“Now, this is how a Saiyan should train!” Turles rushed toward the three saibamen.
He caught the first one off guard with a knee to its gut. It spat up blood and saliva from the force of his attack, but Turles wasn’t finished yet. He elbowed the back of its head, driving it into the ground just as the second and third saibamen attacked him simultaneously. Turles took their attacks head-on—a blow to the back and a punch across the cheek, but he didn’t move from his position despite the visible damage done. He raised his foot and splattered the brains of the first saibaman over the floor of the training room by crushing it.
The remaining two saibamen rushed back in and began to attack him with everything they had. This time, Turles did react to their attacks. He didn’t bother dodging their attacks at all but inflicting the most amount of damage he could while he could. The second saibamen clawed his chest open. Blood shot out as stinging pain struck Turles but did not paralyze him. Turles smashed his forehead against the skull of the saibamen just as the third saibamen fired a beam after splitting its skull.
Turles was knocked across the training room with heavy injuries. He was bleeding, probably internally and externally. His ribs were probably broken from that beam attack and other fractures across his body. But he wasn’t out of the fight yet. Turles clutched his ribs as he looked at the third saibaman helping up the second one. The second one was holding its head, stumbling around dizzily.
This would hurt, but he wasn’t going to win by being on the defensive. Turles moved forward despite his injuries begging him not to. The third saibamen screeched as it gained some distance from Turles, leaving its buddy wide open. Turles’s fist penetrated the chest of the second saibaman, coating his arm and the front of his body in its blue innards.
“Just you and me now.” Turles turned to the third saibaman, who was now far more cautious.
It suddenly appeared in front of his face and threw a kick that sent Turles’s face to the left. Then it sped behind him with a punch into his back. It didn’t stop there, though. It constantly vanished and reappeared all around Turles, throwing punches, kicks, and claw attacks without stopping.
Turles’s moment came as the saibaman telegraphed its next attack. The last remaining alien balled its fist and rushed toward the bleeding and bruised Turles. Just as the saibaman’s fist sunk into the face of Turles, Turles’s fist crashed into its face as well. Both were sent sliding away from one another as a purple glow lit up inside the training room.
“You did well in injuring me enough. Now die.” The purple ki blast destroyed the final saibaman into pieces.
Turles lifted himself off the ground and began to float out of the training room.
“How can you torture yourself like this every day, week after week? I just can’t understand it. Not even Prince Vegeta and his attendants do something as foolish as this.” She looked at him in exasperation.
“Naba. You keep worrying about me like this, and I’ll assume you have a crush on me.” Turles joked as he floated past her, making his way to the medical room on his own.
“A stupid crazy low-class monkey like you! In your dreams, squirt!” She yelled after him.
“Haha, don’t try and hurt my feelings. We’re friends, aren’t we?” Turles chuckled before quickly stopping from the pain of his internal injuries.
“Kakarot?!” A familiar but, at the same time, unfamiliar voice called out to him.
“Sorry, you have me mistaken for someone else.” Turles looked at the trio in front of him.
It was certainly strange seeing these familiar characters as real people instead of animated drawings. Everyone looked real here, even himself. After living in this world for some time, he still couldn’t get used to looking at himself or others. He was looking forward to seeing how real the main cast looked compared to their animated selves.
“What business could you have with low-class garbage like this, Raditz?” Nappa, with hair, asked while looking down on Turles.

“H-He looks exactly like my brother,” Tiny Raditz explained.
“Oh, your brother is low-class trash as well?” Tiny Vegeta says.
“If you will excuse me since we don’t have any business with each other.” Turles didn’t have the energy to play with the little prince right now.
“Hold it, trash.” Tiny Vegeta stood in front of him. “Your power level may be pathetic, but you are still a Saiyan. Join me.” Ah, it was a recruitment offer.
“I’ll have to decline, Prince Vegeta. I have no interest in being one of your royal babysitters.” Turles flew over Vegeta’s head.
“A low-class piece of garbage like you dare to mock me?” A yellow beam of energy gathered in front of Vegeta’s finger.
“Better to die with my pride than lose it by submitting to a spoiled princess like you.” Turles chuckled despite the pain.
Turles could hear Vegeta laugh before he was pierced through the stomach with a beam. “Then die with your pride as a low-class warrior. Not like trash like you would have ever been useful to me in the first place.” Princess Vegeta and her attendants left the bleeding and dying Turles on the floor. Turles clutched his wound as he internally laughed, wondering what the hell he was expecting. Dying hurts a lot, turns out. Haha… Who could’ve known?
“Naba… Mind helping me out before I bleed to death…? I know you’re still there...” Turles called out to the secretly watching alien woman. “It would be best if you were quick about this too. Your crush will die in front of your eyes if you don’t.” Darkness was encroaching on him on all sides. He started to feel cold.
“Who is my crush!?” Naba roughly lifted him over her shoulders and flew to the medical room faster than he’s ever seen her move before. He didn’t even know she could fly.
“Ah, there he is. You owe me fifty pol!” One of the medics joyfully laughed.
“Damn, monkey! What took you so long to come in today compared to all the other days?!” Another medic cursed his luck.
“He had a bad run-in with Prince Vegeta. It held him up and would’ve killed him if I wasn’t there.” Naba explained in his place.
“It was his mouth, wasn’t it?” One of the medics guessed.
“What else could it be?” Naba sighed.
“What did he say?!” The medics were eager for gossip.
“He called Prince Vegeta a spoiled princess to his face when he was already severely injured from training with three saibamen.” Naba didn’t hesitate to air out his dirty laundry as he was placed inside the healing tank.
“That’s the suicidal monkey I know.” They could hear the pride in his voice.
“Wait, three saibamen? Didn’t he nearly die just taking on two saibamen not too long ago?”
“Yeah, that’s right… Was that a week or two weeks ago?”
“A week.” Naba shared.
“Huh? That doesn’t make sense.” One of the medics activated his scouter and scanned Turles’s power level. “His power level is reading at stable 1,000. While that should be enough to take on a single saibaman, there’s no way he could defeat three of them!”
“He fought like an insane person. Instead of trying to dodge their attacks, every time they attacked him, he would attack back at the same time. I don’t know why he could withstand their attacks better, but the saibamen were a lot squishier compared to him, even though they had slightly higher power levels.” Naba explained.
“It’s gotta be that crazy Saiyan biology.” The medics didn’t know what else to guess.
“To think he would refuse Prince Vegeta, who is already an elite soldier. Crazy monkey is crazier than I thought he was.”
“I heard the prince effortlessly defeated five saibamen at once without any injuries.”
“A far cry from this low-class warrior who struggled to defeat three.” He laughed.
“Well, I’m going back to my station. I’ll see this idiot in an hour.” Naba knew Turles’s schedule by heart now after being his operator for weeks.
Breakfast, training, healing tank, lunch, training, healing tank, dinner, training, healing tank, and then back to breakfast. This has been Turles’s schedule for as long as Naba knew the child. She saw him rise up from a child with a pitiful power level in the hundreds before becoming the annoying kid she knew now with a power level in the thousands. No normal soldier could grow this quickly, as far as she knew, but then again, she’s never seen anyone train the same way that Turles did. Maybe this was a feasible route for soldiers to quickly grow in strength even if they weren’t Saiyans.
However, she wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It was torture, plain and simple. Pure mind-maddening torture that Naba refused to believe that anyone would willingly sign up for. Every day, she saw Turles come close to death. Sometimes with a smile on his face, sometimes frustrated beyond belief. It was these conflicting experiences and the fact that he readily goes back after being healed up that Naba realized that such a training regime was only for the mentally insane. No sane person could be willing to face death so eagerly every day.
‘Why did this maniac have to get involved with my station…?’ She thought to herself.
