that.
Do humans even understand dark matter?
'Awesome isn't it?' Marcellus asked while he accessed some other data and was busy swiping over a screen.
'Whatever settings you want to know of me, I assure you, you won't find them in this maincomputer. I am protected, there is no quick download, my maker made sure of that. You can however hack me, I see in your brain you got enough knowledge to pull that off.' And Jean now sat down in a chair which placed her in some sort of grid which looked like she was trapped into a spiderweb.
For Marcellus it sounded like music in his ears, hacking the A.I. but Zuberi gave him an arm thrust.
'Focus Marcellus!' Zuberi grinned. They all knew how Marcellus brain got in overload with everything hackable.
'So we are going to divide the tasks to fly and operate this ship.' Kenji said like he was captain of the Star Trek Enterprise. But no one protested his self appointed leadership. It seemed only logic that the guy who was into robotics be their captain.
'Marcellus with your remote viewing power, you will do the navigation of the ship and reading the starmaps from the ships database.' Kenji ordered him and Marcellus agreed.
'Zuberi and I are the engineers on board and will do the mechanical part and control the weapon system. We will check the status of the entire ship during it's flight. Maynard, you will be flying this ship into space together with Kendric. You'll both will follow the directions from Marcellus.'
Maynard looked as suprised as Kendric did. Maynard also struggled to connect with the ship and took a longer time than the others before he pulled it off. In some way Kendric and he were the same, they relied a lot on their powers.
'Flying a helicopter and shooting in Call of duty isn't the same as this Kenji!' Maynard said while studying the controlpanel infront of him. Kendrick was anxcious about his new role as a pilot. Through the energy connection he could feel that Maynard experienced exactly the same doubts as he was.
'Are you sure Kenji? This speedcourse we just had, will it be enough to let us fly this thing?' Kendric wasn't so sure as Kenji, he detected Kenji's certainty through his energy.
'The knowledge from the database will let us operate this ship and also will be pulled up in case of need!' And that was that for Kenji, the end of a non existing discussion.
'Let's fly!' Marcellus yelled enthousiasticly while he typed some coordinates into the system.
Kendric and Maynard quickly exchanged eyecontact, they then put their mind to it and controlled the vessel with their minds, commanding it to fly.
Undocking, floating, flying. It happened, it really happened. The boys were all overenthousiastic. Kendric and Maynard looked at Jane and she just stood there. They steered the ship out of the hangar and flew right into space. It was breathtaking, stars were everywhere. As they flew faster it looked like they were surrounded by shooting stars.
'Cluster A10 KJ65!' Marcellus ordered them.
Maynard adjusted their route to the cluster Marcellus just gave them.
'What's up there?' Kenji asked Marcellus.
'You'll see.' And he grinned while he scrolled through some sort of 4D map.
