Chapter 48: Bonyu vs Trunks!

Bonyu was caught off guard as the powerful young boy attacked her. She struck the boy across the face as he buried his fist into her gut. It was obvious from the way blood spat out of her mouth that more damage was done to her than him, but she didn’t let up as she continued exchanging blows with the enraged ghost. The injuries started to pile up on Bonyu, but despite her being far weaker, she still did her utmost to land any physical blow on the boy. No matter how weak it was, it seemed good enough for her as long as it landed.

The dead souls watching couldn’t understand Bonyu’s plan, but they focused more on the screaming young teen instead. In the months of being in Heaven, the Dragon Team has long since learned of the boy’s origins. They wished they could help or do anything to make him feel better, but they were all dead! Goku visited Hell to see if Piccolo was there, but nope, it was just Vegeta. So, there was a chance that they still might be revived. That gave Vegeta’s son some semblance of hope.

Half an hour passed of Trunks basically dominating Bonyu. Letting off all of his frustration and anger these past months. He stood over her crouched form in Super Saiyan. Trunks was breathing heavily, tired, and exhausted for some reason. Maybe he let off more than just some pent-up anger… Just as the ball of ki was growing in front of his palm that he was holding in front of Bonyu’s face, the Dragon Team shouted.

“Trunks! Look up!” Gohan warned.

“Huh?” Trunks looked up.

Bonyu rushed forward, a red ball filled with an extreme amount of energy formed in front of her palm and in front of Trunk’s abdomen. His hand was outstretched beyond her, and it was impossible for him to defend himself at this range. “Blast Ball.” It blasted the tired halfling far into the distance. The oldest of the Crusher Force raised her hand in the air.

The giant ball of energy separated from Trunk’s Super Saiyan energy was manipulated by her. This was Forced Spirit Fission! All of that overwhelming power was absorbed directly into her body. The band holding her ponytail in shape burst from the influx of power. But instead of falling, Bonyu’s hair began to rise, standing on end along with gaining a flame-like appearance as it flowed in the breeze.

Her thick body became more defined, and a visible red aura surrounded her body. This was Bonyu! A Bonyu who has taken on the energy of a Super Saiyan! She temporarily struggled to handle the great power flowing throughout her body as she sought to make it hers permanently. Her muscles were inflating and deflating in her efforts to master the raging energy.

"You undeniably exhibit remarkable power, particularly considering your relatively young age," Bonyu mused, her gaze fixed upon Future Trunks. "In comparison, even my children, who are undeniably gifted, cannot hold a candle to your strength. It is imperative to note, however, that they are considerably younger than you. The fact that they harbor the latent potential to ascend to such extraordinary levels of strength eventually is a testament to the inherent prodigious nature of Saiyans. It is, indeed, a testament to the boundless potential that resides within the exceptional warrior race."

“What did you do to me?!” Trunks demanded, pointing at her.

"I have no reason to disclose that." Bonyu teleported to the weakened Trunks.

He couldn’t react as she kneed him in the gut, dropping him to his knees. She grabbed him by his hair and began pounding his face in with her fist. Blood splattered on the ground from every impactful punch. This boy was horribly lacking in manners. A firm punishment was required to get him on the right track. It also helped Bonyu frighten the others into place by making an example out of him.

Even when Trunks was no longer capable of doing anything but whimpering, Bonyu continued to beat his swollen, bloodied, and bruised face until a blue-haired ghost jumped in between the two of them. “Leave my son alone!” She yelled.

“That’s enough, Bonyu. You’ve won.” Goku, in Super Saiyan, declared.

The others were ready to move in if she planned to continue. Bonyu decided to cut her losses. She gained quite a lot in that small scuffle. Her mission ultimately lay in ensuring the completion of the academy and making sure it ran smoothly, not fighting the inhabitants of Heaven. Now that the fighting was over, Bonyu used Spirit Control to heal herself.

Most of the energy she stole from the boy was used to bring her back to perfect health, albeit a little tired. Bonyu went back to the soldiers of the Construction Force and stood at the ready. The look in their eyes became far brighter and more respectful when glancing at her. Strength was one of the most important traits of a member of the Planet Trade Organization.

“Mother… I’m sorry I couldn’t save us… I’m sorry I couldn’t destroy the androids… I couldn’t save anyone… Not Mister Gohan, not myself, not the future, not anything! I’m a failure! A weak failure that can’t do anything!” Trunks broke down into tears as he buried himself in Bulma’s warm embrace.

Bulma bit her tongue as she gently rubbed her future son’s head and allowed him to air out all of his grievances. She sent a vicious glare at Bonyu. Although she didn’t know the relationship between Bonyu and Turles, she knew enough that they were on the same side and stood for the same things. That was enough for her to bury her hate for the both of them. If Bulma were still alive, she would do whatever it took to build something capable of destroying them.

“Hm? Bonyu is Turles’s wife, I think.” Goku rubbed the back of his head.

“You think?” Krillin looked at his best friend in disbelief.

“They have four kids.” Goku shrugged.

“Married then.” Yamcha nodded. “I couldn’t imagine…” Yamcha suddenly stopped talking as he felt a dangerous glare freezing his body into stone.

“It doesn’t matter what their relationship is.” Tien brought them back to the subject at hand. “They’re planning to take control of the universe. We can’t let someone as terrible as Turles do that. We should stop her now while we still have the chance.” He spoke.

“Baldie makes a good point.” Yajirobe nodded in agreement.

“If anyone is to take control of the universe, it can’t be that villain.” Master Roshi spoke up.

“Dad…” Gohan looked up at his father.

“If she’s willing to marry someone as evil as Turles, she can’t be that good of a person herself!” Krillin desperately tried to convince Goku.

“Fine…” Goku’s friends finally convinced him.

Although he was a little disappointed when he first saw Bonyu fighting Trunks, he was more than a little excited after seeing her use Trunk’s power against him. Goku was amped to try and avoid being drained just like him. He would finally get the fight he wanted with a member of the Crusher Force.

But two other ghosts came up to her first. One was dark-haired, and the other was blonde.

“Can I help you?” Bonyu politely asked.

“If we don’t stop you now, you’ll only get stronger later, right?” A handsome, fair-skinned young man questioned her.

“I suppose that’s one way of looking at it.” Bonyu didn’t like the look of this young man.

“What if I want to have a little fun now?” He grinned at her.

Bonyu’s scouter clocked him in at a power level of 17, but she couldn’t feel his ki at all. It was quite strange. Even if someone masked their ki, it wouldn’t be absent like this. It would just blend in with the animals and plants around them. She didn’t know what to think of this young man.

“I’m free enough to accommodate you for a fight if you’d like, but remember, I have no interest in hurting you or those you care about.” Bonyu didn’t forget her precarious position. “Is this acceptable, Goku?” She looked toward him.

“Yeah, that’s fine.” Goku nodded, secretly wanting to fight her himself.

On Planet Yardrat, he only got to spar with Turles’s children. The Crusher Force wasn’t interested in fighting with him. It kind of bothered him being shorted out of a good fight. But the kids weren’t weak.

“I don’t know who you are, but I don't really care either. All I know is I'm suddenly dead and pissed off about it. Seeing someone alive like you just waltzing in here doing whatever they want makes me jealous.” He chuckled.

“That’s understandable,” Bonyu told him. ‘If you’re a child, maybe.’

“Then get ready! I ain’t going to be holding back, lady!” The man wearing a double R logo on his shirt dashed forward.
