Chapter 7: Leaving the Princess with a Parting Gift.

“I’ll never get used to seeing just how much you can shovel down your throat.” Naba looked at Turles with disgust.

“mph, 's a'mpressiv, huh?” Turles talked while eating.

“Don’t talk while you’re eating!” Naba protected herself from the crap leaving Turles’s mouth by scooting back from the table in her chair.

Turles grinned as he devoured the large tower of food without speaking further. Naba sighed. It had only been a day after Prince Vegeta nearly killed him, and here he was, eating in front of everyone like it wasn’t a big deal. Everyone on the planet heard about how he lost in one hit. Suspiciously, no one talked about how he was attacked right after coming out of the training room. She felt embarrassed eating with this monkey who didn’t seem to know what shame was, but it wasn’t like she had anyone else to eat with. Turles was an annoying brat, but he was good company at times.

“Time to go back to training.” Turles got up after finishing his meal.

“Don’t you think you should rest a little bit more? You nearly died yesterday, remember?” Naba advised.

“How many times do I have to tell you?” Turles shook his head as if he was lecturing a hardheaded child.

It pissed Naba off. Here she was showing some concern for this monkey brat, and he’s throwing it in her face by telling her she has nothing to worry about! “Fine! Why don’t you just train until you die? I’m sure you’ll get pretty strong then.” She turned her head away as she followed him out of the canteen.

“If I die, there’s no gain.” Turles shook his head, taking her words seriously.

“Nearly dying makes you stronger, but actually dying, doesn’t?” Naba couldn’t understand his freakish monkey biology.

“Haven’t you heard? People get stronger on the verge of death. They become capable of feats they would never have been able to before when facing imminent death. Saiyans take this to the next level. Our body imprints our injuries and experiences and instantly learns from them. We get stronger in the face of death as long as we don’t actually die.” Turles gave her a lesson in Saiyan Biology 101. “Well, maybe we get stronger after death too… It's not often that we can see people rise from the dead. So, you could be right.” He pondered.

“How the hell does that work?” Naba thought it was bullshit.

“Watch.” Turles grabbed a saibaman capsule as he headed inside the training room.

Naba sat at her station and watched the training room from outside. Turles grew six saibamen inside and waited till they all rose from the ground. Just yesterday, this crazy monkey brat could barely handle three saibamen, but now he was taking on twice that amount?! Naba carefully rubbed her wrist blaster as she waited to rush in to save the dumbass.

It wasn’t like Naba didn’t believe in Turles’s words. After all, she’s been with him since his power level was in the hundreds. She’s seen his insane growth in power from his constant near-death experiences. If there was anyone that believed the nonsense coming out of his mouth about the near-extinct race of monkeys being one of the strongest in the universe, it was her. Naba knew she couldn’t get half as strong as Turles did even if she repeated his exact actions. Disregard the fact that she’s a low-ranked engineer. A normal combatant of the Frieza Force couldn’t replicate Turles’s gains.

On the cameras, Turles ordered the saibamen to come at him with the intention to kill. Naba watched as Turles systematically took out the saibamen one by one. All of the bulbous-headed aliens charged him and attacked simultaneously. They surrounded him from the front, behind, and above. But it didn’t matter in the slightest for Turles. Turles effortlessly killed them without even bothering to dodge. They all died in one blow from Turles.

Naba zoomed in on Turles to see if he suffered any injuries at all from the blows of the Saibamen with power levels over 1,000+. She only saw his cocky smirk as he headed outside the training room. It was incredible. Although she didn’t want to stroke his ego, there was no other way to explain what she just saw. He struggled to face three saibamen just yesterday, and according to him, he gained enough power from nearly dying to Prince Vegeta to take on six saibamen the very next day!

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

“That’s impossible…” A gecko-looking alien said behind her.

Naba jumped out of her seat as she rose to greet her superior. She didn’t even realize he was behind her!

“Sir Zea! How may I help you?!” She responded with a perfect 90-degree angle bow.

“I have no business with you, Operator. I’m here for the Saiyan. I’ve confirmed the success of his first mission, and Lord Frieza has graciously decided to send him out on another mission.” Zea explained.

“Eh, I’ll have to thank Lord Frieza when I get the chance. I’m eager to prove my usefulness to the Frieza Force.” Turles pocketed another saibaman capsule.

“Well… Here’s your chance, Saiyan.” Zea handed him a scouter. “I’ve uploaded the coordinates of the planet into your spaceship. You should leave immediately.”

“Is this a solo mission?” Turles wondered as he put on the iconic scouter with glee.

“I’m surprised as well… Lord Frieza must expect much from you,” Zea said.

Zea checked his scouter once more and still couldn’t believe his eyes. How did this monkey raise his power level from the hundreds to over 1,500 so quickly? Maybe Lord Frieza’s intuition wasn’t off about entrusting this planet to the monkey. ‘I better be careful what I say to this monkey now that he’s stronger than me. Even if I’m ranked higher than him…’

“Well, I'll be back soon as long as there isn’t anything fun happening while I’m gone. See ya around, Naba. Don’t miss me too much while I’m gone.” Turles chuckled as he made his way to his spaceship.

“Who’ll miss who!? You’re the one obsessed with my training station!” Naba fired back.

“I guess you aren’t wrong, haha. I will miss that training room. Hopefully, this planet will be enough to entertain me while I’m gone.” Turles replied.

On his way to his ship, Turles passed by a familiar trio. A sinister smirk grew on his face as he made eye contact with the princess. “Oh, you’re still alive?” Princess Vegeta gave a haughty laugh. “I guess even low-class trash can get lucky every now and then.” He sneered.

“Princess Vegeta, it is my pleasure to make your acquaintance again.” Turles gave an elegant bow as he briefly transformed into his Oozaru state.

Turles vanished from his current position as his power grew to over ten times its normal state. His fist buried itself into the Princess’s gut. The Princess spat blood over his smiling face from the force of his attack. Turles reappeared behind the trio with his back facing them, still bowing. “I’d like to thank you for nearly killing me. I couldn’t have got this strong without you. See ya later, Princess of all Saiyans.” Turles chuckled as he continued his way to his ship.

----------------------------------------

“I-Impossible…” Vegeta held his stomach as he dropped to his knees in pure disbelief and pain.

“No… No way!” Nappa looked at Turles’s departing figure and then back at Prince Vegeta.

“How did he get so strong?!” Raditz added.

It had to be some sort of trick! Vegeta refused to believe that some low-class trash would overpower an elite Saiyan like himself. There was no way that scum who had a power level of only a few thousand could humiliate him like this! It must be because he was caught off guard! That’s all!

“Hmph. A lucky hit, that’s all. I’ll show that disgusting low-class filth the power of a Saiyan elite the next time I see him!” Vegeta promised.

“He won’t get away so easily on our watch!” Nappa nodded as he heard Vegeta’s words. A lucky hit made more sense than that low-class garbage suddenly becoming strong enough to hurt Prince Vegeta.

“We’ll show him the might of upper-class Saiyans.” Raditz had no issue disciplining Turles despite him looking identical to his brother. Turles wasn’t his brother, after all.

----------------------------------------

Turles let out a relieved sigh as he shot off into space in his attack ball. That felt great getting some payback on the princess. It was kind of hard not to hold a grudge against someone after nearly being killed by them. The princess was probably going to go crazy after this.

‘Instead of Cui being his rival, I might snatch that spot myself.’ Turles snickered before throwing the idea out of his head.

Turles had no interest in becoming Vegeta’s rival. He’ll leave that position to Kakarot. Vegeta was small potatoes in the Frieza Force somehow. At his introduction in the Saiyan Saga, he had a power level of 18,000. The only reasonable explanation Turles could figure for why Vegeta wasn’t as trusted as Zarbon, Dodoria, and the Ginyu Force was because Frieza knew or suspected his loyalty to him was false. Because Vegeta was actually stronger than all Frieza’s men, even at the start of Z. If you factor in his Oozaru transformation, only Frieza himself could take out Vegeta. With his Great Ape form, Vegeta had a power level of 180,000. This was even stronger than Captain Ginyu, who had a power level of 120,000. Frieza stated that he thought no one in the universe surpassed Ginyu in power, excluding Beerus, Majin Buu, his brother, and his father.

Turles could only shake his head at Toriyama’s foolishness. He made Vegeta out to be so weak when he could’ve reasonably destroyed all of the Frieza Force before the Namek Saga and during the Namek Saga as long as he kept his tail. Not that it would’ve helped much against Frieza’s absurd power level or Captain Ginyu’s body change or hell, even Guldo’s Time Stop, but still. Saiyans were bullshit, and Turles planned to become the most bullshit out of them all.
