Two days passed quickly just like that, and the academy festival had arrived. Robin had received an invitation from Liam to attend the event as a VIP, as it would give him valuable insight into this world and he can meet with some important people from the city.
After finishing his breakfast early, Robin dressed in a sharp blue suit and neatly combed his hair. Although he was younger than both of his companions, he appeared older and more mature. Accompanied by Oliver and Andrew, Robin boarded his fancy car and made his way to the academy, feeling a mix of anticipation and curiosity about what the event would hold.
As they approached the city’s main road, Robin noticed a traffic jam. Never in his life had he imagined that traffic jams would still exist in a city like nexar. Luxurious cars and public transport moved restlessly along the road. The academy was located on the opposite side of the city, near a mountain range that bordered Nexar.
As they passed through the city and farmlands, Robin noticed a flood of people heading toward the academy. Looks like the festival was more grand than he thought.
When they reached the main gate, they saw a long line of cars waiting to enter. There was also a gate for pedestrians, who lined up and were thoroughly checked before being allowed through. Security was top-notch. Although the academy was within the city, but it wasn’t controlled by it, operating with its own administration and security force.
Seeing the huge line Oliver rolled down his window and called over a guard, Robin reached his pocket and showed him the family emblem. The guard quickly saluted and instructed his colleagues to let their car go first. With family influence, waiting in line was never a question. Robin felt like he was abusing his power but Oliver said with an assuring tone that's how the world works.
After crossing the main gate, they followed the road to the academy, which stretched a bit farther. After a few minutes of driving through the crowd of people, they finally arrived.
The atmosphere was lively, with students preparing for their performances, decorations lighting up the venue, holographic screen everywhere showing what is waiting for all the spectators and a palpable sense of celebration in the air.
The Central Academy of Nexar, an institution synonymous with prestige and innovation, was nothing short of spectacular as it prepared for its annual festival.
The academy, already famed as the crown jewel of education on the planet Arora, it was one of the biggest and best education institutes in the whole world. Not for the festival it had been transformed into a radiant beacon, drawing visitors from across the globe.
Although there was a limit how many people a student in the academy could invite but if you compare it to the earth then the academy has students from kindergarten to PhD. Also many vips from all around the world were invited. So the crowd of people was huge. Robin and his group started walking towards the academy main campus.
As Robin approached the academy, he was greeted by a sight that was simply breathtaking. Towering above him were massive holographic banners, suspended in the air, displaying vibrant images of past festival highlights and achievements of the academy’s students. The entrance itself was a grand archway of cascading light, where energy fields formed intricate designs, shifting and glowing in mesmerizing patterns. Beneath the arch, large statues of historical figures stood proudly, representing the academy’s long-standing tradition of excellence and its contributions to Arora’s history.
The Courtyard, the heart of the academy had been transformed into a festival ground teeming with life. Paths lined with floating lanterns and bioluminescent plants guided visitors towards different sections of the celebration. In the center of it all, a gigantic holographic projection of the academy’s crest spun slowly, casting vibrant rays of light over the assembled crowd. Every few moments, the crest would shift and morph, depicting various scenes from the academy’s history—students unlocking groundbreaking discoveries, past graduations, and famous alumni achieving greatness across the stars.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
There were various stalls of food and magic items set by students on both sides of the courtyard.
“Master Robin,” Oliver said quietly, always at his side, “the Academy spares no effort during these festivals. It is both a celebration and a show of strength. Every corner of this academy reflects their influence.”
"Oh, you studied from here, right. So you know quite a bit about the campus just Give us a tour" said robin.
" It'll be my pleasure " said Oliver as he led Robin and Andrew through the campus
As they continued to explore, he saw that the Main Academic Building stood as the centerpiece of the campus, it was an old looking building. If you look closely it resembles a gothic castle then an academic building. Oliver informed robin this building is more than a thousand years old.
Although it was an old building, it was filled with gadgets. The building was adorned with ribbons of light and holographic projections, all these screen are programd to match the environment of the giant building, it was welcoming visitors to witness the academy’s history. Inside, vast lecture halls were equipped with advanced learning tools—holographic displays, virtual reality classrooms, and AI-driven teaching assistants. Some of the academy’s most prominent faculty members, dressed in flowing robes of deep blue and silver, mingled with the guests, guiding them through the various sections of the festival.
The faculty at the Central Academy were legends in their fields. They were renowned scholars, engineers, and magicians who had pushed the boundaries of science, technology, and magic. Many of them were former alumni of the academy, returning to teach the next generation of leaders.
Flanking the main academic building were several other structures dedicated to specialized studies. The Technology Labs, to the north, were the home of the academy’s most daring scientific experiments. These labs housed everything from nanotechnology research to groundbreaking AI systems. The labs were sprawling, with some buildings extending underground into high-security research chambers. Students here worked on projects ranging from fusion reactors to advanced spacecraft, often with representatives from the planetary government observing their work.
Towards the west of the campus lay the Magical Studies Wing, a grand building lined with arcane symbols that glowed softly in the light. This section of the academy was reserved for the study of ancient magics and the fusion of modern technology with mystic arts. It was here that the academy’s most talented mages honed their craft, learning to manipulate elements, create portals, and master the ancient spells passed down from generations.
One of the most celebrated areas was the Astronomical Wing, a structure whose sleek design mimicked the curves of planetary rings. Its glass dome housed the academy’s vast observatory, equipped with cutting-edge telescopes capable of mapping entire galaxies. During the festival, tours were given, allowing visitors a glimpse into the distant stars and planets, many of which had been discovered by the academy’s own researchers.
A little further from the academic buildings, Robin caught sight of the Student Dormitories—massive, elegant structures that resembled luxury hotels more than traditional student housing. Each building had its own central atrium, with hanging gardens and waterfalls cascading down into crystal-clear pools. The rooms themselves were spacious, designed with the comfort and creativity of the students in mind. Equipped with personal holo-displays, advanced communication terminals, and small private labs for personal projects, the dorms were an extension of the academy’s philosophy of blending luxury with learning.
Oliver gestured towards them. “The students here, Master Robin, are treated with the utmost respect. They live in facilities rivaling some of the finest residences in Nexar, and many dormitories are equipped with private study halls, virtual training rooms, and, of course, personal tutors to aid with their studies. It’s no wonder they produce the finest minds in Arora.”
The Library, often referred to as the Archive of Worlds, was another marvel. A towering structure, it housed knowledge from across the galaxy. With digital records, ancient texts, and even physical alien artifacts, it was said to be the largest repository of knowledge in this quadrant of space. Inside, the vast halls were lined with shelves that seemed to stretch for miles, and holographic guides floated through the air, assisting visitors in locating even the most obscure of texts.
As they walked through the bustling campus, Robin and his group arrived at the academy's grand arena. Positioned at the heart of all the surrounding buildings, it was an enormous structure, clearly designed to accommodate large crowds. Towering seats circled the arena, with floating screens suspended in the air to provide a clear view of the action for every spectator. A transparent dome shielded the central field, giving an uninterrupted view of the events while protecting participants and spectators alike.
As Robin and his group walk around the campus, they see the vibrant preparations for the festival. Students and staff are bustling about, setting up stalls, arranging decorations, and testing out the various attractions. The air is filled with excitement and energy, and the campus itself is impressive, blending futuristic architecture with greenery.
The festival seems to have drawn crowds from all over, giving the campus a lively, cosmopolitan feel.
While they take their time exploring, oliver informed robin. that the festival's program is about to start soon.
Even though Robin and his group arrived much earlier than expected, they walked around the campus to explore the facilities. As the festival was about to begin, Robin had initially planned to visit his grand uncle Liam first but decided to postpone the visit. He'll visit him later.
