15. Ace Against Three Men 3/3.

[Ding!! Mace has been equipped.]

I gritted my teeth as I forcefully swung the mace toward Kingsley's head.

"Aarhh!!"

His head splattered into an unsightly mess, with a bit of crimson liquid splashing into my face.

[Ding!! Dead!! You have killed a player. 10 damage was inflicted on Target's HP. Dropped item: 2 gold coins and a wolf fang. You have gained 10 exp.]

The mace shattered on impact like broken glass before vanishing completely from my hand.

The durability of the mace was pretty low before now, so this was expected.

"What!.....*choke*…" Ethan exclaimed, but the food he ate suddenly choked him, which made his throat constrict as he tried to breathe.

Sensing my opportunity, I grabbed the dagger on the log and then threw it to his chest.

The blade spun toward him until the handle part of the blade hit his stomach.

"Sh*t. I thought it would work like in the movies,"

This wasn't good. The blade didn't hit him as I intended It to.

I bent down to grab the wolf fang that was dropped by Kingsley before his demise.

"?" Ethan noticed the dagger that was lying on the ground.

Even with his face already turning purple because of the struggle for air he was currently trying to have, he knew the dagger was the most fatal weapon a survivor could have in his arsenal right now.

Ethan tried to bend over to grab the knife after noticing how I closed the distance between us with a wolf fang in my hand.

"Aarhh!!" I yelled while jabbing the sharp edge of the wolf's fang into the side of his throat just before he could grab the dagger.

Ethan forcefully inhaled a massive chunk of air with his mouth agape while attempting to remove the wolf fang from his throat.

'Bad idea,' I thought as I stood before him, watching as he removed the wolf fang from his neck.

He desperately endeavored to stop the bleeding with his hands, but he was losing blood at an alarming rate, and before he knew it, he dropped to his knees right in front of me.

I cautiously took the dagger that was right beside him to avoid any unexpected calamities.

Then stored it in my inventory. The upper part of Ethan's clothes had been soaked already.

His HP was dropping uncontrollably, but he sought to say something to me just before his HP dropped to zero.

"Tim….will…. des...troy….you..... he's…. almost….a.....level….2….player....." His HP dropped to zero and the battle log notified me of his death.

[Ding!! Dead. You have killed a player. 10 damage was inflicted on Target's HP. Dropped item: 3 gold coins and a wolf fang. You have gained 10 exp.]

A golden coin and a wolf fang projection appeared on top of his deceased body.

I bent over to grab the dropped items before turning toward my already-dried clothes.

The night was cold, and my body couldn't stand it anymore since I only had my briefs on me.

I wore my rag tunics once again before grabbing the leftover meat that remained, which wouldn't even be able to sate my current hunger.

Still, it was all I had left.

I had to make do with what I had if I hoped to live for another day.

"Those id**ts. I cooked a meal for myself, and they thought they could just eat whatever they wanted without me retaliating?"

I was incensed, but I knew a part of me was to blame for how things turned out this way. If I hadn't started a fire in the first place to warm myself up for tonight, all three players wouldn't have found themselves here.

It was probably this that guided them here, before the aroma emanating from the chicken meat invited them in.

I sighed.

The leftover chicken meat was gone. Now I was feeling peckish than I did before eating the meat.

"That will have to wait,"

Tim was still out there and could be back anytime soon. I need to formulate a strategy to take him down if he truly was about to level up to 2.

This only meant his experience as a level one survivor was more than mine.

But I'm sure mine should be pretty decent since today is technically still the first day.

I sat on the log before summoning my system panel.

My gold coins had increased. This was good to see. I will need more if I am to buy a handgun in the future.

Having a long-range weapon will help to keep my mind at ease than using a close-range weapon every time I fight with the risk of losing my life to the one battling against me.

For now, the only weapon I had that could protect me the most was the dagger, and so I equipped it before reading its details.

[Name: Rusted Dagger.]

[Grade: Low]

[Quality: Low]

[Durability: 5%.]

[Requirements: Level 1.]

[Attribute requirements: STR 1 and above]

[Effects: Capable of inflicting +2 damage against monsters and unarmored targets.]

[Note: The kobolds found it hard to provide maintenance to all their weapons, and now the dagger is rusted with a very low durability accompanying it.]

"It isn't much, but I can work with it," I said, trying to find something that could cheer me up a bit and divert my attention from my growling stomach.

After all, I'm still starving.

The thoughts of how difficult my first day had been surfaced once again, but I didn't ponder too much on it.

I looked towards the fire pit before covering it with sand.

It was time to face my next target.
