"Yo! Kingsley! Ethan! Where are you at?"
Tim had returned. And for my safety, I had to blend in with the darkness.
There was no moon or stars in the night sky.
Everywhere was pitch black and the only source of illumination had been covered with sand, allowing both of us to remain undetected.
Well, the only one who was still undetected was me.
Following the sound of Tim's voice, I could pinpoint his exact location, but the howling gales of the wind made it arduous for me to do so.
"Ethan!! Kingsley!!" He yelled his brothers' names, not knowing they had both met their demise.
"Hey, kid!! Are you there?" Now he remembers me.
"I know you are here!!"
'Of course, I am. Who else do you think is going to kill you,'
[Ding! Wolf fang has been equipped.]
I held the wolf fang and subtly ambled toward Tim. I aimed the sharpened edge toward his direction and slowly began to close the distance between us.
"To be honest, kid, I underestimated you. I honestly didn't think you had it in you,"
"..."
" I know you killed both Kingsley and Ethan."
'Hmm, I guess he's a lot smarter than he looks,' I commented inwardly while slowly getting close to him.
"Those two don't have the stomach to rise against me. Do you know why?"
' I don't care,'
"It's because I killed thirty inmates in less than an hour right in front of them,"
'Woah! Now I care,' I paused for a bit. The wind had settled down and if I were to go on, he'll notice me before I even get close enough to reach him.
Things just got a lot more serious than I thought they would.
'Thirty inmates in less than an hour?'
'That's sick!!'
He continued. "We were thirty-three in number that got spawned in the middle of a forest. And since the Elf gave us the freedom to kill as many as we wanted, why then should I show mercy towards a fellow murderer like me? I killed thirty of them, sparing only two,"

I guess by 'those two' he means both Ethan and Kingsley.
" It's funny when a fellow murderer like me, begs me to spare him, don't you think?" Tim asked.
"..." It appears he is trying to get me to talk. He knows I'm out here watching him, but he feels he will be in a pinch if he doesn't discern my exact location.
He added. "It's insulting really. A killer imploring another killer not to murder him. What a joke,"
"..."
"I decided to spare those two dispensable fools with the hope that they could be useful to me eventually rather than being a liability to me, but they ended up being the latter instead. So thank you for taking them out before I did,"
"Trust me, kid. We don't have to do this. My EXP is above 300."
'300 EXP, huh?' His 300 EXP is way beyond the 80 EXP I had.
This means he had way more experience as a level 1 survivor when compared to me.
In other words, he's unlike any other inmates I have fought until now. He is a natural-born killer to have been able to achieve such a feat in less than a day.
I could run away and never look back, but something tells me if I don't kill him now, he's going to be a dangerous foe in the future if our paths cross again.
" I'll be leveling up in a matter of days. We could work something out, you and me,"
'There's nothing to work out. You're dangerous, and you have to be eliminated so that I won't face a more fearsome version of you in the future,'
It's as simple as that.
There's no time to waste time thinking of a compromise.
But he couldn't read my thoughts, and so he continued. "We can be a team. We can team up for the Obsidian key to split the reward in half. We'll still be rich once we return home. How about that, huh?"
'Not interested,' The howling gales resumed once again, but this time I hastened my pace to Tim.
Only one of us shall remain to see the dawn of a new day, and that will be me!!
I strode faster towards Tim in the dark, aiming the wolf fang at him before.....
*Clack!* I stepped on a stick while I was close to him.
"Got ya!!" Tim yelled.
'Oh shucks!' I exclaimed.
He strode closer to me and aimed his fist toward the pressure points on my left arm in an attack so fast I couldn't react in time.
*Pow* *Pow!* *Pow!*
"Arghh!!" I groaned in agony.

[Ding! Temporary paralysis. Your left arm has been temporarily paralyzed. Find a secluded spot to rest for your arm to return to normal.]
My left arm felt numbed, and I could instinctively sense he was aiming toward my right arm as well.
Instantly, I blindly aimed the wolf fang at him with the hope of affording myself enough time for a counterattack.
"Arggh!!"

A negative figure appeared above his head, and I used that to leap backward a couple of times to afford us both a considerable amount of distance.
"Hiyaah!!" I could hear him groaning in pain while pulling out the wolf fang from his body.
He inflicted three damages on my HP, while I also inflicted two on his. I'm pretty sure the wolf fang was skewered straight into his hand.
[HP: 3/10.]
My HP had dropped, and I was down to one weapon. The odds appear not to be in my favor.
The chances of me surviving beyond tonight appear to be lower than 3%.
Well, it was fun while it lasted. It seems I won't be seeing Sophia or Alice anytime soon.
'Goodbye cruel world. The journey of Ace seems to be approaching its end…'
*Slaps!!* I slapped my cheeks.
'Jokes aside. I have to find a way to beat him,'
"You've made your choice, kid!! There's no going back. I'm going to end you now. You've killed two players before me, and I'm certain it must have taken a toll on your HP."
He continued. " If you still believe you can defeat me, then you're even more of a fool than I thought you were. I'm currently in the possession of a skill book and you know what that means, right?"
"..."
" It means I've learnt a skill,"
