They didn't waste time to check Nan An public school building where Chen Yao and Xia Yue family should reside. Using GPS it was easy to find the way to the public school, as usual there were no zombies on their way.

Nothing unusual about that, until they were getting closer to the public school.

There were probably thousands or tens of thousands of zombies in the road in front of them. They moved away when they sensed Huang Wen's presence, but apparently they didn't go far. From the way they saw it, it seemed the horde of zombies was surrounding the public school.

Six of them got down from the truck to watch the scene in front of them.

"Looks like there are many people lived in that public school and that's why this horde of zombies gathered here.", said Huang Wen.

"We better hurry, but the truck might be damaged if we used it to run through this many zombies.", said Ma Heng.

"Can't you drive them away with your presence or something like usual?", Tian Zhong asked Huang Wen.

Huang Wen didn't hide his presence at all and tried to focus his spirit to explode the pressure instead. Many zombies turned their head and moved away but they were still surrounding the school. Rather than ran as usual, they did avoid Huang Wen, but they didn't leave the area.

"Something weird.", said Huang Wen.

"Let's think about it later. They are still moving away from you. Lead us to the school, hurry.", said Zhang Tian Yi.

Huang Wen nodded and he began to run toward the school, while the other five followed him closely. Huang Wen didn't run at his top speed and make sure that none of them were left behind. The zombies moved away as they ran toward them, but soon the zombies returned to their position when Huang Wen and his friends passed.

"Someone must be controlling them.", suddenly Chen Wu Xuang said the idea that had been in their mind.

"Must be a strong demon then..., since I can't feel his presence at all.", said Huang Wen.

"Why is that? Doesn't it mean that there is no demon?", Tian Zhong asked.

"That's one of the possibilities, but the other possibility was that this one is a stronger demon who can hide its presence, just the way I had my presence.", Huang Wen answered.

"Oh...", said Tian Zhong.

Without words, they moved more carefully and then few minutes later they heard someone was shouting.

"Chen Fang !! Xia Bao !! I give you a chance to surrender !! If you both walked out of the school building with your hands bound by rope, I'll guarantee that no one will be harmed.", someone was shouting, persuading Chen Fang and Xia Bao to surrender.

"But if you stubbornly defended in there, don't blame me if I sent all of these zombies to kill you all!", that man shouted again.

Huang Wen and his friends were looking at each other, dumbfounded, the horde of zombies was led by human.

"Impossible... how that's possible?", said Chen Wu Xuang.

"Let's hide and get a good look first, it seemed he didn't realize our presence and those inside the school building still had some time before the zombies attack.", said Zhang Tian Yi.

Huang Wen nodded, quickly he reduced his aura, until it only closely surrounded him and his friends. It felt a bit weird to walk so close around zombies. Liu Wang Yun nudge them and pointed at a two story buildings across the school.

"Look, let's hide in that building.", said Liu Wang Yun.

Everyone agreed without much discussion. They just began to walk toward that building. While the man who led the horde of zombies repeated his threat everyone and a while.

Suddenly someone shouted back, "Shut up!! If you have guts why don't you come here and fight me!!"

"Ha ha ha... Chen Fang, why should I fight you? I could send these hordes of zombies and watch you killed in an instant, if I'm not interested in your wife, I'd send them days ago.", shouted that man back.

Now Huang Wen and his friends, knew why that man kept the zombies surrounded the school and not commanded them to attack yet. He didn't want Chen Yao's mother to be killed during that attack. Soon they heard Chen Fang cursed and swore at that man, who apparently named Wang Shi.

Wang Shi just laughed and then he shouted, "Hey people of Nan An, surrender, if you give Chen Fang and Xia Bao with hands and feet were bounded with rope. I will let you live to see another day. I give you time until tomorrow. If I don't see them by tomorrow, don't blame me to annihilate the entire town."

After saying that, Wang Shi strode away like a king, he walked toward an expensive looking car and left.

Tian Zhong whistled, "Fuiii... he had style... that bastard..."

"Shouldn't we use this chance to go to see them?", Liu Wang Yun asked.

"Hmm... there is no reason why we shouldn't be right?", said Huang Wen.

With Huang Wen led the way, it was easy to be passed all the zombies and went toward the school building, but without Huang Wen, it would be suicide. Perhaps that was why Wang Shi left them without caring for the world. After all perhaps there were hundred thousands of zombies gathered around the school building. They didn't try to break through the gate or the fences, they just loitering around the school.

It was truly a sight for those who guard around the fence and the gate, when they saw zombies split apart wherever Huang Wen and his friends walked.

One of them ran to inform their leader. In a short time, two middle aged men ran to the gate and watched the scene in awe.

"Who ... are you?", one of them asked.

Huang Wen politely bowed, "Master Chen, Master Xia, my name is Huang Wen, this is Zhang Tian Yi..."

One by one he introduced his friends.

"... we're sent to Nan An by Master Zhang Hu and Master Fan Zheng, to look for the family of her daughter's friend, Chen Yao and Xia Yue. To bring them back safely to Fuzhou to meet their daughter.", said Huang Wen after introduced themselves.

"Zhang Hu? Fan Zheng? Ah ha ha ha ha.... look I said it right? They'll be fine. Hurry told Yue Qing and Wang Rou, their daughters are just fine, they're with Zhang Hu, you remember Zhang Hu right?", Chen Fang shouted in joy, apparently many men behind him knew Zhang Hu as well.

One of them ran to the school, where women, children and the elderly, hid from the threat of Wang Shi's horde of zombies.

"Hey, hurry open the gate!", he said.

But Xia Bao held the man who was going to open the gate, "Wait ! Wait a minute, they need to explain first, why the zombies doesn't attack them? They could say they came from Fuzhou by Brother Zhang Hu's command but we don't know them. What if they're spies who are sent by that bastard Wang Shi?"

In a short time the excitement turned into suspicion, the men behind Chen Fang and Xia Bao now watched them with some degree of hostility.

Chen Fang who seemed easily trusted people, frowned and asked, "Brothers...., forgive us, but my brother here has good reason to suspect you. After all, we saw you walked through the zombies and they don't dare to attack you. If you're not servants of the demon lord, could you explain how such thing could happen? And do you have any proof from Zhang Hu or our daughters, to show that you're indeed sent by them?"

Zhang Tian Yi the oldest among them answered, "Its alright, of course it's understandable that you can't allow strangers to enter just like that. In fact Master Zhang Hu told us about Master Xia Bao's shrewdness and gave us several items to prove our identity."

He then took several items out of his bag and gave it to Chen Fang and Xia Bao, "This one belong to Master Zhang Hu and these belong to your daughters. I hope this would be enough to prove that we're sent by Master Zhang Hu."

"Look. isn't this our farewell give to Zhang Hu? And this one, my wife bought this one for Chen Yao when she left to Fuzhou.", said Chen Fang as he received the items.

Xia Bao blinked his eyes a few times and then said, "And this one, I bought it for Xia Yue..."

When the men behind them heard it, they began to smile, their suspicions disappeared right away. Huang Wen's little group arrival brought them hope, since now they knew they were not alone. Some of them imagined, since they came from Fuzhou, a big city, perhaps in Fuzhou, the government set a large base for survivors. They could go there and live in peace, while the government took care everything.

"Okay, Ah Deng Xiao Lang, hurry opens the gate.", said Cheng Fang excitedly.

"No, they haven't answered how the zombies doesn't attack them at all.", said Xia Bao.

"But these items...", Chen Fang frowned at Xia Bao.

"They have those items, which mean indeed they knew and met Zhang Hu and our daughters but doesn't mean they were sent by Zhang Hu. What if Brother Zhang Hu and our daughters were captured by the demon lord?", Xia Bao asked.

Chen Fang sighed, "... then I don't want to live in this world anymore."

Xia Bao's voice was trembled when he said, "We still have people who rely on us. How could we die now? Do you want Wang Shi took your wife?"

The Xia Bao turned to Huang Wen and his friends, "Brothers, forgive me for so suspicious toward you, it wasn't your fault, but rather the situation that made me. I do not believe someone like Brother Zhang Hu would be captured by those who called themselves the servants of the demon lord. However you too must understand the fact that the zombies doesn't attack you is suspicious. As long as you can explain it satisfactorily I will believe you."

Zhang Tian Yi nodded, "We fully understand, the reason why the zombies doesn't attack us, is our young friend here. During his journey, to save Master Zhang's daughter and your daughters, he killed a high level demon and absorbed his power. It is just some of our hypothesis, but we think the zombies could feel the aura coming out of him, and it frightened them."

"Or perhaps its was his strength... we don't know but we talked about it a lot and we think it was rather the fact that he absorbed a high level demon that zombies tend to avoid him. I mean each of us now, is at level 14 to 15 but still without him around us, zombies who still linked to a demon, still try to attack us.", said Tian Zhong joined in.

Zhang Tian Yi nodded his head, "Yes... by the way, this young man, helped us to kill and absorb low level demon. Since then, zombies who are not linked to demon avoided us, but zombies who are linked to demons still try to attack us."

"That's right, I think the fact that he killed and absorbs high level demon, is the factor that made the zombies avoid him.", Tian Zhong added.

The survivors from Nan An, listened with wide opened eyes. It was such a big news, all of them above level 14. Not only that, the youngest one among them, killed a high level demon. They didn't even know what high level demon is or what low level demons looked like.

"Boy... men from the big city sure are different.", one of them whispered to his friend.

Huang Wen with reddened face said, "Uncle, don't say that. Actually I was born and grew up in Tingdan village."

"Tingdan village?", Chen Fang raised his eyebrows, of course almost no one ever heard it, since it just a small village.

"Oh... it's just a small village, north of Gutian town.", said Huang Wen.

"Ah... that's pretty far from here.", finally they knew.

Chen Fang turned to the young men behind him, "See..., it doesn't matter where you're born and grows. Great men came from small villages not big cities. Liu Bei was born and grew up in small cities, the likes of Cao Cao was the one who was born in big cities."

"Stop talking. C'mon, opens the gate.", said Xia Bao.

"Ah... so you finally trust them. Are you sure you don't want to ask them another question?", said Chen Fang jokingly to Xia Bao.

Xia Bao just laughed it off, "If everyone as trustful as you, we're doomed."

They all laughed. Huang Wen thought to himself, 'No wonder Zhang Xuan, Chen Yao and Xia Yue became close friends. It seemed their father's personality are compatible with each other. If Fan Zheng has a daughter at their age, there will be four.'

'Four girls....', suddenly Youshe said it dreamily.

'Shut up you pervert! ', Huang Wen silently reproved him.

Little announcement? Spoiler?

For those who are frustrated by the mc's character. You might find the beginning of the change you want from him at Chapter 67. You can read it at my blog tomorrow (today is chapter 66).

It might take a bit longer to read it here, because this is the process of how I wrote in my blog and post here in RoyalRoadL:

1. I wrote on my blog. (I don't use word app., I directly write on my blog.)

2. I checked it with spell & grammar checker.

3. I update my blog.

And then I post the posts from my blog that already passed step no. 2, to RoyalRoadL one by one, sometime 4-5 times a day.

Currently, the last post in my blog, that already passed step no.2 is chapter 42.

I still post once, twice or more per day here in RoyalRoadL until I reached chapter 42.

I just finish writing chapter 67 (for tomorrow update on my blog). But I plan to keep on writing new chapters until the juice run dry.

I hope I have some buffers for future's update. Because when I have enough new chapters to post, I plan to re-read the story. So grammar checking would be on hold and hopefully I could do more grammar checking before the post in RoyalRoadL reach Chapter 42.
