Chapter 19. Lonely

Kendric remembered again that he got lost in the hallways. He decided to just walk back into the last direction he could remember and wing it.

How hard can this be?

He just walked and walked, left, right, straight forward, back, left again.

Why do all these bloody hallways look the same?

He really got annoyed. He must at least walked for an hour by now and these hallways were crazy. Like one big maze, they were all so dark

No LED, no torches or blue beam for that matter. Only the little light from the stars. He ran around in circles, he even recognised a bright star pattern when he looked through the window. He must at least crossed them 3 times by now. Kendric got frustrated, if only he had his phone. He was clueless what he could do. He felt totally hopeless untill he heard a familiar, annoying voice.

'Kendric, what are you doing here?'

It was Zasha and she just stepped out of a wormhole.

'I am lost. Where did you just came from?' Kendric didn't see any blue beam of their class so what was she doing here in these hallways where they didn't had any classes?

Zasha giggled and spoke up with her heavy Russian accent and annoying voice: 'Practising, you know fire is dangerous. So Miss Bria brought me to this exercise room where I can practise without endangering anyone.'

Zasha opened up her hand and a little flame was created in the palm of her hand. She threw the flame against the wall and the wormhole opened.

'Only one with pyrokinesis can open up this wormhole to access the exercise room. Well, step in!' She ordered him. But Kendric was unsure to do so.

'I haven't mastered that power yet Zasha.'

'I doesn't matter, you have the power within you so step in!!!' She ordered him impatiently.

As soon as Kendric stepped through the wormhole his body slided through a tube where flames were controlling the way you went. It was like a big slide in a swimming pool but instead of water, you were pushed by flames. They didn't hurt though. It weren't the burning kind of flames known from earth, they actually felt cold.

This wormhole seemed to be the longest ride so far from all the wormholes he went through at Anunnaki High. When they finally got out they stood in a field filled with grass and flowers.

'Where are we?'

'You tell me, you went in first. This is your creation.' Zasha told him while scoping out the place.

But there wasn't much to scope, just fields with grass, which looked like a hill.

Kendric looked around. 'I am home!' He yelled and ran through the field down the hill. He ran as fast as he could. But it didn't matter how long he kept running, the field seemed to be neverending and after a while he ended up next to Zasha again. At the beginning...

He looked confused and then looked angry at Zasha.

'So, are you going to explain this any time soon?'

Zasha laughed and said: 'You can't be this stupid right?'

Kendric thought long and hard about it while obviously feeling offended by Zasha's insult.

Stupid? Who do you think you are? You are stupid! But I have to figure this out. So, I came in here and ended up back here again. It's my creation she said. I must created the field on the hill from back home. Yes, that must be it. So I am not at home. But where are we than?

Zasha sat down in the grass picking some flowers. If Kendric wasn't so annoyed by her, he would actually enjoy seeing a beautiful girl in the fields, it was like a perfect picture moment. But he still looked angry at her and she didn't even seem to care.

'Oh Kendric, come on! You created this yes. Do you watch Star Trek? You know the holodeck? Miss Bria is a Trekkie and she came up with this, to recreate a holodeck so we could practise. But it works on thoughts or desires, whatever. Your home is your desire? This field?' Zasha got up and tried to remove the grass from her bodysuit.

Kendric sat down in the grass and took a deep breath. It even smelled like home. How cool is this place? He did his breathing exercises and closed his eyes.

Fire, fire, fire, I want to create fire.

He opened up one eye while he squeezed down the other, looked at his hands, only to see that there was actually...

...nothing.

No flames, no whatever. Annoyed he watched how Zasha was throwing flames from her hands. Zasha stared back at Kendric.

'It's not peace what you need for this power Kendric, it is the fire within! Think about what makes you angry or what makes your heart beat faster. Concentrate on that and than put all that energy to your hands.'

Kendric thought about Yrsa, how his heart beats faster each time he saw her and heard her talking with her beautiful voice. He felt a tingling around his heart and tried to concentrate on that feeling. He felt the energy flowing through his body and tried to redirect it to his hands. He got up and thought how Avatar Ang learned to control his fire bending with Prince Zuko while they were standing at the two dragons. He tried to imitate the way they were standing and placed one foot back and one forward. He felt like a Shaolin munk and his arms were making some interesting movements. He didn't even knew where they were coming from, it was as if they were stored somewhere in his brain the whole time. He guessed it must have bin the knowledge given by the source. While he stood firmly with two feet in the grass, he placed his handpalms to eachother and opened it up in front of his tummy. He then pushed forwards and a burst of fire shoot out of his hands. It just continued, like it was neverending. So bright, mixed colors, orange, yellow, red...

'Show off!' Zasha said while rolling her eyes.

Kendric closed his hands and as soon as he did the flames stopped shooting out of his hands.

'This is amazing Zasha, the energy, it's totally not like the last airbender. We have total control over it! This is awesome!' And he felt allmigthy, god-like, invincible...

Zasha smiled and nodded her head. She knew exactly what he ment with that. The feeling of power could be overwhelming with pyrokineses.

'It's time to go Kendric. But lets do this again soon. We could train on eachother!' Zasha shot a flame right up into the sky and a wormhole opened high above them.

'Uhm Zasha, how do we jump into the wormhole while it's up in the sky?' And Kendric wondered if he could imagine that the sky came down on them.

'Like this Kendric!' Zasha was shooting flames out of her hands pointing to the ground and she lifted of and disappeared in the wormhole.

Kendric was impressed. Zasha apperently had learned quiet a lot in a short period of time. He imitated Zasha while thinking about Yrsa and her beautiful braids and flames were coming out of his hands again. He pointed them to the ground and imagined he was superman, kneeled down and jumped up. He flew through the wormhole entrance. This was so awesome, he felt totally free and that no task was to big for him. He felt like superman!

And all this, just with thoughts, who could've imagined the power of thinking?

They stood in the dark hallway again where the wormhole closed down behind them.

'Do you know the way back Zasha?' And he stared at her while feeling clueless again.

'Yeah, just follow me.' And she walked into a different direction.

Kendric followed her. It felt like he tried all these hallways already, but somehow missed a turn or two.

Finally, familiar terrain. They were in the hallway again which leads to the golden messhall. Zasha looked back at Kendric and waved at him. She entered the messhall and Kendric noticed Yrsa was talking to Zuberi. Apperently they saw him too since Zuberi and Yrsa were waving at him. But he didn't forgot how they all ignored him earlier that day and he wanted to learn more about the Anunnaki. He raised his hand to them and turned right in the direction of Master Uruk's office. While he tried to escape quickly away from them he heared Yrsa yelling his name and she came running to him.

'What do you want Yrsa?' And he tried to hide his annoyed face by pulling up a fake smile.

'Wow Kendric, what's your problem?', and she looked furious, 'did I do something wrong? Something to upset you?'

Kendric rolled his eyes. He didn't had time for this girl drama.

'What do you want? I have much to do, so could you hurry up please?' Kendric sighed.

'I wanted to ask you how your experience with your guide was? But I am sorry for waisting your precious time!!!' Furious she stormed away.

Kendric rolled his eyes again. Yes she was beautiful but she could also be a mega pain in your butt.

Dramaqueen!

He walked off and found him self bumping in to Master Uruk.

'Yes, right in time. Follow me, much to do!' Master Uruk tapped with his staff on the ground again and created an opening through the smokescreen. He stepped through it and Kendric followed him into Master Uruk's office.

Master Uruk swang his staff around and lightning came out which he pointed on the neverending ceiling of the akashic records tower. A storm appeared above them, dark grey clouds with lightning bolts in it. The alien binary code was raining down on them. It felt like he was watching the movie the Matrix, he felt like Neo. Personally his favourit movie from Keanu Reeves. But this code wasn't green, they were blue. It were Anunnaki symbols, he recognised them. As a whirlwind they surrounded them.

'What do you see Kendric?'

'Our history, us, them, we. We are them, they are us. We are Ancient astronauts.'

'Yes, I believe you wanted to learn right Neo?' And Master Uruk grinned.

'Continue poking my mind and you don't need Netflix anymore Morphius!' Now Kendric grinned worh a sneeky smile upon his face.

He had to admit, a person who could enter your mind anytime was quiet annoying but handy at the same time. It just spared a lot of time and energy which you often loose in conversations. But he couldn't hear Master Uruk's thoughts. It would be nice to hear some of that thoughts so he could know him a little better a little faster.

'Oh but I always speak my mind Kendric, it's not that hard to get to know me. I believe we already learned a lot about eachother, isn't that right?'

He was right, he had told them about loosing the love of his life to the cult the Negatives, how they were the founders of this school. He had spend quite some time now with Master Uruk, more than others. He liked Master Uruk, he was nice and had a great sense of humour. He was this great father figure, he even reminded him of his dad, but than brighter, more intelligent. But how old was he actually?

'Haha, old Kendric, older than humans suppose to get. The benefits of being a truthseeker and founder of this place and ofcourse being immortal. Start reading Kendric, learn about our origin little Origins. You didn't think your bloodtype and surname were a coincedence right? You're supposed to be here, be who you are, the chosen one. And I am so proud that I have you under my guidance. I enjoy our time together. But for now, learn. Here no one will bother you, well besides me than. I like to talk... A lot!' And he grinned again.

Kendric looked at the Anunnaki symbols and felt like what he was reading here, was the same as reading Wikipedia. But this was way more informative, it wasn't a conspiracy theory, people who needed to guess on the little leads they had. This was the pure truth about humanity. About how they were caveman, how it would take millions of years before evolving into what they are today. How the Anunnaki had influenced their DNA, how they became the men they are today. Everything what Enki told him earlier was written here. It was like he was reading a holy book but personally Kendric found this much more interesting. But he also saw the theories of man that were made in the years after. How stories were adapted, like the story of sacrificing the leader of the igigi and from his blood, man were created to be the next slaves after the igigi came in resistance and were defeated by Enki's son. Apperently that wasn't true and so many other things were only half the truth or not true at all. Just like ancients holy books, thousands of years ago, thousands have bin written on stone, on paper... they all had bin adapted many times and many religions in the early history of man were just many religions which got mixed together over time thousands of years ago. It was interesting but difficult to understand as well. So much information!

Kendric got up.

'This is a lot! What to believe?'

'Well that's the beauty of freedom right? We can believe whatever we want. These scrolls are ancient, many written by man. The truth lays as always somewhere in between. It is up to the people themselves what to believe. I for one, just live with the facts that I know and I trust on the explanations that has bin done by the Anunnaki themselves since they have wandered the earth far before men came. Although I have lived many years, I am not nearly as old as the Anunnaki. So trust is what you need. But most important, trust your own instincts. Although you have recieved many cosmic knowledge by the source, you will never know it all. You just have to accept that this is how the universe works.'

Master Uruk gave him a friendly nod and stuffed the binary code back into the ceiling again and the storm disappeared. He opened up the smokescreen.

'I believe you had a long day, go to sleep young master Kendric'.
