Sopping wet, I open the door and drop my ballistic vest at the door. Only then do I flip the lights on to my apartment paid for by Onyx Corp. I sit down on my bed and it's frame bends under my weight. I take off my holster and drop it. I put my hands on my face. I hiccup, then come the tears.
Jessica's Aquatic body pulses against my wounds as I slowly open up her apartment door. I silently walk up and raise my gun. I turn the corner and she's half covered, laying on her side, crying. What a back she has. It's definitely her. I raise my gun to her head and she starts talking, "Why is everything so fucked?" She bangs against her pillow and Jessica nudges her body at me. No. I need more. "Bullet wants me to be so strong. But I'm not." She starts sobbing and I pick up her gun. She turns, yelps, leaps off the bed and takes a step back as I unload her gun, one bullet after the other, they blonk onto the floor.
She quickly covers her chest. Her body shivers while shouting, "Just do it!" Jessica tries to pull me out the room, but she rolls off me and rolls away. I collapse and there's the giantess standing over me with that forced menacing face with tears in her eyes. My smirk fades. I look up at her as tears still drop onto me. "You're not like Bullet, like Cornelius. Stop trying to be." She shouts, "Why are you here!?" I exhale hard as I try to stand. I fall and just look into her eyes, "I hate to see a girl cry herself to sleep." She walks away to grab her clothes. Her hair's braided up in a tight ponytail as I march over as she clothes herself. She jumps and looks back at me. "Do you trust me?" She doesn't say a word and I pull her bra straps up and clip it.
I grab her braid and start undoing it. She makes noises of hesitation, but she lets me do it, one twist after the other. I take a couple steps back. Her hair's nice like this. Little hook-shaped locks of stray hair, wild in nature. I squint, she looks like someone else. She turns and peeks at me, I hold out my hand, "Can you follow me? I wanna show you something." She sniffles and takes my hand with the lightest squeeze.
I look to the side as he leads me into my small bathroom. He turns me to the mirror and I look away from it, "Look at yourself." I lower my head. He groans while stretches his arms, then he jerks my head to face the mirror. "Look at you." Heavy bags under my eyes from all the crying. My obscene and frayed hair. My wide frame and folds. "I'm hideous." He laughs and I turn so quick. I punch him and he collapses. He rubs his face and doesn't even try to get up, "You're beautiful." I look away from the mirror, "I'm not." He sighs, "You are not like the people who raised you. You're beautiful inside and out. I mean, look! You were raised by psychopaths. The things you do take a toll on you. I'd know." "Don't talk about Bullet like that!" He scoffs, "All I'm saying is be yourself or I'll be back to kill you." He huffs, then I hear something burst away behind me. I turn and he's already gone. I turn back to the mirror and turn back and forth. "I'm beautiful?"
I grab the alley's wall and puke. The radio comes on, "Did you kill her, Terry?" I smile, "I did. Now the documents." Jennifer shouts my way, "Are you trying to die!?" I wipe my mouth, "Hey, Jen." "Don't Jen me! I'm crossing the Onyx Family for your stupid ass!" I roll my eyes, "This stupid ass has a plan far greater than anything a blood junkie has." I'm one to talk. She presses her lips together and finally shuts up. I smile as Verank sneaks up, "So it's done?" I nod, then see he has a rifle covered in blood. "I see you took out his sniper." He raises it above his head like some caveman, shaking it, "Did you kill that big bitch!?" Jen tries to speak as I cut her off immediately, "I have Amber Dirt wrapped around my finger. That's worth more than her death." "So you're saying I can try killing that big bitch!?" He smiles wildly at the thought, "Nope. She's an asset." He finally lets the rifle drop as he hunches over.

"Jennifer?" She looks to me with a resting bitch face. "Enhance my movements again?" She starts morphing into a puddle, "Two hours." She wraps around my cuts and we set off, "Deal."
As we get towards the drop off, Verank splits from us to put that rifle to good use. God, this is dangerous. Meeting with a man I fucked over, not once, but twice now. He knows I killed his sniper, this is likely an ambush. "Jen?" Her head reforms, "What now?" "I need you to slither over and get the documents for me." She peels off me, "Why?" I sigh, "It's an ambush and they can't just kill water." She groans, "Fine, but I get full access to his blood!" She slithers away in the torrential rain while I limp towards where Verank went.
I slither through the other puddles of rain and shudder as it touches me. Ugh, the water around me feels like slime, not in the good way. My eyes reform and there's that little park with a tree in the middle, now I see it, under a bench. I slither over and reform my eyes again. I reach up with my tentacles and a loud vibration comes from the rooftops. I turn-
I limp onto a rooftop, I jump as a loud explosion sounds, then an explosion of light. I grab the ledge and there's a destroyed bench in the tiny alley park. I follow from the damage and there's an Onyx Mercenary on a lower rooftop. A gunshot goes off and the merc jumps and pulls his gun. I take out my pistol and open fire at him. I wince at the pain as each shot irritates my wounds. He gets out of cover and a gunshot goes off, the merc falls over and Verank hoists his rifle over his head from another roof, sounds like a celebration. But where's Jen?' She reforms out of thin air and screams in pain. I look down and her arm is gone. She grabs at her missing arm and sobs. I grab my radio, "Verank, run back and don't get followed!" "Fine." She looks up at me in a pool of her diluted blood, what's left of her arm covered by water.
I limp down to her and she's already trudging away. I groan and hobble after her, "That fucking bastard!" She turns and a tentacle of water wraps around my neck, the back of my head slams against a brick wall. "You're the bastard! I lost my arm because of you!" She screams in my face crying. I laugh wildly and she loosens her grip, "You think this is funny!?" I take a deep breath and twist my body. She tightens her grip, bit it is too late. I swing my leg into her head. We both collapse into a puddle, I look up and she's out cold. I huff and puff as Sirens get closer. I grab her feet as Cornelius shouts through the radio, "You are in the deepest shit, Terry! Hope it was worth it!" I snarl and shout, "Fuck!"
