"Kyren, there are three steps to joining the Selection Guild or perhaps the high-tier guild," Hiro explained, while considering his perfect explanation.
"The first step is to obtain at least one Star badge from the Arramaya's Legacy Guild. They are the officials who organized this program in our realm to ensure a smooth process and provide guidance," Hiro continued with a little bit of worry. "But we can't get it directly from them; we need to enroll in the one and only school in the entire realm, the Sky Academy. They will teach us a lot there, like the fundamentals of combat, the best-suited role for us, and much more. After we graduate, they will award us a Star Badge based on our achievements and final ranking." Hiro's face started to lose confidence.
"Why have you suddenly become sad, Hiro?" Kyren noticed.
"Well, Kyren, this is the only school available in our realm... so... the qualifications to enter are really hard, and I'm not sure if we can qualify," Hiro sighed and continued. "There are much better people than us, and I don't think we can compete with them."
Kyren patted Hiro's shoulder. "You know what, Hiro? We won't know until we try."
"You're right, but there's also an entrance fee, and if we fail the qualification exam, we won't get a refund. Our money will be wasted," Hiro said, sounding uncertain.
"I don't think it's going to be wasted. The time we spend earning money for the qualification exam is also part of our training, isn't it?" Kyren reassured.
"Hmm..." Hiro still wasn't convinced.
"Hiro, I may not know the kind of people you're worried about, or much about this world, but seeing your efforts and your determination to achieve your dreams, I believe you can make it. You have a good heart. Just trust yourself and be true to who you are; I think everything will be fine," Kyren said, offering words of encouragement.
Hiro smiled. "Do you really think so?"
"Yes, and I can see you're physically fit to become a warrior. After all, you've carried a lot of sacks of rice," Kyren joked around.
They laughed, lightening the mood and infusing the atmosphere with excitement once again.
"So Hiro, How much it cause for the Entrance fee for the Academy?" Kyren asked.
"It's around 5 Silver, so if the two of us need to earn at least 15 Silver? 10 for our entrance fee and 5 for other expenses because I heard that living around Arramaya City costs more than here in our town," Hiro said.
"Then starting from now, let's do more jobs here until we save up 15 silver. Do you think people here will hire us to do extra jobs?" Kyren asked.
"Of course, they see me as a hardworking boy here, so they will surely give us an opportunity," Hiro joked around.
...
"Ok so what's the next step Hiro?" Kyren asked.

"Well, after we get our Star Badge, we can apply to aspiring guilds that share our vision. The top guilds often recruit to merge or absorb smaller guilds or even establish them as their branches if they see potential in those small guilds. Alternatively, if we achieve at least three starred badges, we can start our own guild and do the same. I've heard that in Sky Academy, the top-ranked alumni are granted a three-starred badge, so we really need to go to the Sky Academy." Hiro explained.
"I see it seem a pretty long process but it's a great and organized system around here." Kyren said.
Hiro started to doubt again. "Yeah, and it's really hard. According to the news about the previous batch of students, around 4,000 took the qualification exam, but only 900 passed. And out of those, only 35 graduated." Hiro said.
"I see..." Kyren began to sense Hiro's loss of confidence. It was indeed a daunting process, almost feeling like an impossible road ahead.
They took a moment of silence, each lost in their own thoughts.
...
"Do you think we can make it?" Hiro asked Kyren
"You know, Hiro... I don't know what happened in my past. I don't know if I'm an adventurer or maybe a warrior. But one thing I'm certain of is that luck exists, and I'm the product of that. Maybe this is my second life or whatever," Kyren assured.
"You are right, by the way, speaking of being a warrior, maybe this can also help you remember your past? or maybe someone their is your colleague or guildmates." Hiro added more reason to go Sky Academy and help Kyren.
"Yeah, that's right we can help each other," Kyren respond.
...
"Anyway the third step is to compete with the yearly tournament organized by the Arramaya's Legacy." Hiro said.
"A tournament??" Kyren asked, his curiosity piqued.
Hiro nodded vigorously. "Yes, after we join or form a guild, we're eligible to participate in a tournament called The Triumph Tournament. The AL Guild encourages all guilds to participate to showcase their talent. It's a great advertisement to the top guilds since they're the judges of that tournament, and the prizes are really good."
"That's more exciting to hear, Hiro. I guess they're really trying to push everyone here to become warriors." Kyren said.
"Yeah, they had this idea after the first racial war ended, trying to maintain their combat abilities and not become stagnant, because any day the King of Darklord can declare war again, and it's like a preparation in someway." Hiro said.
"I see..." Kyren
Hiro interupted Kyren "Oh wait, its also my dream to watch the top guild in combat, Its the same tournament that we can see the top guild clashes with their strength."
"What do you mean?" Kyren's a little confused.
"The tournament has three segments. The first one, as I was saying, is for newcomer guilds competing against each other. It's set up like a survival game in a large area, and the goal is to survive until the last guild standing. The second segment happens simultaneously with the first, with the same setup, but the only difference is that mid-tier guilds that are neither newcomers nor top guilds participate. The winner of the second segment will be placed in the top-ranked guilds and advance to compete in the third segment. The third segment, which is the main event, has a different setup. It's only a one-versus-one battle against other top-ranked guilds, and they can choose who to represent in the one-versus-one battle," Hiro explained.
"That's a lot of battle and strategy i guess." Kyren said.
"Yeah, and do you know Kyren, Rezhura is the Reigning Champion. He's undefeated since the first time he participated in the 6th TTT Celebration. He beat the past Reigning Champions from the 1st to the 5th TTT, and now he's still undefeated after the 13th TTT," Hiro said.
"He's really the best, and now I'm also curious to see him in battle." Kyren said.
"Yeah! and the speculation is even the Royal Squad participated, they can also bet everyone their, there's so much gap on the top 2 ranked from them." Hiro added.
Kyren out of curiosity. "Do you know his face?"
"Well Kyren, that's a good question, until now noone every seen his face until he got released from the orphanage, but really if we want a picture of him we should go to the orphanage, but we need a valid reason on why we want to see Rezhura's young picture" Hiro sad.
"Why do I have a feeling I'm Rezhura?"
"Hiro... what if I'm Rezhura?" Kyren said.
