CHAPTER 1865 LEAVE NOW
Lance had no idea what was going on back home, or why they were suddenly forced to stay in Tokyo.
Wasn't that as good as sending them to die?
Lana sat on the other side of the room without saying anything. Her face was still slightly swollen.
She had never been hit like that before, and the person who hit her was actually someone who had worked all his life for the Salo family! He actually dared to do such a thing to the hand of those who fed him.
This was never permitted within the Salo family!
"Mr Lance, we have to find a safe place," said the bodyguard sternly. "This place is definitely not safe."
Even though Kumada had been willing to let Lana go, he could change his mind anytime.
After all, he had let Lana go only because of Jiang Ning. But now Lana had gone back on her word and not just offended the Yamaguchi Syndicate, but also offended Jiang Ning!
Lance was really about to go mad.
The situation was even worse than before now!
"Where can we go?" Lance pulled at his hair. "The Yamaguchi Syndicate has people all over Tokyo, so they can capture us anytime they want to."
"We originally had a safe place to go to, but now?"
He glanced angrily at Lana and wanted to say more, but stopped himself.
"That Jiang Ning definitely has other ulterior motives. Did you think he would be so kind as to help you to rescue me?" Lana shook her head. "Don't be so childish!"
"You are the childish one!" Lance became even angrier now.
If Lana hadn't gone back on her word, they would be inside the shrine right now and they would be very safe.
With Jiang Ning around, he was sure that neither Kumada nor the Prince would go there and make trouble.
"Don't you get it? There's chaos back home, so someone is trying to use both of us in exchange for something that he wants," said Lance. "And now, the only person who can save us is Jiang Ning."
"It's true that he's not helping us for nothing, but he already said that what he wants is the integrated circuit technology and I agreed to that. That's why he agreed to save you."
"This entire thing is a transaction!" he roared as he rapped his fingers against the table fiercely.
The situation at hand was very clear. If they remained in Tokyo, their lives would be in danger because nobody knew what the Yamaguchi Syndicate would do next.
And nobody knew what those traitors in the family would do either.
Heifer had appeared to stop them from leaving Tokyo, so who could they count on now?
Lana's expression was equally nasty.
She didn't expect things to turn out like this.
But what made her angrier was the response from the clan. They made her heart feel really cold.
But she had gone back on her word and now she had offended Jiang Ning as well. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
"If we look for Jiang Ning now, will he help us?” she asked quietly.
Lance shook his head.
“I'm too ashamed to ask him."
He was the one who asked Jiang Ning to come to Tokyo to save his sister, but now they had gone back on their word. He didn't have the cheek to ask Jiang Ning for help again.
"I'll go then!" said Lana in frustration.
She was the one who went back on her word in the first place, so she was willing to embarrass herself.
She got up and was about to go out when someone kicked the door open from outside.
BAM!
"Be careful!" The bodyguards immediately stood in front of the Salo siblings. "Who are you?!"
"Take them away!" The intruders were dressed like Warriors and didn't waste any time talking as they came forward to take the siblings away.
"Mr Lance, run!" The bodyguard gave the command and all of them rushed out to push the Warriors aside while Lance grabbed Lana's hand and ran out of the room.
"Leave now!”
The two of them quickly ran down the stairs and didn't even dare to take the elevator.
Once they reached the ground floor, Lance saw a group of men waiting for them at the elevator and he was about to run out of breath.
If they had taken the elevator, they wouldn't be able to get away!
"Hurry! Run!" Lance grabbed Lana and ran out of the hotel. A few men noticed them and started running after them.
"Stop! Stop!" The two of them flagged a cab down and got in anxiously. "Hurry up!
Drive!"
