"Alright, so regarding the magic of space and time, it appears that it borrows the power of some superior being to allow us to transverse through space. Time on the other hand appears to be irrational, ever-changing and almost impossible to have a grasp or understanding on it. That is, if we think of it in a magical perspective." Gabe, a certain scientist with a screw lose began to talk.

"Now then ryan, come here!" he beckoned the #1 in the academic city up with his finger.

"Watch" he announced, taking out an apple from his spacial inventory.

It was a bright red apple, nothing was strange about it, it was perfectly normal.

"This is what science can do to magic" he said.

Ryan began to turn his hand. A little bit at a time, slowly but surely. His wrist made some sort of cracking sound, as a magic circle appeared below the apple on the scientist's hand.

The apple changes, each time his hand turns. It showed the apple in a state where it appeared to be crushed in one momment, and it was perfectly fine in the next momment. It suddenly rotted, and suddenly died. Each time the hand turns, the apple changes. Some where along the line, Ryan appeared to be doing it with ease, it was as though he could predict what would happen, as he willed it to rot, repair itself, or be crushed and reformed.

"Now then, what you have just seen, is merely an application of space-time magic with the application of the multiverse theory. In which, since there is a hypothetical set of infinite universes, there is always a universe where the apple as you can see here, is in a state of destruction or normality." he smiled.

"From what is known to the common folk, magic creates itself from the enviroment with the aid of mana, forming it into the desired state such as a fireball or lightning, with the power of the spell being based upon strange formulars or chants and whatnot that borrows the power from some higher being, be it the spirits, gods or whatever lies even beyond that." Gabe continued.

"But that, can be understood in a more scientific sort of way. You see, the mana that we possess, may simply be some sort of innate ability to reform the atoms in the surroundings to do our bidding. In which, we use formulars to extract power from a specific source. Now then, what if we had a formular or a chant to extract power from let's say... the multiverse itself?" Gabe smiled.

The scientists around began to take this into their own private discussion.

"I think, that a magic formation is not a way to borrow power from some higher being, but instead, a way that we channel our own mana to garner the power of the so called higher being. And in ryan's case, he is now able to replace anything with a random state it was in, in another multiverse or timeline." Gabe happily declared.

"Added on with his ability to move in stopped time, what do you think would happen to all his enemies?" the mad scientist happily announced.

Naturally, he was the one who gave Ryan the formular to do so. How he did it, only he himself knew.

"Now then, let's try out his new powers on something alive shall we?" Gabe declared in a form of a question.

Before he could continue, Ryan cut in.

"Hey uh Gabe, there's something staring at me" Ryan called out, as he pointed at the empty space infront of him.

"What are you talking about? There's nothing infront of you other than a concrete wall" Gabe replied.

"No, for real, there is something infornt of me" Ryan said.

"I think you need some rest, or...." Gabe narrowed his eyes.

Using a scanner he designed to detect supernatural things, nothing showed up ahead as well.

"There's nothing there" Gabe assured Ryan.

"No... its there....and its getting closer..." Ryan was trembling?

It was the first time Gabe had ever seen this. The 'almighty' Ryan was actually afraid of something? Could he be hallucinating from the over-exhaustion of power? Gabe pondered.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

"Get back to your room and sleep, that's all for today" he told ryan.

"And if it helps, close your eyes" he said.

Ryan abided. He closed his eyes, however, he still continue to insist something was getting closer. Something he should never touch.

"Alright, this might hurt" Gabe told him, before shooting a tranqualizer into ryan's bloodvessel.

"Bring him to his room" he told the people nearby.

Ryan POV

Something was strange.

As I applied the formular onto the apple, my instincts screamed at me. It was irrational. According to the calculations, nothing would go wrong. And as expected, nothing did. I could change the apple into the state I desired out of the infinite possible states it could be in. It was hard at first, but slowly it got so easy and natural as though I was breathing.

But.

The feeling continued to haunt me.

My instincts screamed no. It continued to shout at me in defiance, each time I changed the state of the apple. It was irrational, I suprressed it. I was going to reach the state where no mortal would ever touch. It was something beyond that of space and time. Something much more. And I could feel the infinite power it had.

By the time I stopped changing the apple, my instincts appeared to have left me.

That was natural.

It was to be expected. What could go wrong?

Perhaps I was just tired.

And then, I began to see 'it'.

I couldn't tell what 'it' was.

However, I could tell that 'it' was looking at me. And it was getting closer and closer.

It was dark. black? No, it was more of the personificaton of the absence of light. Completely black. It didn't have light, but it felt as though it didn't contain any darkness in it as well.

My whole body broke out in goosebumps, as my back unintetnionally shivered.

What is this? Fear? That's irrational. I have just broke pass the mortal limit. Didn't I?

But the feeling of my impending doom didn't stop.

As 'it' got closer, I could begin to see its shape.

No. 'it' didn't have any shape either.

'it' was unable to be described. Unable to comprehend. The more I look at 'it' the more I felt like my brain was going to explode. My brain was desperate, trying to find the correct words and adjectives to define 'it'. But it was hopeless, and 'it' was getting closer.

That's ridiculous.

Me?

Who could eat dragons for breakfast?

No way right?

By the time I realised, my body was trembling.

"Are you okay?" Gabe had asked me.

No. I wasn't. I definetly wasn't.

"Close your eyes" I heard Gabe say.

And so I did.

But 'it' was still there. I can still see 'it'.

I looked around, I looked away, but 'it' was still there. It was as though 'it' was part of my permanant vision or something.

'It' was close. And 'it' was getting closer.

"this might hurt" I heard Gabe tell me.

And then, I was tranqualized.

Strangely, I was still conscious as my body wasn't. And the worse part of all, was that 'it' was still there. I wanted to scream, but i couldn't.

No.

No.

I don't want to end in this way.

But no matter what I did, my body refused to move. I could only despair, as I saw 'it' get closer and closer.

Dominic POV

Have you ever sat through an emotional talk from your siblings about things you really couldn't care about?

"Our ancestors were the heroes...." Benedict was talking.

Yada yada, tell me something I don't know.

"When we were in hell...." and Mitsuha told me about all her experiences. Which really led to the question, where is Bob?

"So, I was hiding in the apartment of a devil I killed with my textbook." Benedict recounted his exciting adventure.

"Pfft" I unintentionally laughed.

Killing a devil with a textbook sounded so funny I laughed on reflex.

"oh no, continue please" I straighted myself as I urged Benedict to continue.

"So, me and Benedict were thinking... could it be that you are the hero?" they asked me.

"Nope" I replied.

"Really?" they asked once again.

"Duh, oh right, and if you have a title of the 'hero' that means that you are the hero" I told them what a certain information broker told me.

This caused them to raise their eyebrows.

"So, who has it?" I asked.

"...."

"me" Benedict replied.

"you seem awfully chill with this... your family has just went through a life and death experience, and you have the audicy to just... listen to it with a bored face?!" Mitsuha was half screaming at me.

"But you guys are fine now right?" I replied.

"No, we are not! Can't you..." she wanted to say something, then she stopped.

"Nevermind" she sighed.

Strange, why is she so mad?

"You seem to be quite on the upkeep on this stuff Dominic, can you tell us what we don't know?" Mitsuha questioned.

When did the needy little girl become an interrigator? Children sure grow up fast don't they?~~

"Tell you about what?" I asked.

"Anything! About what is going to happen, why are we here? Where's our parents, our past which we forgot! Just.. anything" she seemed uh... exasperated? Was that the word?

"Yeah, we have had dreams ok? There's always this beautiful women bringing us around as kids, I assume that that's our mother, there was this dwarf as well, our neighbor, the flame that appears to have a mind of its own, a happy little village." Benedict started.

"Then there's always that one scene, where the house appears to collapse on us" Mitsuha added on.

"How did we survive that? Where were you then? What happened to everything?" she asked.

"How did we live to build a house in a hill? I don't remember anything!" she was closing the edge of insanity.

Thinking about it, should I just tell them? I don't have much time left after all. Well, I don't really like serious dramatic stuff like this...but I guess my life is just one big drama isn't it?

Alright then...

"Where should I start?" I begined recounting.
