Kyren took a moment to absorb all the information he had studied. As he returned the book to its proper place, an unexpected old and rusty scroll, as if it had been there unnoticed, dropped to the floor. He picked it up, curious, and saw that it bore the title "To My Son, The Savior"
Intrigued, Kyren opened the scroll, only to find another piece of old paper within, a letter that appeared to have been written ages ago.
"To the perceptive recipient, I acknowledge your awareness of the genesis of this letter and the motivations propelling your interest. I earnestly beseech you to abstain from further exploration. This correspondence bears exclusive significance for my cherished son, Rezhura August. Kindly ensure its prompt delivery into his hands.
- River"
"River? Father of Rezhura? this most be to addressed, should I read it." Kyren's thought, while looking at the scroll with a sealed cover paper, and he wants to read it, he need to break the seal.
Kyren pondered over the possibility that neither the scroll nor the letter had been touched by anyone, not even Rezhura himself. Now faced with the decision of whether to give it to the authorities or to personally present it after meeting Rezhura, Kyren weighed his options carefully.
Suddenly, Kyren's nightmare recurred, hissing at him, pushing him to read the letter as if he might find valuable information unknown to anyone else.
"Open... it..." Kyren was tempted to break the seal, but overcame the temptation. "Nah, This is troublesome, I got an unwanted and hidden mission I guess?" He added, safely stowing the letter in his pocket, Hiro interrupted him and asked if it was lunchtime. They headed to the cafeteria, grabbed their food, and then made their way to their makeshift hut located far behind their dormitory.
"So, what did you learn, Hiro?" Kyren inquired.
Hiro, busy eating, spoke with his mouth full. "At first, I watched some Section 10 students sparring with each other, and I was amazed at how well they synergized their punches, kicks, arrows, and combinations with roots. They're really good at teaming up. Then, I saw some weapon training dummies, and I decided to give it a try. I have to say, it's pretty good. You should try it too."
"How about you, Kyren? What did you learn?" Hiro asked between bites of food.
Kyren took a moment to collect his thoughts, his mind still lingering on the mysterious letter hidden in his pocket. He hesitated before deciding to bring it up with Hiro.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.
"Hiro," Kyren began, his voice slightly tense with uncertainty.
"Yeah?" Hiro responded casually, still focused on his meal.
"Do you know who River is?" Kyren asked, his tone cautious.
"River? Never heard of them. Is it a name?" Hiro replied, his brow furrowing in confusion.
Kyren nodded slowly. "What about Rezhura's father? Do you know anything about him?"
Hiro paused mid-bite, caught off guard by Kyren's sudden unusual topic. "Rezhura's father?"
Kyren nodded again, his gaze fixed on Hiro, waiting for an answer.
"I've just heard that Rezhura's father died in the 1st Racial War, along with her mother. Why are you asking about this, Kyren?" Hiro's expression turned curious, sensing there was something more to Kyren's questions.
Kyren sighed, feeling the weight of the letter pressing against his chest. "Listen, Hiro, I don't mean to keep this from you, and I don't mean to steal it from the Library too, but look at what I found in the library while browsing the shelves." He reached into his pocket and pulled out the old, dusty scroll.
Hiro's eyes widened as he took in the sight of the ancient parchment. "What's that?"
Kyren carefully unrolled the scroll, revealing the sealed letter hidden within. "I found this tucked away in a book. It looks important."
Hiro's curiosity piqued as he leaned in closer to get a better look. "What do it says?"
"It's a letter from River, Rezhura's father," Kyren admitted, his fingers tracing the edges of the seal. "I opened it up, but the main letter have a paper sealing and you can not read the message."
Hiro's brow furrowed in concern. "Do you think we should open it?"
Kyren hesitated, weighing the options in his mind. "No, but look at this... there's an attached letter that you can read," Hiro started to read what Kyren had read before.
Hiro's sweat started to bead on his forehead as he realized the significance of the information they held.
"I don't know, Kyren... Should we report this to the proctors? Let them handle it?" Hiro suggested, focusing on the sealed paper, trying to decipher the words beneath it.
"I don't think that's a good idea, Hiro," Kyren said.
"Why not? They could get it to Rezhura faster," Hiro countered.
Kyren struggled to articulate his feelings. He couldn't find a valid reason to keep the letter, but he just didn't want it to be passed to others. "I'm not sure, Hiro. I have a feeling that Rezhura's father wanted it hidden from the world, and I feel like we're chosen to give it to him. It's just an instinct," Kyren hesitated.
"Well, I understand your feelings, Kyren, but this time I think we need to submit it to the higher-ups. First, we don't know when we'll be able to meet Rezhura, and second, we're not guaranteed that we can keep it for long," Hiro argued, making a valid point.
Kyren still not wanted to give it up but Hiro making a valid reason for it to let go. "I think you are right..."
But they got interrupted after they heard some girl student screaming not so faraway.
"Do you hear that Kyren?" Hiro said.
"Yeah." Kyren said.
"What do we do?" Hiro said.
"Well maybe let's go there, if someone getting bullied and runaway here, they will spot our Hut, so maybe let's stop them there." Kyren said.
"Ok, let's go." Hiro said.
...
After Kyren hide the scroll from their place, They rushed to the screaming student, they discovered16th GA Zeeha being sexually harassed by five students from their section.
"Please help me!!!" Zeeha cried out loudly.
