Greedy Wolf was someone whose very name had the word 'greedy' in it. Of course he was a greedy man.
Furthermore, over this period of time, Jiang Ning had witnessed too much of how cruel and coldblooded Greedy Wolf could be.
Now that he had obtained a chance to increase his prowess, his ambitions would definitely grow in proportion.
But this was not the time to think about all this.
Jiang Ning got everyone to go back and get themselves ready. The upcoming battle might not be too far from now.
Meanwhile, he brought the wolves back to Donghai.
Back in the Lin family bungalow.
There was less laughter in the house because Peter Pan was slowly deteriorating. He lay on the bed and was no longer able to move.
Jiang Yao stayed by his side every day to tell him stories and chat with him. She refused to go out and play.
There was nothing else anybody could do about it.
In the room, Jiang Yao was telling Peter Pan a story very seriously.Content provided by .
"That duckling thought that it was a swan and wanted to fly. It thought that it would become beautiful, regardless of what everyone else told it. It refused to believe that it was just a duckling." Jiang Yao looked up at Peter Pan. "Master, do you believe that?"
"Who's that duckling referring to?" Peter Pan chuckled. His voice was weak and faint. "If it's my precious Jiang Yao, then this duckling is definitely a swan, regardless of what others say."
His gaze was getting more and more gentle because he knew that he was about to reach the end of his life. Even though he really couldn't bear to die, he couldn't change this fact.
Peter Pan looked at Jiang Yao. "Yaoyao, when Master isn't around, you must take good care of yourself and listen to Daddy and Mummy, alright?"
Jiang Yao shook her head. "Master, you have to be around. I want to play with you. If you're not around anymore, Yaoyao will be very upset."
She tugged at Peter Pan's hand and her eyes were a little red, while her voice cracked up, "Master, do you have some other disciple and you don't want Yaoyao anymore?" "Yaoyao will be obedient! I will learn martial arts from you! Master, don't abandon Yaoyao!"
Peter Pan's heart nearly broke when he heard what she said.
He didn't care about anybody else. The disciple he loved the most was this tiny little girl, even though he couldn't teach her anything now.
"Nonsense don't have any other
disciples. You're the only one. Your
Uncle Gou and the rest are just my disciples in name," Peter Pan consoled Jiang Yao as he squeezed
a smile out.
He knew that he didn't have much time left, so he just wanted to make Jiang Yao happy even if he had to lie.
But Jiang Yag could help but bawl.
She was very young, but she understood a lot more than the adults realized. The more Peter Pan claimed that he wouldn't leave her, the more she could sense that she was going to lose him.
Just then, someone gently pushed the door of the room open.
Jiang Yao looked up to see that it was Jiang Ning.
She ran over and pounced into his arms. "Daddy! Master doesn't want me anymore!"
Jiang Ning felt his heart ache when he heard how upset and aggrieved Jiang Yao sounded.
He gently caressed Jiang Yao's head and said gently, "That's not true. Why would Master not want Yaoyao anymore?"
"Yaoyao is such a good girl and such a good disciple. Your Master wouldn't bear to abandon you."
But Yaoyao continued to cry and pout. Peter Pan couldn't bear to watch her cry.
"Alright now, your Master isn't going
to abandon you, and he wouldn't dare to understand?" said Jiang Ning "Daddy will talk to him, alright?
Go look for Mummy." Contalright?
"But..."
"Be good, just give us a while, your Master will look for you soon."
Jiang Ning passed Jiang Yao to someone outside the door, then came back in and shut the door behind him.
Peter Pan leaned against the bed and sighed. He shook his head and looked so helpless.
Tve been doing whatever I've wanted all my life and never feared death because I didn't miss anything or anybody in life. But now, I don't even dare to die!"
