13. Ace Against Three Men 1/3.

So far, I could only hear three voices. I think that's the maximum number of players I was up against.

One of them sat on me, while the rest sounded as though they sat on the log I placed near the fire pit for my clothes to dry.

They've been exchanging words while laughing at one another as though my very existence didn't matter to them.

During these conversations, I've been able to know the names of all three inmates.

"Hey Ethan, you certainly do have a keen sense of smell when it comes to chicken," Tim said.

"Hehe..... It's like I always say, big bro. No one should mess with me when it comes to chicken," Ethan replied.

"Big bro, I'm starving over here. The food should be done by now, right?" Kingsley stated.

Kingsley was the one resting his entire weight on me. His hand was still directly on top of my head, adding more force to the way my head was pressed to the sand.

I was on the brink of suffocating to death, but I tried to afford myself the chance to breathe by twisting and turning my body even though the strength of the one above me surpasses mine.

Alas, my efforts were futile, and I was running out of options.

"Hey, kid! Why do you need to dry your cloth in the first place?" Tim asked me.

He seemed to be the one in charge of the group.

"Did you happen to find fish in the stream while you were there?" He asked.

"Mmm!!" I tried to reply, but only muffled sounds could be heard.

It seems Tim wanted to hear what I had to say because he gave an order to Kingsley.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.

"Raise his head,"

Kingsley steadily grabbed my bald head and raises it gently for me to make eye contact with Tim.

Just like me, every one of them had their head shaved as well.

Tim sat on the log, turning the meat, while Ethan stood just right behind him.

"He asked you a question, you fool!" Kingsley yelled before smashing my head straight to the ground once again.

My HP dropped, and I could feel a solitary line of blood dripping from one of my nose holes.

"I'm going to ask you one more time," Tim uttered with his gaze piercing into mine.

They were trying to intimidate me.

"Where is my fish?" He asked.

I could understand his logic. My clothes were wet. There was a stream around hundred meters away from here, and so the only reason for my clothes to be drenched is that I went out to fish.

'But that wasn't what happened,'

None of them would believe I single-handedly killed three players on my own and then washed my clothes to rid the stain of blood from it.

"Please just take the meat and go. I don't have anything else with me. The chicken is all I have," I pleaded.

All three brothers seemed to have an average age of thirty between them

My age and stature put me at an advantage to be underestimated by others.

Tim chuckled softly at my words. He looked at the meat and saw that the edges were beginning to char and turn black.

"Oops!!" He exclaimed, removing the meat from the flame. "I guess dinner is ready,"

He smiled and then shifted his gaze toward me once again, but this time his face seemed a lot more serious than it was before now.

"Tell me, kid, do you know what this is?" He asked, and a weapon materialize in his hand.

"A dagger," I feebly replied while feeling the weight of a grown man sitting on me.

"That's right, and do you know where I got this cute little dagger from?"

"....."

"Kobolds," Tim stated. My eyes widened in disbelief.

Tim continued. "Those little monsters are swift with their feet and very deadly with a knife in hand."

" We saw several other inmates being killed savagely by those creatures." Ethan chimed into the conversation.

"They are a level higher than the goblins which makes them more difficult to deal with than the goblins but.....," Tim continued, but Kingsley cut in.

"But big bro was able to handle one of them all by himself,"

"He even killed a wolf on his own and gave us these," Ethan interrupted before flaunting the wolf fang he had with him.

"....." Fear sprouted from deep within me as I gazed into the fang which was twice the size of my index finger.

'Just how big was the wolf for it to have a fang as big as that,'
