V2 Chapter 7 : The Meeting.

V2 Chapter 7 : The Meeting.

Silas looked at the Chairman of the Hunter's Association, the famed master of the S-Ranks in this room. The man only known as the Elementalist of Demise, Chairman Hargrave. The man curled a smile to Silas, with his neatly trimmed mustache and beard. Fitting for his age and despite that, his hair was still fine. In fact it was glorious enough to be said that this middle aged man was an old fox.

"May I see your Familiars?"

"Come, my Familiars." Silas Familiars made their appearance with exception of Ferno, Iacus and Donovan. Their presence was enough to cause the air in the room to be suffocating to the ones who weren't prepared. However, the Guild leaders and Chairman Hargrave were fine. But the same cannot be said to those outside and a few familiars. Cynthia watched as her 9 tailed fox leaped into her arms, trembling at the sight.

"Lower your intensity.." The intensity lowered as Cinder was in her human form, made her way to the 9 tailed fox.

"I'm sorry did we startle you little one?" The fox bit Cinder's fingers, but Cinder kept smiling.

"It's okay. I understand you're scared." the fox let go of Cinder's fingers, where Cinder stroked its head. Cinder was still wearing her usual red dress with the eyepatch to her eye.

"Vita. Honey, why are you so shy?"

"I'm shy cause you might just kill me!" Vita shouted as he hid behind Margen's leg.

Hargrave took out a gauge to have a reading on the Familiars. Seeing the gauge explode in his hands, which ended up causing a bit of smoke that caused the sprinkler system to activate. Bayran pulled out an umbrella for Cinder while Barakas was just enjoying the sprinkler system pouring water over her.

"Well. Silas. I could use a work out. Mind humoring this old man for a bit?" Silas put on a mask as his hair turned white.

"So you're the mysterious guy who stopped the Lamia attack when the Dungeon Convergence happened. Why hide it?"

"Standing out too much is a bad thing. But if I show it to people even my Familiars have deemed to be worthy. Then it'll be fine. I'm not that great with magic, but I'll try my best to keep up."

"Heh, look at this kid. You've got some guts boy!" Hargrave's roar caused the room to shake as blades of wind made its way to him. Silas drew a shield to take the hits, it was strong enough to cause his feet to skid a few meters back.

"My dear students. This may be more fun. So why not join in. Silas, call out your best Familiars!"

"Vizel! 151! Ace! Victor 91! Viking 13!" Vizel step forward to face Cynthia with the Redemption Zero Kai.

"I look forward to testing my skills with you." Vizel bowed to her.

"I look forward to this fight. Please don't hold back." Cynthia said as her armor formed over her, the Samurai of the East but with the demonic style head piece and mask.

151 readied his saber to face against Margen. Margen had his grimoire's ready.

"I am known as Commander 151. Pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"You're not much of a magic user are you?"

"I am not very smart with it. So I hope by watching you use it in this fight. I get to learn a bit more." Margen nodded as he materialized his robes, getting ready for a fight.

Viking 13 made his way to face Hofnier, putting his rifle and pistol aside.

"Not going to use your guns?" Hofnier asked as he put on a pair of gauntlets, and his lion helmet.

"This is a spar, so I prefer to be fighting on even terms at least. I'm not that great with hand to hand combat." Hofnier began to laugh as he looked at Viking 13.

"Well, you're strong in terms of raw power. Now let's see what you've got!"

Victor 91 was facing Beniya who was stretching his neck.

"Can we like not fight? I'm feeling a bit lazy right now." Beniya said while cracking his hands. Victor 91 readied his dagger.

"Sorry, but I'd like to spar with the Crimson Demon." Beniya's hair turned red as a furcoat was hung over him, drawing out a dagger.

"Coincidentally I like daggers too. So let's go!"

The two groups began their assault. Silas was heading into it with a mace to block out the attacks sent by Chairman Hargrave, elemental wolves of a variety. They were leaping right at him, taking them out one by one with a mace was easy but the absurd number of them charging at him was the biggest problem. They were relentless, coming at him all at once. Silas's left hand wielded a battle axe to swing. Having two weapons helped to even the odds a little.

Silas used some magic to buy him time, using the elements to cloud his blade with a variety of elements. Then following it up by casting multiple vines to strike at Hargrave's elemental attacks. These wolves were born from elements and their weakness was the corresponding element. Silas needed to concentrate on countermeasures but using the vines were merely to buy him time for another strategy as Hargrave snapped his fingers at the vines that were getting closer to him. It's been a while since Silas struggled and his understanding of this world was shallow.

Vizel and Cynthia clashed blades, the longer odachi vs a tachi. Size was an issue, but when one looks at it objectively. Vizel's stature and Cynthia's stature suited their blades well. They were testing each other's strengths, Vizel may have the upper hand but Cynthia's technique was more of a reflective type. She was reflecting the attacks back, and with her nimble movements? That was pushing Vizel back but Vizel's technique as the 7th Vizel the Rose of Guilty was not to be trifled with.

A fast sheathe. A foot forward, waiting for Cynthia to close in.

'Rose of Guilty, First Blade : Sinner's Pay' A swing that was faster than the naked eye can see, unleashing a strong gale that was headed towards her. Cynthia blocked it, only to be sent flying to the walls. Where the wall behind was cracking.

"I missed." Vizel said, then sheathing the blade again as Cynthia imbued mana to her tachi as she sheathed it. The two of them drew their blades at the same time, the gale clashed with the ice elements from Cynthia. The collision unleashed a mist that blanketed the area, but the pair kept going close. Despite the mist they were attacking each other with the same attack but at point blank range.

151 charged after Margen that began to use elemental spears to strike at him. The spears missed him but they exploded when it got within a proximity. Now that was interesting, 151 was coughing.

"I never thought about timed elemental projectiles. Something to add to my strategy book." Then 151 vanished into a lightning bolt, Margen raised a barrier, but the saber had pierced a chunk of it.

"Imbued it with lightning, so your body is like a full on electric conductor. Are you human?"

"I was a human but when I became a Familiar for my lord, my powers changed. I never understood mana that well!" 151 said as he used his cape to shield him from the explosion. Then charging straight at Margen who avoided it by a margin, a bit of his hair was cut.

"Ah, sorry about your hair." 151 ducked as his hat was shot, causing it to fly off where seeing Margen point a finger gun at him.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"Sorry about your hat." 151 chuckled as he went after Margen again, this time at faster speeds. Margen could barely keep up but his grimoires would take the brunt of the attacks first. They went at it like a pair of cats trying to maul each other's heads off.

Victor 91 was facing Beniya in a battle with their daggers. Their clashes led to a number of sparks shining through. High speed slashes and stabs, countering each other carefully. Their timing was right down to the milisecond as they were mirroring each other's movements perfectly. Not even Silas's eyes could keep up.

91 readied his lightning. The black and white lightning clashed with Beniya's white and black water. The two elements were synergizing and they were getting to its best form. Not breaking or cracking, they were conduits for one another. Where 91's black lightning was overpowering the black water, the white water will be stopping Beniya's black water. Countering one to make sure the other was not overpowering. All that was left was to see the daggers skills.

Hofnier and Viking 13 were trading blows. Matching one for one. Their legs were not moving but their upper bodies were punching each other without any hesitation.

"I'm amazed you can keep up."Hofnier remarked, as they kept on with their slugfest. A strike to the jaw from both sides as they pushed each other back.

"Sorry. I'm not used to it." Then Hofnier went for a tackle, lifting Viking 13 off the ground. Charging to the wall, Viking 13 clasped his hands together and smashed Hofnier's back which caused Hofnier to let go of Viking 13. Not before another charge that instantly threw Viking 13 to the wall. Viking 13's head pierced through the wall. Where he could see the night sky above him.

"The sky's pretty nice to look at." He said, before feeling something grip his leg. Then pulling him out, Hofnier threw Viking 13 to another wall. Viking 13 flipped as he took on the recoil to his legs. Then springing off the wall as he punched Hofnier's chest. Sending Hofnier out the wall.

Silas turned to the four Ancients.

"We'll need a better arena!"

"Of course." Asim snapped his fingers where the environment changed into Silas's domain, the Midnight Wind. Where it was an empty space with the world being made completely of clear glass.

"The glass is strong enough to take blows from many attacks. So don't worry. We won't be damaging the Association Building. If there's one thing I've noticed. Is that you're all too worried about destroying the practice room we were in. Fracture. Fire off a fully charged railgun." They watched as the M-Frame appeared, the titan charged up the rail gun. Unleashing a single shot that left a huge damage to the building but not enough to break it.

"The floor is also designed the same way. And the floor repairs itself fast." Fracture fired another shot, where they see the floor cracking and the broken pieces of glass floating all around them then it got sucked back in. As if nothing had happened.

"How considerate of you. Then I suppose we'll go all out! Loren! Come join us!" Loren let out a sigh as he joined in where Ace finally stepped in.

"Start with buffs. The usual kind."

"Ace!" Ace's Dragon's Roar halted Loren's buffs for a moment. They were feeling the concussion but it was only for a few seconds. Loren continued with his buffs as Ace charged after him with his Reaper Rifle, swinging it in blade form. Where Loren blocked it with his fan. Their eyes were glaring at each other.

"You saved my men's life. Thank you."

"They were good, but you're the best!" Ace said as he put more force into it to push Loren back a step. Loren may have stumbled but as another swing went down, Loren blocked it with his hand.

"Naive!" Loren folded his fan, going for a stab to Ace's chest. Ace's other hand took the blow, seeing the fan pierced through his palm. Headbutting Loren back causing Loren to skid on the ground. Cracking the glass as he watched Ace pull out the fan and throwing it back at Loren.

"Why aren't you throwing my fan to me through my head?"

"You're an opponent that I respect. I'm not going to use anything cowardly." Ace said, throwing his explosives aside. This time swapping to rifle mode. Seeing Loren float as four metal hands floating by Loren's side, with blades appearing by his side. The two groups resumed their bout, with Loren and Ace striking at each other the blades and metal hands were striking Ace.

Ace responded by going at it with blade mode, striking through the hands and the blades head on. Breaking through them as he went after Loren who was being pushed back just by the fan.

"Now let's have some fun." Ace grimaced at the thought, swinging his Reaper Rifle's sword mode the best way he can. Fighting through to form, the swings were erratic on purpose. It was to keep Loren occupied in the fight.

Hofnier and Viking 13 were going all out. The ground began to crack at every strike that they had, even if it did repair itself constantly. It was still taking quite a bit of abuse. Their bodies were holding out just fine in between blows, Silas was facing off against Hargrave. Hargrave began to unleash more elemental beasts at Silas. Just how much mana did Hargrave possess? He's able to conjure enough to push Silas back. Silas then used a spear, throwing it beside Hargrave. Reappearing by the side as he swung a heavy blade at Hargrave who stopped it with his cane.

"That's good but I am the one who taught Loren how to face enemies with just the cane."

"Tch." Silas was pushed back with ease.

Beniya and Victor 91's daggers were going faster than light, clashing as they grazed each other during the attacks. Chunks of their armor began to fly around, 91's mask was breaking a little bit but so was Beniya's helmet. The lethality of this attack was no joke, it was meant to be lethal.

Cynthia and Vizel were on par with one another, Vizel's armor was being damaged but Cynthia was in a bad shape herself. Her armor took a beating far worse but she's still standing. Margen and 151 were still fighting a sword against magic was difficult but 151 was enjoying this fight far more than he should.

The bout between them lasted for hours with no clear victor. It seems that Silas was complacent, thinking that the Guild Leaders were weak. His Familiars had taken quite the damage.

"It's a stalemate." Silas said as his familiars sheathed their weapons.

"Had a good workout my students?"

"He's an S-rank if he can keep up and his Familiars? They're very strong." Margen added on to Hargrave's words.

"I'd like to propose a deal." Silas said where Hargrave raised his eyebrow.

"What kind of deal?"

"I've got two identities. One as Silas Glenn and the other as this. If you have Hunters or people you want me to get rid off. I can do just that. Only if you have the proof that they're just terrible people. I know the Association has some tough Hunters that work for the underworld. Get proof and I'll handle it myself. Besides, no one will recognize me anyway." Silas said as they see face distort to a face without features.

"I suppose it must have been you that scared the crap out of Mister Ross? He's been so terrified that he's now in an asylum. He confessed all of his crimes and he paid back all the victims." Margen said.

"You're one scary guy." Hofnier said.

"Same goes for you. If someone threatens your Guild members. I'll handle it. All I ask is that you help my brother Jensen Glenn improve with his work as a Hunter. I can protect my own family if someone does anything. I'll have some of them join the SDU. Even the basic Trooper over there can taken on a single B-Rank monster solo and an A-Rank Monster in a squad of four. 151, I trust you may arrange this?"

"Of course lord. I already trained my successor and will be here along with the original Suicide Division. I will prepare the teams to go into the Dungeons with the Hunters. Do you want to take a commission rate?"

"Give them a preferential figure. Anyone asks. Tell them it's because the 5 Guild Leaders have helped in expanding our business." Hofnier checked his phone.

"Can you start right now? One of my guild's members... The daughter was kidnapped." Hofnier said as he clenched his fist.

"Final Judgement." The white robed angel with four wings appeared behind Silas.

"Yes, Lord?"

"Hofnier. Do you have a photo?" Hofnier showed Silas the photo of the kidnapped person then Silas looked at Final Judgement.

"A penthouse. The building is nearby. 50 enemies. 1 hostage. Hunters. B-Ranked."

"Hofnier, do you want to crush this group entirely?" Hofnier gave a nod.

"Viking 13, have your squad ready. Give Hofnier another mask.Let's maintain anonymity." A rifle was passed to Viking 13.

"Switch to your Covert Gear. No guns. Machetes only. ROE is simple. If they're related to the targets, Hofnier confirms it. Then kill. Take it slow. Limb to limb." Daemon's Punisher squad Viking put their guns away, drawing out their machetes.

"Hofnier, Viking will be at your command. Have a good hunt, Lord." 151 said with a bow as Silas vanished.

"Does... Did he... Did he just vanish?" Cynthia asked.

"Ah yes. If you were to ask about his speed. Think of him running at the speed of light. Now, Hofnier. Viking will listen to you. The mask that we've given you distorts your voice and it hides all of your features. We'll offer this mask to all of you as well."

"Why is that?"

"I'm sure you've all been in situations where you just want to wreak havoc but can't due to your public image. This mask distorts your features. You won't look like them, you'll look like this." 151 said as they looked into the mirror. 3 piece black suits that were beautiful to the eye. Along with their hair turning white. Eyes glowing red.

"Wow... This is..."

"Aren't you too trusting with this?" Margen asked.

"Of course but you see. Final Judgement has already deemed you capable allies. If you were a threat. We wouldn't be having this conversation."

Silas was with Final Judgement who brought him to the target location. A high rise building where he could see the dozens that were moving about.

"Thank you Final Judgement."

"Enjoy your hunt, Lord." Silas landed on the side of the building, he was thinking about this. To use magic? To cut them down faster than they could see? Was he feeling lazy tonight?

Actually.. Yes. He was feeling lazy tonight, drawing out the katana and using the Ancient of Fall's sword technique. The Shattered Leaves. Silas leaped upwards a fast draw of the blade. Running in to cut them all down, including attacks that passed through the walls. Stepping through it to see a girl's HP and MP being shown. She was a Hunter with the class 'Silent Crow'. An advanced stealth class, Silas grabbed her and headed back.

Was he looking at another incident of Spataro or was there something else going on here?
