I’m a Proud Member of the Frieza Force!
Chapter 68: The Tyrant's Return.

Chapter 68: The Tyrant's Return.

In the heart of Frieza's colossal spaceship, all of Frieza’s personal soldiers convened for their next mission. The holographic display bathed the room in an ethereal glow, revealing the intricate details of their target—Planet Prime. Lord Frieza looked rather pleased at the sight of them bowing beneath his feet. However, now wasn’t the time for this. Thanks to his loyal soldiers, Frieza had reached a whole new level of power incomparable to what he had before. Now, it was time to enact his revenge on Turles and regain his control over the universe.

A shiver ran through the veins of the universe as a formidable armada, an expansive fleet cloaked in the darkness of space, hurtled through the cosmic expanse. The army moved in chilling synchronicity. Each ship bore the emblem of the Frieza Force specifically. Not the universal symbol approved by Turles after he took over, but the original F logo. Their sheer numbers were enough to cast a foreboding eclipse upon any celestial body unlucky enough to cross their path.

Gleaming hulls reflected the cold, distant light of distant stars. As the armada advanced, the Planet Prime loomed on the horizon. The once serene celestial body, filled with cities and a hearty mixed population, was now surrounded on all sides by descending spaceships from the sky.

On the bustling streets of Planet Prime, a young child named Rhea laughed and chased after her friends, playing an innocent game of tag beneath the warm glow of the planetary sun. Their carefree laughter echoed through the air, blending seamlessly with the hum of everyday life. Rhea, with her tousled hair and bright eyes, ran away at full speed. She darted through the vibrant marketplace, her fingers grazing the colorful fabrics of the stalls. The air was filled with the tantalizing aroma of exotic fruits and the lively chatter of vendors haggling with customers.

"Gotcha, Rhea!" shouted her friend, Tal, appearing from the sky and tagging her with a playful grin.

Giggles erupted from the group as they continued their game. The world of children on Planet Prime was one of innocence, play, and study. The citizens lived their lives, free of any sort of fear. As the sea of spaceships drew nearer, Rhea and her friends paused for a moment, glancing up at the sky. Their admiration for the Planet Trade Organization's soldiers, their idols, shimmered in their eyes.

"Look, guys! It's the Defense Force!" Rhea's voice held a mix of excitement and awe.

Tal nodded, a spark of admiration in his eyes. "Yeah, they must be returning from another mission. I wonder what mission needed so many of them to go at once." Lila chimed in, "I don’t remember that many spaceships leaving the planet before…"

"They must have left at night time when we’re all in bed and sleeping." Rhea figured.

Lila and Tal both gasped momentarily, their eyes widening in understanding as they exchanged knowing glances. Then, in unison, they softly uttered an intrigued "oooh," their voices filled with realization. "I bet the soldiers were out there, fighting space pirates! Imagine the super cool battles they must have had, lasers shooting, kicking bad guys' butt, and getting space pirate booty! I can’t wait till I graduate from the academy!" Tal's admiration for the soldiers grew, and he couldn't help but feel a surge of pride, envisioning himself joining their ranks one day.

"What if those soldiers are part of an Exploration Force? They could have been exploring deep in space, charting new star systems, and jotting down new planets and stuff! I want to join the Exploration Force so bad!" Lila's eyes shined as she imagined herself as a mighty captain exploring the universe with her friends.

“What?! The Exploration Force? That’s gotta be the lamest team!” Tal turned to Lila.

“What?! How is exploring the universe lame in any way?!” Lila shouted back.

“You’re just traveling the whole time! I literally can’t think of anything more boring!” Tal argued.

“You’re so stupid, Tal! The Exploration Force does more than just explore! They need to be strong, brave, smart, and caring! Didn’t you listen to a single word when our teacher was explaining the different Forces in school?” Lila retorted.

“Well, I may not have been listening after she told us about joining the Defense Force… But that doesn’t mean I’m stupid!” Tal defended himself.

“Why are they just floating in the sky? Shouldn’t they be landing at Lord Turles’s Palace?” Rhea questioned, interrupting her friends’ argument.

“Weird…” Tal nodded in agreement. “You’re still it, Rhea.” Tal reminded her before flying off with a laugh.

In the vibrant marketplace and towering structures, Jarek toiled under the warm embrace of the planetary sun. His hands, calloused from years of labor, moved with a practiced efficiency as he went about his work. Jarek was a simple laborer. Jarek moved in the city, wearing a simple but sturdy uniform. The air was filled with the hum of activity, the sounds of machinery, and the occasional chatter of workers exchanging greetings and updates on their tasks.

Jarek's work involved tending to any chores that needed to be done across the city. He meticulously pruned the vibrant flora that lined the streets. The aroma of exotic blossoms wafted through the air, creating a fragrant smell that accompanied Jarek and those walking along the streets. Beneath the sun, Jarek bent down to pick up discarded litter. He repaired a broken vendor stall. It wasn’t pretty work, but he was proud to work in such a safe occupation. Compared to the other options, this was one of the safest and highest-paying gigs on the planet. The city was huge. There was always work that needed to be done at all times of the day—no excuse for him to be lazing around except on his mandated breaks.

Jarek occasionally glanced up at the sky as he worked, acknowledging the descending spaceships with a momentary pause. He wondered what they were doing, blocking out the sun. If they were going to land, they should be heading toward Lord Turles’s palace. That’s where all of the spaceships belonging to the military or tourists land and take off from. Jarek didn’t think much of it as he pressed down on a capsule and tossed it up in the air. He caught the tool that popped out from the capsule and got to work on maintaining the city.

On his break, Jarek took a moment to chat with his fellow laborer, a reclusive chap named Aric. Jarek, wiping sweat from his brow, nodded towards the descending armada. "What do you think they’re hanging up there for so long for?"

Aric stared at Jarek. "How the hell should I know? I know as much as you do.” That is a fitting response, in Jarek’s opinion. They weren’t anyone important, nor did they know anyone important. Their jobs were to make sure that everything was kept neat and running on Planet Prime. Jarek and Aric didn’t work on spaceships because spaceships weren’t a regular occurrence in the city. People who used spaceships were the rich, tourists, and those in the army.

"I mean, they have been up there for minutes. Do you think a whole bunch of tourists got lost or something?" Jarek wondered.

"Something probably happened at the landing pad. I mean, our planet ain’t the biggest planet out there. It probably ain’t meant for that many spaceships at once, and they’re trying to figure something out." Aric guessed.

"You think something’s happening at the palace?" Jarek asked.

“Nothing that should concern laborers like us,” Aric figured.

As they spoke, Zara, a young female co-worker, joined the conversation. Zara's eyes gleamed with excitement as she made her way over to them on break. "Hey, Jarek, Aric! Did you hear?! Everyone’s freaking out because those spaceships aren’t Lord Turles’s spaceships." Zara's enthusiasm was infectious, and she was always the first to dive into the latest gossip.

"Whose spaceships are they then?" Jarek asked her.

Zara grinned, twirling a strand of her vibrant purple hair. "Lord Frieza’s!" She pulled out a device from her pocket and showed them a zoomed-in picture of the F logo plastered on one of the spaceships.

Aric eyebrows pinched together. "What is Lord Frieza doing here? Shouldn’t he be ruling the other side of the universe or something?”

There wasn’t anyone who didn’t know about the Planet Trade Organization’s command structure. It was available for anyone and everyone to learn on The Hub. A lot of information about the PTO was available for people to read. If a person didn’t know something about the Empire, it was simply because they were too lazy to look it up for themselves or they didn’t have the clearance to find out more.

“I guess we’re going to find out…” Jarek guessed.

In the command center on Planet Prime, the atmosphere shifted abruptly as an urgent transmission alert blared through the room. The holographic displays flickered to life, revealing the emblem of Lord Frieza's army. The soldiers exchanged quick glances, tension mounting in the air. Officer Mariel, recognizing the severity of the situation, swiftly initiated the communication link. Lord Frieza's ominous visage materialized on the central holographic screen, his cold gaze seeming to pierce through the command center.

"I am Lord Frieza, the one and only Emperor of the Universe. You find yourselves under the mercy of my army, a force that could easily raze your precious planet to rubble." Lord Frieza's voice echoed with an unsettling calm

The soldiers in the command center exchanged uneasy glances, a collective tension gripping them. Mariel failed to maintain her composure, her body shaking at the face of that terrifying creature. "I offer you a simple choice," Lord Frieza continued, a promise of malevolence underlying his words. "Send a message to your monkey emperor and inform him that I demand a meeting. He shall come to greet me personally and relinquish his laughable claim to the title of Emperor of the Universe. Failure to comply will result in the immediate termination of your planet and all those residing on it."

The gravity of the situation hung in the air, and Mariel knew the soldiers under her command were grappling with the reality of the threat. The holographic transmission ended, leaving the command center in an uneasy silence. Mariel quickly assessed the situation and knew that Lord Turles had to be informed immediately. She barked orders to her team, "Get in contact with Lord Turles or anyone in the palace! Inform him of the message from Lord Frieza."

The soldiers feverishly clicked on their scouters, attempting to establish a direct link with Lord Turles or someone close to him. The urgency of the situation and the fear for their own lives and that of their families spurred them into action.
