56. Ace Vs Spencer.

Spencer runs down the rickety old stairs.

He still didn't know why the big boss yelled his name so loud at night but whatever it was, it must be urgent.

The room leading to the entrance of the inn was dark. Even Spencer couldn't see exactly where he was going, but after being here for six days, he could instinctively guess where to step and where not to step.

Oh, and he could see because the entrance door of the inn was wide open, so the rays of the moonlight ingress into the inn to brighten up a part of the entrance.

He rushed downwards but wondered why the inn was silent.

Was everyone still asleep? Even with the boss yelling out his name?

But as Spencer wondered what was going on, he suddenly felt a killing intent aimed towards him.

And by instinct, he sought to protect himself by raising his hand to block whatever was coming towards him, not knowing it was the swift movement of a silver sword striking down.

"Argh!!"

The cry of pain from inside the inn kept Kevin, Gabriella, and a third player, who were all outside, on their toes.

The third player happened to be the driver of both Kevin and Gabriella.

And the sudden cry of pain from Spencer made all three understand that there was truly an enemy or a group of them in the inn.

Forcefully kicked away from the inn, Spencer flew outside while yelling before rolling and rubbing himself on the dirt.

Spencer stood up from the dirt, spitting a couple of dirt away from his tongue.

He looked up to see an outline of Ace walking out of the inn with a sword in one hand and a hand in the other.

Wait, a hand?

Spencer looked towards his right hand and yelled because his right hand was no longer there.

'What's going on?'

'Wasn't this the boy Han and Native were supposed to take care of?'

'Speaking of which, where were they right now?'

'How did my hand become a mess? One minute, my hands were still intact and now one of them is gone? What the fxxk is going ....?'

*Slash!*

Ace approached and swung his sword at a discombobulated Spencer, whose mind was in utter chaos.

His head flew off his body, with his mouth and eyes still opened wide from the shock of losing his hand.

[Ding! Decapitated! You have killed a player. -20 damage was inflicted on Target's HP. Dropped item: 470 gold coins, and a revolver. You have gained 20 exp.]

The battle log appeared before Ace, but Ace swiped the notification away so that he could focus on the main boss of the gang.

Although, he gave himself time to bend over to grab the dropped coins and gun before storing them in his inventory.

Kevin took a cautionary look around the inn.

It was already weird enough to think one man could end a total of twenty-seven players on his own.

If he wasn't alone, then he probably had help.

But if he didn't, then this young man standing before him shouldn't be taken lightly.

This was a survival game, Kevin had warned his men to take the game seriously but now that they were all dead, Kevin would have preferred being the only one from the beginning.

With a composed mind, Kevin inhaled and exhaled deeply.

"Are you alone?" He asked while keeping his eyes fixed on the windows of the inn.

He still wasn't sure if this was a one-man killing spree, but that didn't mean he shouldn't act with patience and caution.

After all, you only get to live once.

But just as Kevin asked, Jasmine rushed out of the inn.

Her eyes drifted towards Ace, who was holding a sword soaked in blood.

She instinctively made a sigh of relief.

At least, he was alive.

Good, that's good.

She was glad to see this.

A e noticed her as well and threw the bronze dagger he obtained towards Jasmine.

She caught it and stored it in her inventory.

Then instantly, her face contorted into one with rage. She glared at Gabriella before raising her sword and pointing it toward her.

"Gabriella!!" She yelled. Tonight she will settle everything.

Her unpleasant past hunting her dreams ends tonight.

The nightmare ends tonight.

She was going to face her worst nightmare tonight.

The ginger-haired Gabriella recognizes the voice of the young girl standing before her.

"Jasmine," Gabriella muttered with a smile.

She was just the person Gabriella was dying to meet.

"It ends tonight," said Gabriella as she summoned her bronze sword as well.

The promise she made to a mother who lost her child in the hands of Jasmine will finally be fulfilled tonight.

Both ladies said no more, but instead dashed towards each other, swinging their swords with sparks made by the force of their attacks.

Meanwhile, Kevin was a bit relaxed now.

If there were more enemies, they would probably have come out by now.

But if there were marksmen, then he most likely wouldn't be standing right now.

Kevin turned towards the driver. "You there, go help Gabriella,"

"Yes, boss!" The driver nodded before heading in the direction of the clashing ladies.

'Oh no. You don't,' Ace thought before throwing his sword toward the driver.

The sword pierced the driver in the chest from behind.

'Oh f×ck,' The driver couldn't do anything but plop straight to the ground as he watched his HP draining down to zero.

Kevin ran towards Ace right after he threw the sword at the driver.

But Ace barely evaded his fist, which had an immense weight to it.

Kevin was a two-meter tall, ebony-skinned player with a body befitting that of a pro-wrestler.

He had skilled hand-to-hand combat just like Ace, but was good at it.

He had recently leveled up to three yesterday, and he dumped all his stat points on strength.

This means his speed was just the same as Ace which was a lot lower than the one Spencer had, but when it comes to brute strength, Kevin's strength rivals that of the Dark Minotaur.
