51 Sludge must not flow

I march as my butler covers me with an umbrella. A military transport's window rolls down, Carter nods up, "Get in." He opens the door and the rain smacks my coat on entry. Damn butler. The butler stares at me with worry on his face, "Thank you." He quickly nods and shuts the door. "Cornelius, have a drink." Kaylin lounges back in comfort as I clutch my gun. "Why did you call for me?" "I want to show you what I want from you." Men and women shiver in the streets, they even stop at the sudden winds. A brick flies at me, I leap out it's path as it breaks and bounces off the window. On another look, people are staring with trash in hand, what stops some of them from throwing their rotten food is that the peasants remember they can eat it. Kaylin looks at Carter, "People hate your ideas." He smiles, "That's entirely fine." I shake my head as we stop.

A fence rolls open as soldiers stand at the ready to defend this old building. As the doors swing open, an intense heat sweeps over us. We come upon a railing, overlooking what's below. Soldiers shovel hot coals under a giant pipe, "Open chamber 1!" Through the thick oven glass on the pipe, black sludge pours in.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

"So this is the new water treatment situation!?" Carter shakes his head, "We are burning so much coal and gas to burn all that living black sludge. You humans create so much filth. But I think I've got a solution." A battered man and a woman with an arm missing are shoved through some doors. Kaylin leans on the railing as they limp in at gunpoint. Wilkins stops besides us, "That's the woman that your men attacked, Poacher." Carter points, "Who's the giant naked gorilla?" He smiles, "That gorilla, is the last of that rogue sewer team I was telling you about. As you can see, he emerged unchanged. He's definitely a demon." The soldiers shout as the giant stands tall and points up at us with a stern frown. One shoots and he reels forward in pain. The woman looks up and shouts, "We're innocent! Let us go, you pricks! We have rights!" Carter leans over the railing and shouts, "You're a demon! You have no rights!" She stiffens up as more soldiers train their guns on her.

"Get to your point, Carter." He smiles, "I want you to wake someone up." I raise my head, "Who is this someone?" "The creator of Lady Liberty." I take a step away from him as he smirks, "What's wrong?"
