Chapter 62: Bojack's Insanity!

Chapter 62: Bojack's Insanity!

Zangya crouched behind a smoldering ruin of a building. Her chest rose and fell rapidly, the bluish hue of her skin glistening with a slick layer of sweat. The chaos that had ensued after the Frieza Force's arrival still played in her mind, and she could still see the shocked faces of her crew. She had narrowly escaped the response attack of the Frieza Force. They were nothing but weaklings, but those weapons of theirs were something else! If it could affect someone as strong as Bojack, Zangya knew she didn’t stand a chance in hell.

As she walked through the aftermath of her crew’s actions on this planet, thoughts swirled within her mind. Bojack will be pissed as hell at her escape. She imagined his stupidly strong power bursting from his body before killing her for her cowardice. The risk of returning to help them was idiotic. With the Frieza Force now aware of their presence, aiding her comrades meant endangering her own freedom. For a moment, the thought of her fellow pirates in captivity tugged at her conscience. They were, after all, of the same species, the last remnants of an extinct race. A pang of camaraderie flickered within her, but it was soon extinguished by the harsh reality of their cruel leader.

Bojack was no one's ally; his cruelty and immense power had been evident since the day Zangya joined his crew. Their shared heritage was a tenuous thread that held them together, but Zangya had no delusions about the loyalty of their ruthless leader. It was both the fear of Bojack that drove her to escape and it was the constant threat of death, a shadow that loomed over every planetary raid. A life under Bojack's command was a life on a razor's edge, a life where every failure or perceived cowardice resulted in punishment or death. And so, as she knelt in the shadow of a ruined building, Zangya made a decision. She was done with Bojack, done with being his pawn. She yearned to explore the universe, to revel in its chaos and disorder without the looming specter of death hanging over her neck. Even the Frieza Force seemed more interested in capturing them than outright killing them.

With a newfound determination, Zangya whispered to herself, "Screw Bojack." She was breaking free. The universe was vast and unexplored, a playground of opportunity. She had no intention of wasting another moment under Bojack's control. Zangya was a pirate by choice, and her choices were her own. With a final glance at the ruined planet, she turned and walked away, leaving behind the mayhem she had participated in. For the first time in a long while, Zangya felt a glimmer of freedom, and it tasted sweeter than any victory she had ever known. Hopping in their spaceship, Zangya blasted off into the dark expanse of space, her spaceship cutting through the beautiful sights. The distant cries and turmoil from the planet below faded into nothingness, and she couldn't have been happier. As a member of Bojack's crew, she had learned the value of self-preservation, and she had no intention of allowing herself to be captured by the Frieza Force or killed by Bojack trying to save him. A rare smile tugged on her lips, and Zangya leaned back in her pilot's seat.

She couldn't help but smirk at the thought of her comrades being ensnared by the Frieza Force's technology. To Zangya, the fate of Bojack's crew was of no concern to her. They were strong, no doubt, but the universe was a treacherous place, and only the most resourceful survived. Even Bojack’s power was no match against those weird guns. The stars outside her cockpit window seemed to twinkle with malevolent glee as they bore witness to the lone pirate's escape. Her ship disappeared into the darkness of the cosmos, leaving behind everything she had known. It was a pirate's life, and Zangya intended to live it to the fullest, consequences be damned. She also needed to get her hands on one of those slowing guns. If Bojack can be affected by it, anyone could.

Bojack, Bido, Bujin, and Kogu were in a predicament, to say the least. The Frieza Force's temporal rays reduced their powerful bodies to slow, painful crawls. Their movements were agonizingly sluggish. Yet, what could have been a desperate situation for most was met with amusement by Bojack. The arrogance that had earned him his reputation was on full display. He relished the sensation of his own helplessness, a sadistic grin playing on his lips. A rare feeling he hasn't felt in a long, long time. It was as if the energy-sealing handcuffs and temporal energy rays were nothing more than a minor inconvenience.

As the Frieza Force soldiers circled around the incapacitated pirate crew, Bojack couldn't help but taunt them. "I do hope you have more than just this to subdue me." he jeered, his voice dripping with mockery. "Although I do have to admit, I like these new toys of yours." The Frieza Force soldiers, though intimidated by the incredible power of Bojack's crew, maintained their discipline. Captain Rekon barked orders, keeping his soldiers focused and ready to relocate the criminals. Their sleek and polished weaponry gleamed ominously, firing non-stop pulsing beams at the four.

As the soldiers prepared to bring the captives on board, Bojack decided it was time to show them the futility of their efforts. He began to power up, a surge of bright green energy surrounding his body. His skin shifted from its original blue hue to a fierce shade of green, his hair transformed into a fiery red mane. With each passing moment, his power grew exponentially. The ground beneath him trembled, and the air quivered with his immense energy. The Frieza Force soldiers, their temporal energy rays still aimed at the pirate crew, watched in awe and trepidation as Bojack very slowly underwent his transformation. Bido, Bujin, and Kogu were equally immobilized but shared in their leader's amusement. As the transformation reached its apex, Bojack's eyes glowed with an eerie green light, and a cruel smile stretched across his face. "I think this will be fun." he very slowly declared, his voice laced with a sinister edge.

With a single, explosive motion, Bojack lunged forward, his movements fluid and powerful. His green-skinned hand reached out, a mere touch enough to end the lives of the Frieza Force soldiers. Despite the slowing effects of the temporal energy rays, Bojack's power was unmatched. The Frieza Force soldiers watched as he slowly neared a soldier who was grinning at the jacked pirate. He slowly walked out of the way of the turtle-speed green behemoth while mocking him. However, Bojack’s maniacal smile was still present.

The soldiers watched an incredibly slow green dome begin to spread from his body. Captain Rekon frowned as he ordered the men to make distance. The soldiers kept their guns aimed at the pirates as they made distance from Bojack’s body. It continued to grow at a slow but steady rate. Evidence of its destructive power was evident from the soil, dirt, and ground that was being erased as it made contact with the barrier. Even the other pirates were doing their best to flee from it. Was it possible that this crazy fool was willing to kill his own men?

Captain Rekon shrugged. It had nothing to do with him. One less pirate was better for him, after all. In fact, he even ordered some of the men to knock the other pirates into that expanding energy attack. They attempted to do something once he made the order, but thanks to the Chrono Nullifier or Slow-mo Ray as they called it, they couldn’t perform it in time. The slow and relentless contact with the barrier caused their forms to disintegrate, crumbling into particles of ash. Limbs dissolved into grey dust, and the rest of their bodies followed suit, succumbing to the annihilation. Their existence was reduced to mere fragments, scattered remnants that mingled with the air, as the field continued its inexorable advance.

Captain Rekon frowned as the field continued to expand and expand. Then his eyes widened as he realized what this crazy bastard was planning to do. “Get to the ship immediately! He’s trying to blow up the whole planet! This is officially out of our hands! Keep those damn rays on him as we’re leaving, or we’ll die faster! Move, move, move!” He shouted.

Meanwhile, Bojack's slowed laughter echoed in the air, a sinister expression of his madness. His green energy dome continued to expand slowly but relentlessly, consuming everything in its path. The ground beneath it disintegrated, buildings crumbled to rubble, and even the air itself seemed to distort and twist under the pressure of his power. He stood at the center of it all, his eyes filled with maniacal glee. As the Frieza Force soldiers boarded their spaceship, Captain Rekon made sure they kept their Slow-mo Rays trained on Bojack. They couldn't afford to let him gain even a moment of freedom, or their death would come infinitely faster. The soldiers' voices crackled over their comm devices as they reported the situation to their higher-ups. Fear, excitement, and relief resonated in their words, a stark contrast to the disciplined front they usually maintained. It was clear that this situation had spiraled out of control, and they were racing against time to escape the impending cataclysm.

Back on the surface, Bojack's power continued to swell, the green dome expanding inexorably. The planet itself quaked beneath his might, and the devastation was beyond comprehension. The once-thriving city was now erased, consumed by the advancing energy field. Bojack seemed entirely unaffected by the destruction he was causing. If anything, he relished it, his laughter ringing through the apocalyptic scene. The Frieza Force spaceship ascended into the dark expanse of space, narrowly escaping the impending doom. The soldiers on board watched as Bojack's energy consumed the planet below in no time, a cataclysmic explosion of power and destruction.

Captain Rekon clenched his fists, his face a mask of frustration and anger. This mission had gone horribly wrong, and it had cost them dearly. The loss of the planet they were sent to aid was completely gone. The reports he’ll have to write on this were going to kick his ass for hours… ‘Sorry, the criminals were too strong even with our equipment. We had to flee to save our own lives and let him go scot-free.’ Reckon scratched his scaled head in frustration. He had no clue if Abo and Kado would be able to deal with this now.
