Guan Yi stood outside the door of the Extreme Martial Arts Academy without going in. Without getting permission, he wasn't going in. That was sufficient display of his sincerity.
He looked around at his surroundings. Having such a traditional looking academy in the midst of a modern city was something very curious to him.
The door opened and Tan Xing walked out.
"I understand that you are here to look for the principal of the academy?"
"That's right. I'm looking for Jiang Ning."
He knew this name. This was the most legendary name of this city, and even this world.
Someone who could match up to Greedy Wolf was certainly no simple character.
It was rare that such an environment could produce such a highly skilled fighter. In fact, you could even consider it a miracle.Content provided by .
"I'm sorry but the principal is still meditating in isolation and is unable to see any guests. I hope you can understand."
Tan Xing did not allow Guan Yi to go in immediately.
Nobody knew where this man had come from, so he had to be more cautious and couldn't let him in so easily.
He would deal with him accordingly after getting the latest information from Butler Zhao about who this man was.
The old men in the academy like himself couldn't help Jiang Ning with much, but the least they could do was to make sure they didn't give him any trouble.
"Don't be in such a hurry to turn me away." Guan Yi didn't get angry. He smiled and said, "You can tell Jiang Ning that a friend from the Underworld is looking for him. He'll get it." The Underworld?
Tan Xing had no idea what that meant.
Jiang Ning had not told him about these things.
He frowned and looked seriously at Guan Yi for a few moments, hoping to get some clues from his expression. But he didn't manage to glean anything.
"Please give me a moment."
He could sense that Guan Yi was no simple character, and he didn't seem to be here to make trouble. So he thought it was best to let Jiang Ning know first. He didn't want Jiang Ning to miss out on anything important.
Tan Xing walked back in, leaving Guan Yi waiting by the door. He was in no hurry.
Back inside the training room, Jiang
Ning was still trying to see how best to distin water so that the wolves
and the others could possibly drink it without any terrible effects.
Someone knocked on the door.
Actually, when Tan Xing walked towards the door, Jiang Ning had already sensed him.
His senses were extremely sensitive now. He could sense the slightest breeze and movement. It was as if as long as he was there, he would be the center of everything and
could use formation lines to recreate everything around him.
The moment there was any movement or vibration in the formation lines, Jiang Ning would sense it instantly.
Jiang Ning had discovered this very recently himself, and it was an ability that kept improving itself.
"Jiang Ning, someone outside is looking for you, he says he's from the Underworld," said Tan Xing. Jiang Ning stopped everything he was doing. Someone from the Underworld was here?
He was a little surprised. Or rather, he was rather shocked.
Someone from the Underworld had come knocking on his door already?
And he had come here as a guest, allowing Tan Xing to bring this message in instead of barging in.
"Let him come in."
Jiang Ning remained calm and his emotions did not change much. Of course, he knew what the
Underworld meant. That was a place that was on par with the Heavenly Palace, a place straight out from folklore.
But he had no idea what was really going on now.
It was the people from the Underworld who had destroyed the Heavenly Palace. So why were they looking for him now?
He took a deep breath and reconditioned his body. He was going to make sure he would be capable of giving his most powerful blow if necessary.
Outside, Guan Yi kept a smile on as he
walked into the academy with Tan Xing.
The layout and furnishing of the academy was not bad. Guan Yi kept nodding his head as he walked by. He didn't expect this sort of atmosphere inside this place.
A number of people were practicing martial arts in the courtyard. Their moves were very simple and basic, but every person remained serious and trained hard without slacking off. Their attitudes were certainly commendable.
Even though they were way too lousy compared to even the soldiers he was in charge of, their attitudes were something he appreciated.
"What's keeping Jiang Ning so busy? Isn't he coming out to greet his friend?" said Guan Yi with a smile.
