Kendric ran through the hallways to Master Uruk's office. He needed to inform him as soon as possible. Mes-Sanuri was dying and so was her whole planet. He ran through the dark hallway and saw the smokescreen entrance to Master Uruks office. He stood before it but didn't know how to open it. He didn't had any lizard staff like Master Uruk and he didn't saw any door knocker or doorbell and he began to panick.

What am I suppose to do now? Walk back to Master Batuo and ask him how to get in or yell for Master Uruk hoping he could hear him through the smokescreen?

He paced around in front of the veil.

Telepathy? Maybe that works? Breathe, idiot, time is of the essence here. Breathe, you can do this!

Kendric encouraged himself and sat down on the floor right in front of the smokescreen.

Master Uruk, can you hear me? It's me, uhmm Kendric Origins. I need your help, I am...uhm... at your office. Or actually in front of your office, I can't get in.

He waited a minute but didn't hear anything. He felt so stupid for even considering this timewaisting option and even more a fool for thinking he could pull it off.

Suddenly, Master Uruk approached and he looked in a hurry while heavily breathing from the sprint he just made.

'It worked? Did you hear me telepathically?'

'What do you mean? I came running because of my alarm was set off! You do remember I told you my office has many security meassures right?'

Kendric totally forgot about that. But what set the alarmsystem of? He didn't even touch the smokescreen, he just sat before it.

'Telepathy between us was only possible because I master it and at that moment I reached out to you, I opened the connection. For you to master this, you have to study. So no I didn't hear you and you set the alarm of by hanging in front of my office.' Master Uruk clearly catched his breath again. He used his lizard staff so they could walk through the smokescreen.

Kendric sat down on the pillow in the middle but inmediatly got back on his feet. He was to anxious to chill at a pillow.

'Young Master Kendric, what is troubling your mind?'

Kendric began to rattle about Mes-Sanuri.

'Stop!', Master Uruk commanded, 'let me see what happened to you.'

He pointed his lizard staff on Kendric's forehead and closed his eyes. Kendric closed his eyes as well and as soon as he did he relived everything again with Mes-Sanuri till the point that he was back in the monestry of Master Batuo and woke up with Yrsa hanging over him. He opened his eyes and wondered what Master Uruk was thinking. Master Uruk paced around. He scratched his chin with his index finger while he thought out loud.

'But how? How could this have happened?', Master Uruk stared back at Kendric and shared his thoughts, 'It was a good thing you wanted to use psychometry on her, which is not something you can easily do when your astral projecting and you need to study it. Thankfully Yrsa woke you up. She followed her intuition and didn't trust the place you went of to. It is for her that your spirit found it's way back to your body!'

Kendric was in shock and with a trembled voice he asked what this ment.

'Well the being that you encountered is certainly not trustworthy. Mes-Sanuri is queen but her species live on other powerfull energies, she absorbs them every 10 years as a true parasite. The 100.000 years were no lie though! If she would've absorbed you, she could go on for at least 100.000 years. Your essence would have bin trapped once you combined with her. It was her who tricked Yrsa allowing to let her in.'

Kendric remained in shock, not fully aware how close he came in ceasing to exist. How could he be that naive? How could he be so stupid to trust her right away? Just because she sounded friendly?

Angel, laughing my ass off, angel from hell yeah!

Master Uruk tapped him on his back. 'Don't be so hard on yourself. Mes-Sanuri is very cleaver, that's how she survived for so long and besided that her voice lures you in. It's the frequency of her voice, impossible to ignore, like the sirens which lured sailors to their death. But we need to train you on your astral projection skill. We can't have you wondering off unprotected again!'

Master uruk grabbed his lizard staff and pointed it up through the Akashic records. He circled around with his staff and a whirlwind of what looked like binary code but than in some ancient alien symbols flew around through the tower.

'There it is,' and Master Uruk pulled one string of code down to his staff. It floated in front of Kendric.

'Read it!' Master Uruk said.

Kendric looked at the alien binary code.

I have never watched something so scary. This alien absorbed his whole spirit. She had trapped him with kindness, lured him with her strange voice and her sad story of dying. I escaped that planet immediatly after witnessing such a horrendous act. I lost my friend to her forever. I won't ever be meeting him in the afterlife. His soul is shredded into a million pieces by now.

Kendric recognised this person as J.P. But as soon as he wanted to fire his questions at him he heared a voice in his head.

A series of old memories flew through Kendrick's mind. He saw his grandmother when she was still young together with J.P. they were practising here at Anunnaki high. Then he saw the marriage of his grandparents and J.P. standing in front of the church, wandering of through a portal only to come back later after 20 years to meet uncle Jerry in Italy. He saw the many trips they were on. Uncle Jerry was clueless about who J.P. really was, but it looked like they had so much fun together that their friendship didn't need an explanation of Jake's true purpose in life.

Then there she was. Mes-Sanuri...

J.P. showed him his best friend. Apperently it happened in those 20 years he left our timeline. His friend seemed to be very powerful but got trapped just like Kendric with her kindness and traitorous voice. Eventually he saw Jake's best friend combining their energies and as soon as the transmission began, the guy broke down into a million pieces and got completely absorbed by her.

Kendric jumped back. He just couldn't believe he came this close of falling for her trap. It wouldn't just mean he would die, it would mean his whole essence wouldn't exist anymore, that he wouldn't have an afterlife. He would be gone, forever...

'Yes exactly, that is the danger of recieving so many powers at once without controlling them!' Said Master Uruk while he put the binary code back in it's record.

'So, time to get some strength back.' He opened the smokescreen and let Kendric out.

Kendric turned around to Master Uruk and thanked him for his help. He went to the golden messhall, he was indeed hungry and low on energy. This astral projecting thing just drained him.

In front of the messhall Yrsa was waiting for him. She looked as empty as she did before. Her eyes weren't sparkling anymore. Kendric took her hand and used his psychometry power on her. Then all Yrsa's feelings overwhelmed him. All the fear...

He felt sorry for her and knew exactly how she felt, as he felt it also. Mes-Sanuri was scary as hell and the knowledge that scary parasites like Mes-Sanuri lived in this universe made the universe a scary big place. It was one thing to know that murderers and other bad people live on your own planet, but it was totally next level to know even bigger and worse creatures lived in the universe. And especially more powerful.

He put his arms around Yrsa and wished he could transport his feelings and comfort on to her on a higher level.

'I met J.P. to. He is an old familyfriend. He gifted me with his experiences as well. What do you say if we practise together to safely astral project after we have eaten something?'

Yrsa had tears rolling over her cheeks and she held Kendric tightly while crying on to his shoulder. Mes-Sanuri really did do a number on her, on the both of them...

Marcellus joined them and asked what they were talking about. Yrsa scraped her throat and jumped through the wormhole.

'What was that all about?' Zuberi asked while he joined them to. Kendric pulled up his shoulders and jumped through the wormhole, he was just hungry.

He saw Yrsa sitting with Zasha and Harlow on the leftside. Kenji sat at the right and waved at him. He walked to Kenji and stared at the touchscreen. He was so hungry, but what to eat? Spaghetti bolognese would do him well, he needed the carbs. He ordered it with a salad and a chocolat milkshake. That would do the trick to raise his energy level.

Zuberi and Marcellus joined them and they stared at Kendric. Kenji looked confused: 'Did I miss something?'.

'Yeah Kendric, tell Kenji, did he missed out on something?' Marcellus asked him teaseful.

'You guys don't understand!!!' He snapped and sighed.

Zuberi sat down next to him, he noticed the fragile state Kendric was in. 'Than tell us brother, what happened in Master Batuo's class? Where did you go?'.

Kendric told them what happened on planet Sanuri and in Master Uruk's office which all led to Yrsa and her fragile state of mind.

'Wait, wait, wait, wait,' Marcellus said confused, 'you spoke with J.P.? He showed you everything? That's even better than the internet! It's like a direct update from the galactic database!' Marcellus clearly was of his rocket again. His hacker brains just couldn't stop going in overdrive.

'So from everything what I just told you, this is what got you impressed?' And Kendric rolled his eyes and laughed. Leave it up to Marcellus to lighten up the atmosphere. Kenji didn't laugh at all though, but worried instead.

'So that was the thing that turned Yrsa into a scared little bird? Do you think Mes-Sanuri will try again Kendric? After all she is dying right? That part she didn't made up.'

'Actually she was completely honest just left the biggest part out, you being shredded forever! Well that part was obviously a lie that I would be fine and all.' Kenji looked painful when Kendric talked about this painfull death.

'I don't know, she needs someone and how many powerful beings are good enough for her to absorb and live on for 100.000 years?' Kendric worried. He didn't thought about how desperate she was and how far she will go. And was he ok with her finding another victim?

But Zuberi interrupted his runaway mind. He took his necklace of with a sharktooth as hanger. While he held the sharktooth tight in his hand he chanted in some strange foreign language. He clearly used his divination powers. After a few minutes his big eyes flew open and he looked like he had seen a ghost. He ran out of the messhall and dissapeared.
