*Pow!*
"Sh×t," I cussed.
Somehow, Kevin was able to bend his posture backwards to evade the bullet.
But he didn't wait for me to fire another round, so he turned his gun towards me this time around.
"Oh sh*t!" I exclaimed.
I rolled over while Kevin fired his gun repeatedly, which luckily missed his intended target.
By the time Kevin turns sideways, four zombies were already surrounding him, with each of them trying to grab a bite of him.
Kevin placed his hand on top of one of the zombies before pointing his muzzle underneath the chin of the zombie.
Black blood splattered on his clothes and face, but the extended fingernails of another zombie behind him clawed his flesh from behind.
[Ding! Scratched! You've been ….]
Kevin cried out in pain but turned to fire another shot at the zombie head.
Another zombie attacked him with a bite on his neck, tearing his flesh and drawing out his veins and arteries.
His body became a delectable meal for the zombies, the massive man with well defined muscles screamed in pain as the number of zombies rushing towards him increased.
All the zombies rounded him and toppled him down.
Soon the sound of screaming heightened, then softened with the snarling sounds of the dead reigning over his own.
I came out of the tree I was hiding in and watched as the dead encompasses Kevin.
Kevin no longer screamed in agony, and this made me to think it was safe to say that Kevin had finally met his demise.
But…
"Die!! You rotten walking corpses!!" Kevin roared from underneath the pile of zombies.
*Pow!*
*Pow!*
*Pow!*
Impressive and accurate rounds of shots were released from underneath the zombies and in less than thirty seconds all the zombies on top of Kevin fell on him, dropping gold coins before disintegrating into pixels.
More zombies lumbered towards him at the sound of the gunshot, but Kevin yelled while shooting each one of them, wasting his rounds but also purchasing a new set of bullets immediately as well.

His HP was dropping at an uncontrollable pace, and he knew it was only a matter of time before he dies, but until he takes his last breath, he won't be going down so easily.
In a matter of minutes, he was the only one left standing, surrounded by glowing golden coins and a few antidotes to the virus kept in a test tube as well.
I smiled awkwardly at the resilience Kevin showed to stay alive.
Even in front of death, Kevin refuses to die easily.
This means that, of all the players I had met in the game, Kevin was the only one I could really say was worthy of my admiration.
And then again, the number of players names I knew weren't even in the range of double digits.
Slowly, Kevin staggered to get to his feet before taking a good look at his body.
His clothes were tattered, with several parts of his flesh eaten and torn apart.
Kevin lifted his gaze with part of the flesh on his face pulled out, revealing his teeth in full length.
He could barely see me standing in front of him.
Since I was his initial target, he wasn't going to let me off the hook so easily.
"Do…you… not.... know…who…. I….am?" Kevin staggered towards me.
His trembling hand, holding a gun, was raised and aimed at me.
"I am Kevin!!… And…. I… always finish.....the…. job,"
Kevin took great pride in what he did, being the leader of his group, he did a lot to earn the respect of his members.
And this made the rest of his group feel too relaxed with the knowledge that there was nothing their boss couldn't handle.
He currently has a bounty of two hundred and fifty gold coins, far superior to the combined bounty of both Jasmine and l.
And even though Kevin might die soon, he still wasn't going to let the death of his comrades be in vain.
After all, they were like family to him.
Meanwhile, I was already prepared as well.
My gun had been aimed at Kevin for quite a while now but the roar of a creature, unlike any other, made both me and Kevin to instinctively shift our gaze towards Kevin's rear, which was where the creature was coming from.
"What in the h.e.l.l?" Kevin murmured.
All the other zombies that were heading towards both of us made way for the monster with an eerie sound.
From a distance, the creature could be seen running towards us.
It was clothed in tattered rags just like the rest of the zombies around, but the aura it emitted seemed more horrendous than the rest.
It had a visage of a true fiend from hell with a grotesque pungent stench of rotten flesh permeating the air which assailed my heightened sense of smell.
The humanoid creature then stopped in front of us, hyperventilating as it stared at the Target directly in front of it.
And this was Kevin.
[Mutated Zombie (Adapter) : Level 5.]
[HP: 50/50.]
An odor more exasperating than the rest of the zombies around soon filled the surrounding.
Chunks of ripped skin hung low from its abdomen, adorning its waist and clothes.
The repugnant odor continued to intensify, filling both of us with a nauseating presence.
"F*ck!! A level Five zombie?" Kevin covered his nose, then aimed his gun straight at the mutant.
No matter how high its level was, a zombie will always remain a zombie, so a shot to the head will be enough to end it.
*Pow.*
Kevin released a shot straight to the mutant's head, but the mutant dodged the bullet, almost as though it could see the bullet heading towards it, but before Kevin could blink, the mutant appeared before him, lifting him off the ground with a fierce uppercut attack.
