Huang Wen spent more than half an hour to restore most of his health. All of his wounds were closed and most of his energy was restored. Knowing he could trust Baihu, he completely shut of all of his senses and focused on working with his energy.
When he opened his eyes, Baihu still faithfully stood at his side.
Baihu bowed and reported, "I think the zombies about three kilometers ahead of us. I tried to push their speed but that's the limit."
Huang Wen got up and dusted himself, 'Well, can't be helped. How about our enemies?"
Baihu shook his head, "None of the zombies see them and I heard several shots from the town direction about five minutes ago and every once in a while I heard them again."
Just that moment, another sound of shooting battle was heard from Gutian town.
Huang Wen sighed, "I hope we're not too late. Come, we shouldn't waste time here."
He didn't wait Baihu to reply, he began to run toward Gutian town.
They increased their speed steadily and within five to six minutes, they already passed their army of zombie. But Huang Wen didn't stop there, he tried to reach the town. They kept on running and after another ten minutes they saw their enemies already moving to enter the town, but their progress was heavily opposed by several tens of soldiers from within the town.
The previous 10 soldiers who happened to be assigned to defend the entrance where Captain Wang Yun and his men wanted to attack, had made a smart decision. When they saw the army stopped, they used that chance to contact other units near them.
There were 100 men spread around Gutian town's defense line. With 10 men defending each point, it was a matter of seconds for Colonel Wen Liang's army to annihilate them. But they didn't have the luxury to assign more men, if they wanted to follow Huang Wen's plan to excessively push Colonel Wen Liang's army inside the town.
Now when the leader of this unit, saw their enemy's march delayed for some reason, he didn't waste time by watching the scene passively. He sent two of his men, one to contact the nearest other unit on their right and the other to contact the one on their left. Once the other units saw that no one try to enter the town from their location, they decided to leave their position to assist the defense on their neighbor. At the same time, they assigned one of their men to contact other nearest unit from their position.
So during the more than half an hour fight between Huang Wen and Captain Wang Yun's army, more than about 60 men gathered at that location.
Now, they were fighting to keep Captain Wang Yun's men from entering the town.
Even with the buildings around them, they began to lose men from time to time. Captain Wang Yun had his two armored vehicles and thousands men. It wasn't easy, but they steadily approached the town and Huang Wen's men were slowly losing their men and their grounds.
Although more men were coming to help, it was only few minutes before their number would be reduced so much that they wouldn't pose any danger to Captain Wang Yun's army. Captain Wang Yun would have no problem to enter the town and send his men to attack Huang Wen's main army from behind, while leaving one or two units to systematically clear the area.
Captain Wang Yun already saw it all in his mind. He was sitting on top of one of the armored vehicles, he smiled smugly as he send his men around.
It was when he heard another commotion from behind.
At first, he didn't pay any attention. His mind was focused on the enemy in front of him. But the commotion was getting even louder and now his mind began to notice the sounds of shooting from behind him.
He had some bad premonition about the commotion.
As Captain Wang Yun turned to look, his face turned ugly and it was turned even uglier when he saw what happened behind him.
There was Huang Wen, once again causing trouble among his men. This time he kept on moving and hid among his men. This time, he didn't fight alone. At his side was another person who looked just like him. Their appearance was so similar that they could be a twin.
Fighting together they were much more dangerous, none of Captain Wang Yun's men could hold them from moving around among them.
Captain Wang Yun growled, "What were those sissies doing? How come this bastard still alive?"
The more he watched, the angrier he was. Captain Wang Yun banged on the vehicle's roof with his riffle's butt to get the vehicle's commander attention.
It took a while, but since the commander knew Captain Wang Yun was sitting on his vehicle, once he heard someone banging on the roof of their vehicle, he knew it was Captain Wang Yun. Soon he opened the door to look for Captain Wang Yun.
"Hey, go to finish this annoying creep behind us. Use your guns and whatever you need to kill them. Don't worry about killing few of our own in the process. They're gonna get killed anyone if we don't kill those bastards.", said Captain Wang Yun while he used his thumb to pointed out Huang Wen and Baihu who fought behind them.

The man looked toward the direction that was pointed by Captain Wang Yun and nodded his head.
At the same time Captain Wang Yun barked to the men behind the vehicle, "Clear the way you bastards! Clear the way!"
The commander of the armored vehicle already back in, Captain Wang Yun could see the periscope moved around to find Huang Wen and Baihu. With satisfied look, he jumped off the vehicle. He walked toward the other armored vehicle, to get a good position to watch the battle. While the first armored vehicle was on its way toward Baihu and Huang Wen at the back.
Captain Wang Yun turned his attention back to the enemy in front of him. Once in a while though he kept on turning his head to look behind.
The fact that Huang Wen was still alive, made him felt restless.
The armored vehicle's commander quickly turned his vehicle back to the rear. He was one of Captain Wang Yun's trusted men. He followed any command without any question and didn't mind to kill people in doing it. If he had any compassion, it was dead years ago. Now, he could shoot a man on his head, without any hesitation.
He maneuvered his vehicle around to get into an ideal position. Since Huang Wen and Baihu moved a lot, it took a while for him, before he found such place.
"Yong. Wen Xiang. A Xiong. Get ready to clear the area. Shoot them two and anyone near them, at my command.", he told his machine gunners.
He watched through the periscope and waited for a short moment when Huang Wen and Baihu weren't moving. The only time when they were staying at the same place for a period of time, was when they met many opponents to fight with and used them as their shield at the same time.
But they wouldn't be able to do that now.
"Now!", the commander barked and that instant both the primary and secondary machine guns barked, spitting several tens of rounds per second.
No less than sixty men of their own, down like a ragged doll. The machine guns mowed anyone within that area without any discrimination. It took only few seconds before no one was seen to stand in that area. Only several tens of corpses and maimed men, writhing in pain.
The armored vehicle stayed there for another ten minutes. They watched for any movement through their windows and periscope.
There was no sign of Huang Wen or Baihu.
It felt like ages for them inside the armored vehicle. Although their opponent was only two men. At least one of them was seen alive when he supposed to be dead.
"I guess he's really dead this time.", said the commander.
A sighed or relieve could be heard from his crew.
"Give another rounds, just to make sure.", said the commander.
His crew obediently sent few more hundreds of bullets, aimed at the pile of bodies on that area. The commander didn't give an order to stop for another couple of minutes.
"Okay, that's enough.", finally he commanded them to stop.
By that time, any survival from the first round, were died for sure.
"Get ready to return to the front lines. Yong you keep your eye on that area for a little while though. Warn us if you see anything suspicious.", the commander calmly spoke.
"Understood.", the one called Yong replied.
The commander tapped his driver's shoulder and gestured for them to back to their previous position. They just began to move when the one called Yong shouted.
"Wait! Look! We get more companies!", he shouted in panic.
Everyone quickly turned to look at what caused Yong to shout in panic. They could see an army of thousands was marching toward their position. It was too far to see, those who have a binocular near them quickly grabbed it.
"What the hell?"
"Zombies?"
"Is that zombies? Isn't that a good news? We're working for their boss right?"
"Sarge, should we wait for them?"
The commander watched the coming zombies armies with conflicted feeling. Logically they were their allies, but somehow, to see them coming gave him some weird feeling of danger. He silently thought for a while and he realized why it didn't seem right.
The army from Fuzhou was busy at fighting the army from Ningde, they even withdrew their troop and let Captain Zhao Qing's allies to enter the town. If they didn't withdraw their army, then Colonel Wen Liang wouldn't have any problem at dealing with Captain Zhao Qing. It was suspicious to see them suddenly appeared in this area.
"No, we'll stay and get ready.", the sergeant's voice was grim.
It made his crew's scalp went numb with premonition. They had been working with the sergeant for a long time. Long before the changes and before they were assigned to man the armored vehicles. They learned to trust his judgment and instinct.
No one asked any question and with much anticipation watched the army of zombies moving closer and closer.
