Chapter 13: The Monkey War.

Turles threw Guldo into the healing tank, much to the shocked expressions of the medics. Time Stop was an incredible get. It was a skill that Turles was planning to get before the Namek arc. This should help ensure that he doesn’t meet an untimely demise anytime soon. If he wasn’t a Saiyan, he’d also plan to pick up Ginyu’s Body Change technique. But that would be a waste when he had the body of one of the greatest races in the multiverse. Ginyu wouldn’t be an issue as long as he kept his loyalty to Frieza. Captain Ginyu was loyal to a fault when he could reasonably end Frieza’s rule just by changing bodies with him.

“T-Turles, you don’t seem to be injured, but is there anything we can do to help?” The medics were shaking in fear.

The Ginyu Force was the top force in the Frieza Force. They were the boogeymen that brought fear into the souls of every soldier. Lord Frieza trusted them more than anyone else in the army. So, seeing that some low-class Saiyan like himself took down one of their members. It was more than a shock for the medics.

Medics who have seen Turles enter this medical room day in and day out for nearly an entire year were more than shell-shocked to see him bringing in someone else for a change beside himself. Adding that the person was a member of the Ginyu Force was only topping on the cake. The cake of terror, that is. Turles laughed at their change in demeanor.

“Guys, relax. Our training just got out of hand, and my sparring partner Guldo let his guard down at a bad time.” Turles lied.

“O-Oh. That makes a lot more sense…” Turles could hear the medics all exhale in relief.

“I thought it didn’t make sense. How could someone go from being General Zarbon’s student to matching up to the Ginyu Force?”

“I just got him at a bad time. It was only luck, guys.” Turles falsely explained.

“Shouldn’t you be running then? When the rest of the Ginyu Force hears about Sir Guldo’s injuries, won’t you be punished!?” It sounded like they were worried about him.

“Accidents happen. At worst, I’ll be here healing up. At best, I’ll be offered his spot on the team.” Turles wasn’t too worried.

“I always knew you were crazy, but do you really not fear death?!”

“I won’t be killed for something like this.” Turles waved off his nonsensical worry.

“How do you know, though?!”

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

“All a soldier needs is power. I got plenty of that even in my tail.” Turles turned around and swished his tail back and forth.

“I will never understand how you function with that monkey brain of yours.” The medic sighed with a faint smile.

“Me either…”

“Were you dropped on a head as a child?”

“If I did, I wouldn’t be here for sure.” Turles would’ve probably ended up like Broly on that desert planet for decades. “Alright, guys. See you soon or see you later. I don’t know yet.” Turles walked to the door of the medical room to see a familiar trio.

“Ah, Prince Vegeta and your attendants. What an unpleasant surprise, I must say.” Turles gave a gentlemanly bow.

Vegeta blasted him with a yellow energy beam that knocked him back into the medical room. Turles laughed as he rolled across the floor. Vegeta really didn’t hold back with that one. He actually tried to kill him there!

“Did that get your panties in a twist, Vegeta? Can’t take a joke from a low-class Saiyan? Didn’t think an elite like you would get so irritated by the words of someone so far beneath you.” Turles held his breath and stopped time as Vegeta fired another beam.

This time it was aimed at his heart. Turles minutely shifted his position so that the blast would pierce through a non-fatal area instead of an instantly fatal area. When it was all positioned up, he stopped holding his breath and felt his insides burn. Turles’s laugh turned gurgly as blood came up from his throat.

“A miserable pile of trash like you should die like the insect you are!” Vegeta gathered energy for a third beam, only for him to be sent flying right next to Turles.

“That’s enough of that. I have an important mission for you all. Prepare to head out immediately.” Lord Frieza’s eyes made contact with Turles.

“S-Sorry, Lord Frieza. Thanks to Vegeta, I’m going to be a little late, but I’ll leave as soon as I'm fully healed to accomplish your will.” Turles crawled his way to the other healing tank.

“...” Lord Frieza simply sent a glare at the Prince of all Saiyans, who was giving a full 90 degree standing bow in submission.

Turles could see the sweat dripping down everyone’s body in the medical room. He dragged himself over to the unused healing tank as Lord Frieza exited the room inside his flying pod. The medics glared at the Saiyans as they helped Turles into the tank. They almost lost their lives due to these brainless monkeys!

“Sorry, guys. I didn’t think the elite Saiyan Princess had so little control over her emotions. You know what they say about women and their emotions.” Turles chuckled as blood flew out of his mouth. The healing tank started filling up, and Turles stared face-to-face with Vegeta.

“Your luck will run out one day, low-class scum.” Vegeta clenched his fist.

Turles gave him the middle finger, and he really didn’t like that. He could see energy gathering around Vegeta’s fist. It shook violently. Turles stared at Vegeta, daring him to do something after being given a warning by Frieza. Vegeta had his pride, but even he knew it was outrageous to defy Frieza’s will at this point. The trio of Saiyans left disgruntled even though they succeeded in teaching Turles a lesson. Turles happily accepted Vegeta’s boost to his power. He wasn’t going to fight him or the other two anymore in fear of affecting the timeline when they go to Earth. If they grew stronger due to him, it might mess up his plans for the future. Turles needed the Earthlings alive for the time being. There was some useful stuff he had to grab on Earth. Turles closed his eyes as he began meditating while waiting to finish up healing.
