V2 Chapter 9: A lazy day.

V2 Chapter 9: A lazy day.

Today was said to be a lazy day. How lazy? Silas was just zoning out on the floor. Staring at the ceiling fan. It's spun a total of 5,151 times now. Silas looked at his stats. What will Silas do today? The chaos that had happened the other day at the university's training grounds must have changed a lot of things for people.

Just sit around and laze maybe? Or will he go do something? He did gain another 10 levels. From a recent dungeon that he did. A casual run that wasn't that bad. So another 50 points. 20 points in magic. 20 points in AGI. 10 in STR

Hidden Classes. Need to see the Association to see how it works.

Sorry that's my limit cause the Gods who observe this world are not willing to give you answers. You have to work for it ><

There was a few choices but nothing caught Silas's eye. The Hidden Classes were interesting, Silas was going to make his way to the Hunter Association anyway. He was going to see how 151 was holding up. Silas got on his sports bike, heading over to the association. Seeing the S-Ranks who were present with Chairman Hargrave. Fitz was present too, he was walking beside Margen.

"Ah. Silas. I thought you were having your lazy day?" Hargrave greeted, which surprised the other Hunters.

"Apparently I got a chance to change my classes. So I wanted to see what's new. But I also should go say hi to 151. He must be bored." Silas went over to 151 who was writing the details on the reports. Placing it on the stack to his right, where it listed entire weaknesses of various enemies as per the reports.

"Hey, 151." 151 glanced over to Silas. A nod.

"How may I assist you, today?" Silas took a look at the reports, it seems that the damage attributes of blunt, slash and pierce are already playing an influence to how his Familiars fight. Vizel was an all rounder, but Lugasa and Guren were mainly slash and blunt. No pierce attacks. Not physically anyway.

Krieg, was focusing on blunt with his kicks but pierce with his ranged. Alec and Mitchell were slash with their vampire claws and their pistol was set to pierce damage.Silas could see that the main issue would be enemies that have a resistance to slash. Not that it would nullify attacks completely but it halves the attacks if one is not careful.

This made Silas think about combat choices entirely. In terms of weapons he's got enough for all three damage attributes although he would need to readjust them later on. Come to think of it, Ace was visited by one of 5th Bellwitch's angels.

The system will adjust the weapons of the Gates Set according to your level.

The Hidden Classes have been unveiled at the Association because of their blessing.

Along with Cold Cage's Supreme God, Satanael who has crafted a few hidden Classes for you to use.

Lucius of Kael's world has also given you a class.

Kael Webster has given you access to a few more classes that you can take a look at.

Silas headed to the class change counter. The receptionist shot off a smile as she gave him the interface.

"Oh. It seems that some of these classes aren't normally available to most Hunters." Silas looked at the menu.

Available Classes.

Mage Apprentice Assassin Intermediate Grunt Sentinel Sergeant Unranked Soldier Combat Prolwer Cryptic fighter Red Mercenary Weapon Orchestra Cerulean Wolf Scarlet Dancer Sanguine Tears Vehement Combat Master Achromatic Rose Picturesque Vendetta Null Grunt Carmine Lament Bloodshed Champion Formless Blade Velvet Murderer Hueless Massacre Stygian Emissary Colourless Soldier.

Silas looked into the details, achromatic rose was familiar to an extent. It was basically a class that was similar to the Lord of Thorns but that was something Silas didn't think about it. The others? They were... Unique to say the least. Silas could see all the details and the benefits but the system also gave him a chance to see the weakness.

Each Class Came with its own combat doctrine. Weapon Orchestra increased affinity with all weapons but the drawback being, one must constantly change their weapon or suffer a drawback of an attack bouncing off. Cerulean Wolf was meant for brawlers but it came with a craving issue. The kind of craving that would require to consume food at given periods. Failing to eat at the allotted time, then one will suffer a half strength issue and magic costs twice the MP. Sanguine Tears was... Was messed up if a normal person thought about it. Increases bleed damage, but it requires that a body part of the target killed is to be held in hand. Red Mercenary was strong but it requires payment and if meeting with a Cerulean Wolf, instant cause of anger and be in a heightened sense of combat that will increase fatigue and deplete stamina.

Carmine Lament was difficult in the sense that when allies die in front of you, it increases your combat power but the drawback being you don't get good sleep. You have to relive those things forever until a class change is given. It was mainly a trade off, the bigger the power the higher the trade. To be more accurate, each of these classes are contracts with a certain deity. Bloodshed Champion was merely to be a champion clad in battle but losing a battle or retreat was not an option.

Stygian Emissary was obviously something that the God of Death, Etana's beloved had designed. It was a class that focused on eliminating enemy targets at high precision. To reap their lives away. The price being the essence of the enemies that died. Knowledge absorption is increased and class spells don't use MP but rather a separate meter itself. The Stygian Emissary uses essence as a medium to unleash its class powers.

Silas would take it. Stygian Emissary.

The Stygian Emissary.

This class was made as a result of Death's Governor who wished to see if anyone would take it.

Focusing on hunting enemies.

Using deception to confuse the senses.

Special Combat Techniques.

Including using the Stygian Creatures to make the fights be easier.

The class has four skill trees.

The Shadow- A shadow wolf that carries a blade in its mouth. Can be outfitted with different weapons.

The Shadow focuses on deceit, granting the Emissary power to fade away from the senses to strike foes at their weakpoint.

The Wrath- A pixie dragon that follows from behind. It may be small but it is still a dragon, the Wrath skill tree focuses on beating enemies into submission with high intensity. Breaking the will power of enemies stacks more power.

The Harrow- The Creature itself, is a humanoid who is known as the executioner. Scars cover his body, but the Executioner carries a Dane Axe. The Harrow skill tree sacrifices a portion of health to increase damage power, defense and agility. The Executioner focuses on taking the attacks for the Emissary.

The Last Skill Tree is the River.

The River is a duality. The river may be calm but it may also be a destructive force to harm those that instigate it. A skill tree that is filled with passives with conditions to use.

Silas accepted it, as he felt the pressence of the Pixie Dragon named Yrvad, the shadow wolf named Zyx and the executioner named Zerx. Zyx and Zerx seemed to be friendly with each other, with Zyx getting head scratches from Zerx while Yrvad seemed content to spin around in its bubble.

Stygian Emissary, Silas had been given 5 points to put into the skills. Placing it to Zyx, Zerx and Yrvad's activation cost. Leaving two more points for Silas to put into the The River. Which was to grant him a slight absorption increase with his attacks and the last point was to HP recovery. 0.5HP recovery per second.

The Stygian Beasts will fight by his side when he needs it.

The Gates Weapon set has been integrated with Stygian Emissary.

The Lord of Thorn's knowledge has granted you greater understanding of Stygian Emissary.

The Stygian Emissary's three companions are related to the Ancient of Seasons.

Yrvad is Bayran's descendant.

Zerx is Assim's brother.

Zyx is Lopt's descendant.

It has been revealed that Zerx is Asim's brother and fellow Ancient of Deliverers.

This class was revealed because Death's Governor believes that you have the best mindset to use this class.

Silas was nodding as he finished picking out the class, then seeing Jensen coming back with the Paladins from the Guardians. They were talking to him, trading jokes. Giving him encouragement where Silas looked at Chairman Hargrave who went over to talk to Jensen. Whatever they were talking about, Silas was going to think about it later.

So much for his lazy day, Silas headed over to check out the details on a dungeon. There was an F-Ranked Dungeon that needed one more person to fill up the headcount. It was a newbie team. Silas went over to the association agent who checked the details and informed the team that they have someone to fill up the head count. It will be a good chance to get used to the new class.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

As Silas made his way there in a truck with the other F-Ranks. Their phones were ringing with a notification.

'Dungeon Convergence event. All Hunters that are nearby are going to be redirected.'

"Get ready rookies. We'll need to start working to help out with the civilians." They heard on the intercom as the truck pulled up to the Dungeon Convergence location, it was the streets downtown. They stepped out and they'll need to keep going for a bit.

"151."

"Yes, Lord. I've dispatched Nightwing to help give recon." Silas looked up to see the three Nightwings flying through the sky, firing down gunfire from the sky. Silas readied a carbine in hand, loading the magazine. Pulling the charging handle.

"Hey newbie?" Silas went off first.

"Damn it! Don't try to be a hero! Get back here!" The agent shouted, Silas turned back as their eyes met. Seeing the faint crimson glow as Silas went on ahead. Seeing the centaurs, elves, dark elves and griffons that came out from the Dungeon. Panic was ensued as an ocean of people running away from the area. Running into the fire, Silas was not hesitating as Zerx, Zyx and Yrvad made their appearance. Yrvad was striking the griffons head on, unleashing white flames against the griffons. Zerx swung his dane axe at the centaur, cutting its head off cleanly. Wearing a horned helmet. Bare chest that had scars over it. Zerx roared while Zyx pounced over at a group of elves. Biting the grip of a black sword, cutting through the elves with a few swings.

Silas kept on firing his rifle, hearing a scream from the left. Switching his rifle out for a katana, Silas leaped over to see a father using his body to shield his child from attacks by the elves. Silas flipped in the air as his eyes darted around to mark the targets.

'Katana Skill Activated : The Third Movement, Dragon Dive.' An instantaneous draw as all of his targets took the hit, but it wasn't enough to kill them. Merely damage them. So they were C-Ranked in terms of power scaling. This might take some time. Silas sheathed the blade and readied another attack of dragon dive as he was still in the air. Enough to stagger them, Silas spun downwards as he cut down the elves.

"Quickly, go and run to the Agents!" The father grabbed his child, running off without looking back. Silas readied his pair of Gates Magnums with Midnight Squall appearing out of nowhere. Landing in an empty space, Silas was firing off the Gates Magnums, the piercing aspect injured the limbs of the monsters. The Griffons targeted him, diving from above with their dark elves that rode them. Unleashing elemental spheres that were tracking Silas like heat seeking missiles. Silas began to hover as he moved to the side, staying close to the walls as the spheres crashed into them. A quick cast of magic to dissipate the impact it had on the buildings.

Then taking aim, firing off a few shots where he could. Focusing on bringing their attention to him. Silas heard a screech, it meant that Midnight Squall has already loaded itself with a charge. A quick reload as Silas rolled to the side, dodging a centaur charging into the wall. Silas fired off a few shots to the head, blowing it off cleanly at the 5th shot. An axe swung to the left, he countered it by using the Gates Magnum in his left hand. Right hand snapping to the centaur that was responsible. Filling it with lead.

Another screech, Silas was going to have to work faster,he was going to borrow Coffin Dancer's powers.

'Sovereign Skill : Lead Storm. Fires three shots of randomly elements into targets. Five magazines will be spent. Mana consumed : 40.' Silas flipped the magnumas as he jumped on a car. Holstering the magnums to his thigh, a deep breath as he marked the targets with his eyes. He only had 5 seconds to confirm his targets.

'Draw.' Following the prompts, Silas drew the magnums. Blasting away shots that were a mix of elements. Light, wind, fire, darkness, ice, water, electric, gravity and even a few debuff shots. Hearing another set of screeches. That was his cue, Silas leaped back to Midnight Squall. Tapping the coffin, as missile ports opened up from the sides. He's got four charges. Marking the targets until all four charges were spent.

The missiles launched from the side, going upwards. The outer shell exploded, as more smaller missiles appeared to chase down the monsters ahead. Buying Silas time as he had the three Stygian Creatures hunt down the others. Giving Silas a chance to absorb the essence where he looked at a skill.

'Class Skill : Sharpened Blades. Consumes 100 essence. Increase sharpness at Thorn for 60 seconds.' Silas looked at the essence that he had collected, roughly 200. Activating the skill as Silas ran into the eye of the storm. The chaos that was ensued as he used a Class Skill.

'Class Skill : Emissary's Call. Aggroes enemies with a 20% chance of debuffing them. Debuffs will scale according to levels. Higher leveled enemies will have a chance to negate the debuff. 10 MP' Silas used it, his aggro was able to reach them but the debuffs had failed. A centaur charged at Silas. Silas blocked it with the katana, but due to the strength difference. He was sent flying to the back. Where he could see a family trapped in a car.

'Nightwing, provide Aerial Cover!' The Three Nightwing Valiants flew above him, beginning their gun run while Silas ripped the car doors open.

"Alright come on!" The family rolled out quickly where Silas turned to take an arrow to his back.

"Keep running! Don't look back!"

'Poison Status Effect : 10 HP 5 seconds' His health was chipping away, Silas took a potion to keep his health up but the oncoming onslaughts were making it difficult. The civilians were right behind him but he needed to hold his ground.

"Coming through!" Silas stepped aside as he watched a Hunter bulldoze through them with his halberd. Magic rained from above in full force.

Seeing Chairman Hargrave who was standing in front of the civilians.

"Focus on the rescue!"

"151!" Silas called as 151 leaped above, slashing down a centaur with his saber.

"Will you alone be enough?"

"Yes, Lord. The others are focusing on rescue. Please take a rest." Silas went over to Hargrave's side.

"Good work. Running into the fray. My agents were complaining about a newbie who ran straight into the fight without listening to orders. I'll be sure to tell them it's okay if it's you. You managed to hold them off with your current build."

"Not a good thing when people still died, Chairman."

"Will 151 be enough?"

"He will be. I've let his shackles loose." Silas said as an agent passed a bottle of water for SIlas to hydrate himself with. Where 151 charged in with his saber, cutting dozens of centaurs at once. A griffon tackled 151 from the side, where 151 raised his left hand to stop it. Purple lightning formed over his hands. A gentle push. Smiting the griffon with the purple lightning. The Rouge of Valor was showing his prowess with the blade.

The Rouge of Valor's swordsmanship was lethal and the danger he showed was something that most would not think about. The other Hunters paused, watching how 151 fought alone.

"Hunters! Agents! Do not let them past that line where the Chairman stands! Fellow Familiars, follow my lead! Let us show these insults what it means to step out of their home!" 151 roared as the Hunters, Agents and the Familiars felt the power surge. The Skills 'Fear of Opposition' and 'Roar of the Last Commander' had activated. The dark elves fell from their panicked griffons, their magic casting was failing. They were trying to run, but 151 would not let them make it any further. Standing in front of the Dungeon Convergence, where a named Dark Elf appeared.

'Yelrisa. Dark Elf chieftain. HP 50,000' Silas looked at 151 who stood in front of Yelrisa.

"You dare to harm my kin! You will p-" 151's Azterian glare was enough to cause the dark elf chieftain to fall to the ground.

"How d-" 151 swung his blade right through the nape, his other hand held Yelrisa's head. The body falls limp and the head was in 151's hand, where he walked on over to Silas and Chairman Hargrave. The chaos was unleashing itself, but 151 did not seem bothered by anything. The Hunters, Agents and Familiars turned the entirety of the opposing force into nothing but mince meat.

Kneeling before Hargrave and Silas.

"I hope that my actions are satisfactory."

"There are still humans trapped in the vehicles. I'll have the Agents and other F-Ranks deal with it. Hm?" The Dungeon Convergence brought forth minotaurs, centaurs, high elves and high dark elves that made their appearance. Their numbers were swelling, outnumbering the Hunters at a 50 to 1 odds.

"151, call the others." 151 nodded, standing tall as he sheathed his blade.

"To the other Familiars. Our duty has been given. Protect the civilians, eliminate the enemy. Honour to my brethren."

"Victory to my kin!" Loud marching and a warcry was heard as Troopers, Horsemen, Goliaths, Daemon Punishers, Void Dancers appeared. Following it up with the other Familiars. Lugasa and Guren were stretching their necks. The Orions were readying their sniper rifles on the targets. The Gladiators readied their shields and pile bunker spear cannons. The AS Users were readying their machine guns and railguns.

151 raised his hand then gesturing the soldiers to move forward. Not a warcry, pure silence as the horsemen pierced the dark elves off their griffons Freeing their spears as the troopers took out shovels. Bayonet charge against the minotaurs that tumbled from the pain. The Troopers climbed above with bayonets to pierce the head. The Void Dancers used the lightning to pave their way through the centaurs, separating their human torso and their horse bodies. Daemon Punishers went in with their machetes. Flames adding on to burn through the flesh and melting the armor.

Lugasa was clawing through the minotaur's flesh, ripping its heart out as he took a bite.

"Come on!" Lugasa was on the prowl, the crimson werewolf was burning through their bodies like they were nothing. Guren charged in with his fists, as the Bellesk smashed the griffons to the ground. The Arakhai with their insect wings took to the skies, firing their revolvers while the Vittins carried their plasma weaponry to cut through the enemies. The sniper fire from the Orions were stopping the advancing monsters as the other Orions joined the fight. Firing their shotguns to break the horde. The ones with LMGs had taken up positions to maintain suppression. Snipers focused on the spell casters. Not granting them a chance to get their attacks ready.

The Gladiators took on the minotaurs in close range combat. Using their thrusters to dodge oncoming attacks, then using the pile bunkers to tear through their hide. Leaving holes in the bodies of the minotaurs. The AS teams were moving to aid in the suppression.

151 stood in a resting position, hands behind his back.

"Reznok, divide your people into three attackers with one archer from behind. Guren, take the initiative break them! Orlen take up to the skies join Nightwing in providing supporting fire! Orions! Advance with Void Daggers and Daemon's Bane! Gladiators pull back to recharge your pile bunkers. AS Users focus on the Griffons!"

"Sir!" They roared in agreement to 151's tactics. The huge numbers from earlier was being cut down to size. Alec and Mitchell were handling the rescue work, using their powers to phase through objects to make things easier on their behalf.

The dungeon portal began to crack, this time. Unveiling a large beast. It was a colossal golem. It's size rivaled buildings, and the firepower of Silas's familiars would not be enough. Silas then pulled out a crystal, it was Seijuro's. Shattering the crystal as people watched cherry blossoms falling to the ground. A tall masked figure who wore a floral kimono made their appearance. Accompanied by a wolf and a falcon.

"What's the target?"

"The golem. How much would I need to pay you?"

"10 million." Silas passed a card where Seijuro pulled out a card reader, swiping the card with it.

"It will be done." A blade flew up from below and reached to Seijuro's hand.Taking his stance, Seijuro took a deep breath. Then running at the golem,as Seijuro made his way to the golem itself, the Familiars pulled back. Grabbing whatever humans that were along with them.

Seijuro reached point blank range, and this time drawing the blade. To everyone else it was one draw, Silas on the other hand. Could see the blade being swung 500 times. Seijuro kicked the golem's head causing it to stumble to the back. Returning back to Silas's side. Then sheathing the blade itself.

"It is done." They see the colossal golem be cut into simple stones that one could hold in their hands. The drops were numerous as well.

"Thanks Seijuro. I might go broke if I continue summoning you."

"This is a discount. In this world there are Familiars that will fight for you if you pay them. Though most of them pale in comparison to me in terms of price and power." Seijuro said as 151 walked on over holding a bottle.

"I was able to procure some Eastern alcohol. I believe it is called Sake. Something that you're familiar with?"

"Thank you 151. You are considerate." Taking a nice sip from the bottle, Seijuro exhaled the heat from his body. Dropping the blade as he took out a small bowl, pouring it for his wolf and falcon to have a taste.

"I thought I'd seen the full extent of your abilities.. But now I see that I'm merely seeing the surface of it.. What kind of Familiars do you have?" Hargrave asked.

"The best anyone could ever ask for." Silas said as he shot off a smile to look at the other Familiars helping the trapped civilians. Bringing the injured ones back. The Troopers were sharing their medicines with the Hunters and paramedics who were in need of materials to use as catalysts for their spells to heal the injured.

"A total of 52 civilians dead. 530 injured and 50 safe. 12 Hunters dead while the others are injured. I apologize, Chairman." 151 said.

"It's fine. I'll have to greet the families personally."

"Would you mind if I do it for the Hunters who've been slain and injured? I'd like to grant them compensation and looking at the loot that the dungeon convergence had given... It would be worth to compensate them as well." 151 said.

"Why is that?"

"It is my habit as a Commander. I've sent troops to death and had to be the ones to inform their families of what had happened." 151 said as he took off his peaked cap. Where by the Suicide Division members did the same. The HDF members took off their helmets as a sign of respect.

"I understand. I'll leave it to you." Hargrave went over to deal with the agents. Silas on the other hand took a moment to sit down, he felt his sore muscles complaining about the fact he overworked his body this time.

The Agents and other Hunters took note as the Stygian Beasts sat by his side, ,with the wolf resting on his lap.

"Thanks Zyx." The pixie dragon perched over to Silas's shoulder, nuzzling his cheeks.

"Thanks Yrvad. Zerx. You're Asim's brother?" Zerx nodded.

"Do you want to go see him for a bit? I can let you two have a short duel with one another in my domain."

"Thank you master, but I am too weak to face my brother." Silas respected that opinion but things will be done for later. With this, Silas and Hargrave's friendship had been known but what else would there be?
