Robin left the arena with Andrew and Oliver, feeling a bit underwhelmed. The magic duel hadn’t been as thrilling and blood boiling as he had hoped it was more of a letdown, but he wasn’t too bothered.
As they made their way out, the group visited some stalls and ate some street snacks and enjoyed the bustling view of the campus.
Suddenly Robin’s bracelet buzzed. It was a message from his granduncle, Liam William, asking him to meet in the dean's office. Robin asked Oliver to lead because he was the most familiar with this campus in the group. Without a word Oliver took the lead, guiding them through the maze-like castle. The corridors were dark and gothic, with high ceilings, stone walls, and ancient tapestries that fluttered slightly in the breeze. Their footsteps echoed as they passed grand staircases and heavy wooden doors, the building feeling like something out of a medieval story.
After what felt like a long walk, they finally reached the dean's room.
They just stood near the door and the
A giant metal door to the dean’s room swipes open, and robin stepped into the room. The room was massive, with high ceilings and walls lined with towering bookshelves filled with old, leather-bound volumes. Some of the books glowed faintly, their covers etched with magical runes that pulsed as if alive. Floating just above the shelves were digital screens, displaying the name and category of these books.
At the far end of the room, large windows opened up to reveal a nice view of the skyline and hills. There is a small garden in the room that makes the room more exotic rather than ancient. Exotic plants thrived in glass pods that floated in mid-air, their roots dangling and shimmering with magical auras. Small drones moved quietly among the plants, tending to them with precision. The air from the gardens drifted in, carrying a sweet, floral scent that filled the room with a calming energy.
In the center of the room was a grand, dark wooden desk, its surface cluttered with a fascinating mix of items. There were ancient magical tools—crystal spheres, enchanted quills, and intricately carved wands—alongside sleek, modern devices that projected holograms and emitted a soft light.
On one wall, a giant digital screen displayed real-time data on planetary movement and various data, while beside it floated a series of enchanted scrolls, each rolling and unrolling in mid-air, displaying arcane symbols and spells. The contrast between magic and technology was striking, but everything seemed to fit together perfectly, as if the room itself was a bridge between the ancient looking castle and the modern technology.
The combination of magic and technology gave the room an almost otherworldly feel.
As Robin entered the dean's room, he found his granduncle Liam standing near the large windows overlooking the skyline. The old man greeted him with a wide smile and signaled him to come closer. Beside him stood five individuals, each of them wearing academy uniform .
They stood like soldiers waiting in drill.
“Robin, it’s about time you met some of your relatives” Liam said, his voice warm and welcoming. “These are your cousins, all of them students at the academy.”

Liam gestured to the twins first. They both had sharp, confident eyes and stood tall, almost in sync with each other.
“This is Aria you've already seen her in the arena,” Liam said, pointing to the young woman with long, dark hair tied neatly behind her back. She had a quiet intensity about her, her piercing eyes studying Robin carefully. “And this is Aiman, the champ,” he continued, nodding toward the young man beside her. Aiman had a similar presence to his sister but carried himself with a laid-back air, his easygoing smile contrasting with Aria’s more serious demeanor.
“They’re my grandchildren, I've already told you about them. They’re seniors at the academy. Top of their class,” Liam added with a proud smile. Aria gave Robin a polite nod, while Aiman grinned, extending his hand.
“Nice to finally meet you, cousin,” Aiman said, shaking Robin’s hand with a firm grip. “We’ve heard about you from the old man.”
“I hope all good things,” Robin replied with a smile, shaking his hand in return. Aria, still assessing him with her sharp gaze, gave a small but respectful smile.
Liam then moved on to the three younger children standing beside the twins, who seemed a bit more hesitant.
“These three are Jaime, Nina, and Alexander. Jamie is sister Linda’s grandchildren, and nina and Alexander are from other brunch family, they're your 4th cousin. and all of them are in in middle school here at the academy.”
Jaime, the eldest of the trio, had an air of quiet confidence, his glasses resting neatly on his nose as he gave Robin a friendly nod. “I’ve been looking forward to meeting you, ” he said softly, his voice more reserved than the twins.
Next to him stood Nina, with bright, curious eyes and a wide smile that immediately lit up the room. “It’s so cool to finally meet you! I’ve never met any of our cousin who just… arrived suddenly like you did,” she said excitedly, her energy contagious.
Alexander, the youngest, stood with a shy smile, fidgeting slightly. He looked up at Robin with a mix of awe and curiosity, clearly unsure how to address his older cousin.
Robin knelt slightly to meet Alexander’s gaze and gave him a gentle smile. “I’m glad to meet you all. I guess we have a lot of catching up to do, huh?” he said, offering his hand to Alexander, who shook it shyly, his eyes brightening.
Liam, watching the interactions, chuckled. “Robin, it seems like you’re already making an impression. You’ll get to know each other better over time, I’m sure.”
Robin straightened up and smiled at all of them. “I’m really glad to meet all of you,” he said, feeling a sense of belonging he hadn’t expected.
The group exchanged more greetings and small talk, the room slowly filling with warmth as the cousins began to relax around one another. Robin could feel that this was the start of something meaningful, and he was ready to step deeper into his family’s world.
Although he was a middle age man but communicating with them was not a problem as a salary man he had mastered the skill of communication.
All the kids were under 20, they were filled with Curiosity. They asked robin where he was from, where he live , where was he all this time and many more question.
Robin politely gave all of them fitting answer to fuel their imagination.
After talking with them for a bit, they bid fair wall to robin and liam and left the deans rooom.
"They seems to like you" Liam said with a smile.
"Kids are easy to pleased" robin replied.
"By this world's standard you are also a kid" liam said with loud smile. His smile filled the room.
"You know most of the adults on the family are strict. Woman handle family matters and almost most of the man's are in military. So they never had anyone your age talk with them freely, there are some kids in the family who are at your age but they're busy to settle their position in the family. " Liam said with sigh.
" It's a good thing to think about one's career , not like me though i got freebies from the house it's like early retirement for me." Robin jokingly said.
"you don't have think about your future. You had suffered enough but now we've got your back" liam said while patting robins back.
With Lima's signal of hand a bottle of wine came floating in the air with small glass. Liam poured a glass for robin and one for himself.
They chatted for a while accompanied by the view of horizon and enjoy a nice drink.
Robin semi-drunk left the room and reunited with his group. The trio left the gothic castle and went to rest in their small condo.
Just like that another eventful day was finished.
