Celestial Elves' Survival Game
35. Jasmine's Past 3/3.

35. Jasmine's Past 3/3.

Being the owner of a prestigious academy and schooling children of various aristocrats, Liam's mother had a couple of connections of her own.

Words got out to the guards in the prison facility, and the female inmate in charge of making Jasmine's life in this new prison facility a living hell was Gabriella.

"As far as I know, Gabriella was promised a massive sum of money, the likes of which could change her life forever," Jasmine said.

Which means Gabriella's task was simple.

Since' Black Paradise Prison' was a mixed-gender prison facility, woth the male on one side and the females on the other, all Gabriella had to do was inform a couple of male inmates about the idea of getting their hands on a girl like Jasmine.

Well, I can see where this is going.

Jasmine is a really attractive girl, and I doubt any man in his right mind would not want to have a taste of what's between her thighs.

After all, it's not every day you see a female inmate still having her V-card intact in this modern era, so countless male inmates would certainly love to 'cash it in' before anyone else.

And that's accurately what they hoped to do.

Gabriella introduced herself to Jasmine and offered her a few hours to do whatever she wanted.

Having her last prayers or doing whatever she wanted, Gabriella didn't care whatever it was.

Surprisingly, a few guards had been taken care of already, they too agreed to permit whatever punishment needed to be done to Jasmine, so eyes were on her 24/7.

The chance to commit suicide wasn't an option for her anymore now.

It was only a matter of seconds before she lost her V-card and her life as well.

Fortuitously for her, the sleep-inducing melody was played that day, everyone fell into a deep sleep, and we all know what happens after that.

"I still have nightmares about Gabriella and that witch when I sleep at night,"

"..."

"As far as I know, Gabriella is one of the few inmates that had stayed in Black Paradise prison long before I arrived and has made a name for herself as one of the few untouchable female inmates in there,"

Unlike me, who had barely stayed in Black Paradise prison for a day, Jasmine had been there for several months, and she's seen and heard about several inmates already there before she was.

Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere.

An untouchable female inmate is just another term for a female gang boss, where the boss has multiple female lackeys doing her bidding.

Hence, why Liam's mother paid her to get the job done.

Well, with how every one of us is fighting to win a billion dollars, I doubt Gabriella will still be interested in having Jasmine killed.

With everyone back on Earth, not recalling our existence anymore, wouldn't that nullify whatever contract was made between Gabriella and Liam's mom?

Jasmine has been quiet since she talked about her nightmares.

Hearing her story, I can see why she blames herself for her sister's demise.

But I can't think of a single thing to say to comfort her.

Besides, does she want comforting words right now?

"I'm so…."

"You don't have to apologize. You did nothing wrong in the first place,"

I was apologizing for being a jerk when she's been nothing but kind to me since we met.

I just felt I should have asked her kindly why she was doing what she did rather than acting the way I did.

Anyway, there's no use crying over spilled milk, what's done has been done.

And it doesn't look like Jasmine is mad at me, either.

I guess she's a lot more mature than I thought.

Well, aside from her happy-go-lucky attitude, she believes she can claim the billion-dollar award.

Now you see why I said she's insane, right?

Finding all four maps in a world we do not even know how big or how vast it is, is just absurd.

I'd rather take a more pragmatic approach.

*Plop!*

A single raindrop plops on my forehead. The same thing happens to Jasmine as well, it rises as the seconds pass.

Now, our bodies were getting soaked.

"Can you walk?" Jasmine offered a hand to help me up.

"I can manage," I said as I tried to get myself up on my own.

Going back to the cabin is out of the question for now.

We were too far from the cabin, and that leaves the truck as the other choice we have left to rest for the night.

Currently, we cuddled in the back seat of the truck.

I know, right, things escalated quickly.

But not quite.

With the incessant downpour of rainfall outside, the cold breeze made its way into the truck as well.

And so, even with the side and rear windows locked, Jasmine cuddled onto me to warm our bodies.

Not that, I'm complaining, but it feels like she's completely forgotten we both almost killed each other a couple of minutes ago.

Almost half an hour passed and yet no one said anything between us.

It is weird this way, but to be honest, I'm not much of a talker, to begin with.

Seeing how Jasmine held on tightly to my arm, I felt a strong sense of calmness and nostalgia as well.

It feels similar to how Alice trust and depends on me to always stay by her side, no matter what.

Recalling Alice now, makes me wish today was the hundredth day of the game, and I am only a few hours away from returning home to the arms of both Sofia and Alice.

"Um, Ace?" Jasmine muttered. It seems like she got bored with the silence as well.

"Hmm?"

"I'm sorry about the scar on your face,"

A/N:- So, here comes the end of our backstory so far. I'm glad I wrote it this way rather than writing it in the form of a flashback just like many other first POV novels I have read, which would unnecessarily be more than twenty chapters. I chose to do this because this novel has several hundreds of chapters planned, so doing that would just be a waste of time, since most of the characters won't even be seen or mentioned again. If you'd like something like a flashback written in details next time, just let me know now. Thanks for reading.
