Luo Long simply frowned and stared at Jiang Ning silently.

He had not expected that there would come a day when he would hold a peaceful conversation with Jiang Ning instead of engaging in a fierce battle to the death with the man.

If he had not realized what was going on, Tianlian Sect might continue to be exploited. Like what Jiang Ning had said, the sect would continue to be used as a tool and might even be sacrificed for the gains of someone else without ever realizing the truth.

"Do you really think I'll do whatever you tell me to?" Luo Long looked Jiang Ning in the eye.

"You're a selfish man. You're not going to do what I tell you to," laughed Jiang Ning. "But you won't stand by and watch as Tianlian Sect perishes and vanishes from the mountain forever, will you?" Luo Long fell silent.

Mr Lang was a terrifying opponent. Luo Long wasn't going to stand a chance against him on his own. In fact, Tianlian Sect might not be his match even if they were to join forces and attack him.

If they were his match, they would not have ended up being subjected to his machinations.

Now, standing before him was the one who had been the first person to sense Mr Lang's presence. Luo Long had witnessed how strong Jiang Ning was. He was a powerful man.

Should he join forces with Jiang Ning?

"You're right. I'm a selfish man. I only serve the interests of Tianlian Sect." Luo Long leveled an icy stare at Jiang Ning. "I'll do anything as long as it serves the greater good of the sect and I'll kill anyone who tries to bring harm to my sect. That includes you."

His voice was laced with open murderous intent.

"I believe you're the one who's been causing me trouble all this while," said Jiang Ning calmly.

Since he had appeared in this world within the mountain, Tianlian Sect had been trying to cause trouble for Qingshan Sect and trying to find their way into the world outside.

This was all because they had fallen for Mr Lang's schemes. Otherwise, Tianlian Sect would not have tried to attack Qingshan Sect.

The expression on Luo Long's face shifted minutely. He scoffed and pretended that he hadn't heard what Jiang Ning had said. He wasn't going to admit to any wrongdoing and would feign ignorance even if he had done anything wrong.

"Mr Lang isn't going to be easy to deal with."

Luo Long's words indicated that he was prepared to cooperate with Jiang Ning.

He was well aware of the fact that on his own, he wasn't going to be a match for Mr Lang. He was probably the only clearheaded person in Tianlian Sect. How was he supposed to fight Mr Lang without any help?

He knew nothing about his enemy. He didn't know where he had come from, who he was and how powerful he truly was. In fact, he couldn't even remember what he looked like.

"You won't be able to beat him on your own. In fact, you're not his match even if you have Tianlian Sect on your side," said Jiang Ning. "Do you know anything about him?" "Do you?" Luo Long shot back.

"I have only one question for you. Do you know of any way to fight him?" Luo Long asked plainly.

"No," said Jiang Ning honestly.

They had no idea whom they were dealing with, where he had come from and what abilities he possessed. In fact, they couldn't even remember his face. How did one fight such an enemy? It was akin to fighting air.

Jiang Ning stared at Luo Long as if he were looking at an idiot. It was driving Luo Long a little crazy.

"What should we do now?1

"Our top priority is to make everyone realize that Mr Lang exists." Jiang Ning hit the nail on the head. "Especially that idiotic chief of yours who thinks that he's fulfilling some grand and ambitious plan without realizing that he's simply been used like a mindless tool."

Luo Long's lips parted as he got ready to yell at Jiang Ning for insulting his chief, but then he thought about what Jiang Ning had said. He seemed to be speaking the truth. Wasn't Luo Qi just a tool serving the purposes of another person right now?
